1. There is no a Hyuga is going have any sort of impact on the story from here on out, much less be the main villain

2. That would actually be even dumber than Tobi being Obito, since Obito was at least an established character rather than some random background character.

Naruto: I gotta admit I like this chapter, we're finally moving the fight along and it was actully surprising that Kakashi got shell shocked like that and had to be talked back by Guy of all people. Must be serious. Tobi must be gettng nervous too as apparently he doesn't remember how he nearly lost to Konan. Yeah four high powered and skilled ninja back by two of the tailed beasts ain't exactly a chick with paper powers dude. And Naruto FINALLY scores a hit on his mask. Typical we gotta drag this out one more week but we'll see if the Obito or Rin theories hold fruit.

Bleach: More yapping, pointless flashback, Enemy attack, does jack, Yammamoto finally slashes back. The end. Another chapter where nothing interesting happens. Que sara sara.

Everytime Kubo tries to convince us that chojiro was a badass, I'm always reminded of how Ichigo one shotted him, even without using his zanpakto.

Keep in mind that their success so far has been because everybody but Kenpachi and Yamamoto have acted like complete morons. Sure, Yamamoto waited until Overkill was done to fry him, but that's because he's kind of a dick and also because he was comparing the Quincy's ability to use a bankai to a Soul Reaper that he was extremely familiar with. It's pretty important for them to know how well the Quincies can use the bankai that they have stolen.

Really though, there were a lot of ways to avoid this whole situation, especially considering the Quincies announced their arrival in such a spectacularly overstated manner. The minute those pillars of light showed up, they should have had every Soul Reaper walk inside right before flooding the Seireitei with the worst chemical and biological weapons Kurotschi had on hand.

Also, and it annoys me greatly to say this, but in fairness to Kubo, Sasakibe could well have focused so much on his bankai that his shikai and physical strength suffered for it. I really don't have that much trouble with his losing to Ichigo in light of that, especially since the guy spent centuries as an executive assistant rather than an actual fighter apparently.

No comment on Naruto this week. I'm getting a bit impatient with how Kishi keeps drawing out the reveal. Next week I guess.

As for Bleach, from a standalone chapter point of view, this was a really well written chapter in terms of character development.

Then you realize "then everyone in Soul Society" knew Choujiro's name becomes laughable because no reader knew who the fuck he was. Ever. So a well written chapter by itself becomes terrible when you look at the entire story. So this makes the chapter "okay", I guess. Still, was kind of neat seeing Yamamoto young. I thought it would never happen. And the last few pages was actually pretty cool, not gonna lie.

But yet, as others said, Choujiro being labled as a badass is stupid when Ichigo pummeled him with one punch to the face back BEFORE he even got his Hollow powers.

It's kind of sad that we will not see Yamamoto's bananakai. Four reasons:

Uoooh Captain Commander, it will get stolen!
Such strong thing has a chance of killing Herr Buckbeard. And that is unacceptable. Because Ichigo of course will be the one to win.
If not killing, then injuring him. But if all it can do is only injuring, and after all the destruction shikai can provide, that's wayy to shaky for future showdowns. Even Kubo must feel like it. After all, all he cares about is wow effect. And it will be shaven down if Ichigo can dish out more damage than old man's bankai.
A possibility - Kubo probably has no idea how Yamamoto's bankai looks. And after all this buildup it must be something spectacularly looking. Which he can't provide.

So, yet another delay on the inevitable reveal of Obito. Unless Kishi's gonna drag this twist out for all its worth, I'm guessing we'll finally get some answers next week.

As for Bleach… I admit, I actually kinda liked this flashback, if only because I kinda like Captain Genocide. Compared to most of the cast in Bleach, a flashback of him is actually quite interesting. So, aside from the obvious "It doesn't matter because Sasakibe is dead" or "Sasakibe got punched out by Ichigo" comments, I didn't have any problems with this chapter.

Speaking of, I'm just curious; why does everyone seem to have a problem with Komamura? He's admittedly one of my favorite Captains, even if he constantly gets jobbed in favor of the newest, stronger foe that has to prove itself way stronger than anyone could hope to overcome... kinda like Chad, in that regard.

you know how Itachi killed Orochimaru by having him jump out of Sasuke's neck and now Sasuke revived him by bring i ng him out of anko's neck. Does that mean that there could be as many orochimaru's as people that have that curse seal on them?

How many people are there with that? Can more than one orochimaru be revived at once? If 100 people had that seal and Sasuke went to them all, would there be 100 REAL orochimaru's? This kind of feels like harry potter with he who must not be named sending his soul into like different objects to gain immortality.

In that thinking, if someone revived Voldermort with those seals what happens if more than one is unsealed at a time? Would there be multiple voldermorts running around then?

Because despite the way she is written, I like her abilities and she has the potential to be something Kubo never lets her be. Which can be said for so many other characters in this story.

And I always have a soft spot for kind hearted characters. And yes, she was pretty screwy with Aizen, but she has had her moments of actual personality that I was reminded of rewatching the Soul Society arc.

But seriously, I view her as more emotionally disturbed than anything, mainly due to Aizen's manipulation. If Kubo would only redeem the character, that trait in the beginning wouldn't be as bad, but the issue is that Kubo forever leave the character without developing in the least bit. Which holds true to a ton of other soul reapers as well.

You're all entitled to your opinions, but I always expect these types of reactions when I bring it up, and my only reason in mentioning it in the first place was because I really somehow missed that one panel. Must have thought it was Ruka without paying much attention.

Now, if you want a female character that got shafted by Kubo, Tatsuki Arisawa fits the description to a tee. Goddamn, do I wish Orihime didn't exist, that way Tatsuki could be the main female lead (not love interest), instead. The girl is an accomplished martial artist and used to make Ichigo cry like a little bitch when they were kids, for fuck's sake! And the best part of the Arrancar Arc was when Tatsuki punched Ichigo so hard that his head broke a window upon contact. So much potential, wasted. Screw you, Kubo.

As for Momo, sorry, Chopper, but her entire personality is "AIZEN-SAMA!!!" Hell, Matsumotits has more personality, and she's a walking pair of overly-huge breasts. Though, this is strictly my opinion and you obviously have yours, so we'll have to agree to disagree…

I will agree with you regarding Tatsuki, though. I'm not a huge fan, but she's a good character and she seems to have a connection to the plot while being completely shafted at the same time. Which doesn't make any damn sense.

Also I am 100% sure, Kishi would be capable of doing such a shit, that there are going to be 100 Oros running around, I think it works rather like this:

You need to get one person with a cursed seal, the one you want. Then you just pull him out. If you get lucky and finde another one with the seal, you can open it and Oro will just get some of his power back. Well the possibility would be, that a second oro would come out and the first oro will need to absorb him…

But well, its Kishi we're talking about, everything is possible by him...
