@Gizmo:
actually Oda's been doing that since PH. When the Marines encountered the whole crew when Smiley engulfed PH, the Marines labeled it as SHs and Brownbeard, not differentiating between Kinemon. Even an Oda box short after the scene had Brownbeard as separate from the SHs, but Kinemon as part of the group.
Hrm. I guess this is just the first time its stood out to me since they were actually named individually as Strawhats… and Brownbeard was specifically a traitor former minion. But yeah, if he's been doing it even longer, thats even more the point.
@X-Ray:
Dofla doesn't KNOW where Luffy is. Sabo took his place remember?
HE'S NOT AN OMNIPOTENT READER WITH THE NARRATOR TELLING HIM THAT.
Luffy is accounted for. His spies all say that the guy that was clearly Luffy in round C is still clearly there… and when he starts fighting he'll have Luffy's strength. No one in the world knows he has an equally powerful twin brother that can take his place that happens to be in town at the same time.
Doflamingo has accounted for and covered Luffy. An X factor that NO ONE could know about, including Luffy himself up until five minutes ago!, doesn't count against him.
True. But what I wonder is ( even though Dofla is the biggest underground broker and would have access) the whole coliseum is made of Kairoseki?
It was shown to have weakening walls. Yes, for all intents and purposes, there's enough seastone to prevent a fruit user from just breaking out.
Why not just exit the same way he got in? And we all know how reckless Luffy is so he wouldn't mind making a ruckus…
- Its blocked off now.
- If Luffy made a ruckus, Dofla would know about that too.
He KNOWS where Luffy is. In the colloseum or leaving it, either way, he knows where he is and what he's doing.
Luffy making a secret quiet escape thanks to the aid of a trecherous minion while having an equally powered twin to stand in for him is NOT something ANYONE could know. Even Luffy didn't.
@desa:
He can accomplish that way faster and with certain chance of winning meaning with less chance of something going wrong. The more time pass the more there is a chance of something screwing you up. And when you're dealing with someone dangerous that shouldn't be underestimate you shouldn't do that.
HE ISN'T UNDERESTIMATING THEM. HE KNOWS WHERE EVERYONE IS, AND MOVED HIS STRONGEST GUARDS ON THE IMPORTANT STUFF. He's already wiped out their strongest ally personally, defeated their third strongest crew member, gotten an admiral on his side, has his strongest men guarding his most valuable assets, and is staying where he can monitor and be informed of everything.
And obviously, he'll get personally involved once shit starts to hit the fan.
