Why you upset bro? Just making a compliment that America is actually smart enough to not endorse a clear pedophile.
No need to be so testy.

I'm sure they worked in some "de Jews did it!" narrative too.
Currently their mental gymnastic to turn this into a win for them is that liberals equals everyone is going to go abortion happy, therefore less future young people to vote against them in the future ensuring their control in the long game. Another example of their laughable "4d chess game" mentality.
-
The fact that he lost this despite rampant voter suppression and the state's normal uber-redness is telling. Progressives CAN galvanize still. Maybe the "DNC cheated us!" "Dems are Just as Bad!" wing of the Left are finally starting to wise up.
Judging from some of the exchanges I've gotten on twitter? nope.
@Cyan:
One of the seats up in 2018 is Ted Cruz's. Taking his head would be magnificent.
If we can't get McConnell, Ryan, or even Darrell Issa he'll definitely do.

lol Roy Moore still not conceding when there isn't going to be a recount at all.

lol Roy Moore still not conceding when there isn't going to be a recount at all.
Here is Moore's attempt at a recount, in video if you have 10 minutes:
! Roy Moore played by Bruce McCulloch. Not sure who Kevin McDonald is. Maybe Steve Bannon?
-
So, now that he lost, can we arrest Moore for his pedophilia now?
-
Has Roy gotten his recount results yet? If so, is he demanding another recount?
Give up, Roy. You lost. It's over.
-
On some level Roy must realize now that he lost this shit, that the masses of people sticking up for him against accusations will be losing interest very quickly.
And if the accusations don't lose interest? Welllll -
@Kaba:
Has Roy gotten his recount results yet? If so, is he demanding another recount?
Give up, Roy. You lost. It's over.
Since the margin of victory was greater than half a percent, he can request a recount but would have to pay for it himself or, rather, whoever he could bilk the money out of. Below that amount and the state would.
-
If I believed that Moore was actually religious and not some sort of sleaze-ball huckster pedophile I'd suggest he was having some sort of "B-B-BUT GOD" thing where he can't accept losing.
That is certainly the mind-state of his diehard supporters though. -

Which he very well has his rights to but at this point, it's better for Moore to be the bigger man here and ride off into the sunset. He's honestly coming off as a crybaby who just had his rattle taken away if he's going to pursue the recount route. Sometimes, things change and this is just another lesson of that.

And if the accusations don't lose interest? WelllllNot to mention that he should never win a primary again after this which should signal the end of his political career. And yeah. A lot of the people who defended him only did so under the belief he would soon be a senator. They don't have a reason to defend him now. I figure Moore himself will never concede, and just go on about how voter fraud lost him the election or something.

Most of Moore’s classmates didn’t recall Christianity being a noticeable part of his public persona. “I had no sense that Roy was a really religious person, that he was the kind of person who would say, as he said recently, that Islam is not a legitimate religion, that homosexuality should be outlawed,” Saxon said. He added, “I can’t get into his mind, or his heart, but I think it’s all political. He’s demagoguing on those issues.” (Saxon credited Moore’s work, as a judge, in advocating for court funding and siding with unions.)

The country as a whole is better off if his supporters put money towards a wasteful, losing recount effort than elsewhere where they could potentially do some damage with it.

Bit hypocritical for someone whose 'very happy' to have Johnny Depp in a main role of her franchise
Police, courts, and basically everyone that knows Depp believes him over his ex wife. Granted, he's rich and famous so that means a bit less, but… without further proof, he should be allowed to move on from the accusations. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.
Yes, you should always give the victim that's claiming the problems the benefit of the doubt and believe them first, and I can absolutely believe Depp is an angry frequent drunk, but no one has really backed his ex wife's story.
That could change tomorrow as his first wife or a former girlfriend suddenly reveals something at which point, absolutely, start looking closer and giving the guy grief forever, but... for the moment at least it's probably acceptable for Rowling to be happy to have a (once) high profile actor in her thing.
Even if his cache as a guaranteed blockbuster maker faded a while ago.

Ahh, fair enough when you put it like that I really can't help but agree, guess I'll cut her some slack. That said, Depp's still a terrible casting choice. The get up, the dyed hair, the speech patterns and mannerisms… he just looks wonky and off in the role :getlost:

As long as it's on their dime and not the humble American Joe or Jane's dime who just simply want to live their life free from partisan bickering at least until the next mid-terms, it's all good in the hood with me.
That said, I'm just hoping that Doug will at least make a college effort to live up to the voter's expectations. Yes, it's going to be a Democratic agenda but if it helps improve state affairs for at least the collective majority of the state, then I wish him the best of luck.

Which is interesting as Depp isn't involved in politics or an accused pedophile.

Kentucky lawmaker who was accused of molesting a teenage girl likely killed himself, coroner says
Days after allegations surfaced that Kentucky lawmaker Dan Johnson had molested a member of his church when she was 17, he was found dead, an official says.
Bullitt County Coroner Dave Billings said the Republican state representative — and self-proclaimed “Pope” of his Louisville church — most likely killed himself Wednesday. His body was found near a bridge on Greenwell Ford Road in Mt. Washington, in a spot called the River Bottoms. He had a single gunshot wound to his head.
Billings plans to release more details Thursday after an autopsy is done.
Wednesday afternoon, Johnson, 57, again denied the allegations against him in a now-deleted Facebook post, adding that “I cannot handle it any longer … BUT HEAVEN IS MY HOME.”

See, you don't see me getting upset over your little remarks, so calm down. Clearly you got bigger fish to fry.

Sounds about right
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

My god the New Yorker of all people seems to be the stupidest of the bunch. Look past the accent, look past who they voted, she ACTUALLY doesn't believe the women. Ugh, fuckin'… my god these people.
EDIT: oh no, they're almost all genuinely delusional except the woman who was raped. Okey dokey, just took them a little while to open up, bleah these people are just bleah.

Northeast idiots are sometimes the worst. We're already the gruffest surliest region, which is usually fine, but when those characteristics are in the hand of a moron? Yikes.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also tend to be the most hypocritical
"Ey, my penniless rag wearing ancestors didn't even come here a 100 years ago, but lemme tell you about immigration destroying America!"
and among the ones who should know the most better too.
"I live an hour or less from possibly the most diverse and incredible location on earth, but lemme tell you about how diversity is poison!"
Northeast conservative idiots are definitely the worst.

The live broadcast of the FCC's canceling of the internet was interrupted during the final gleeful eulogy (by Pai himself) for what they called "security reasons."
Guessing it was a bomb threat or something. A desperate attempt to delay the vote for even a few more minutes…
EDIT: Oh it's over. Nvm.
-
Ajit Pai: Fuck everyone who isn't an ISP CEO.

I still has to go through court. It's not over yet.
Still, I really want to have a daily feeling that is not "Everything is awful". My twitter feed being a combination of 'Sandy Hook victim memorials' and 'FCC has fucked us over' is draining my soul.
-
Ugh. We knew this was gonna happen because it was a small bought out group rather than a large conflicting one but ugh.
Well, hopefully the giant corporations don't jump to instant full blown corruption and try to sneak it in slowly, and this can get turned back around in another year after midterms.
It's gonna be a major campaign point for democrats, along with the tax reform, WW3, and Trump in general.
Screw the guy with the giant novelty Reeces' mug.

Well, we may have possibly lost net neutrality this week, but we also got a democrat elected in Alabama, so I guess it's a wash.
-
New York is already suing the FCC.
-
When's the date it goes to court?

Wouldn't these effects take time? I can't imagine the Internet becoming unsurvivable within a month. Unless they WANT riots on the streets.

More states are joining in on that ( https://techcrunch.com/2017/12/14/new-york-attorney-general-announces-a-multi-state-lawsuit-challenging-the-net-neutrality-vote/ )
While we don’t yet know which states will be joining New York in the legal action, it’s safe to assume that we’ll see overlap with those that joined a letter calling for a delay of the vote due to revelations around faked comments during the public feedback process. The letter included 18 attorneys general from the states of Virginia, Delaware, Hawaii, California, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Maine, Mississippi, Oregon, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Washington, Vermont and the District of Columbia.
Those aren't all blue states either. Hopefully that's a good sign. For what it's worth, this isn't over.

Ajit Pai may need to start watching his back from now on. Wouldn't want himself to get whacked.
