About Monet…I don't think she's a DF user as crazy as it sounds. Laffite has the same ability as her and there can't be 2 same DFs. Laffite is also mostly seen without wings meaning he can control them. It's probably some sort of mythical race or w/e.

…so, why did the scientist order Brownbeard to be killed? That kind of doesn't make sense, except using it as one of the most tired and boring cliches to make your villain look evil.
Except that, alright chapter I guess. Law is still boring and uninteresting, and apparently we entirely dropped the idea of Caesar being some kind of Dr. Frankenstein like scientist, who would sew humans and animals together, because why the fuck not.
The Yeti Brothers seem to be really cool, I kinda like the idea of having two semi-giants relying on long-ranged weapons and being sneaky in battle. Let's see where this goes.
Also, the cover smells of red herring.Probably killed them because he failed in dealing with the Straw Hats, he thought he partnered with the Straw Hats since he was seen traveling with them, or the old clitche "being evil to be evil."
On another note. I love the arc so far, but I really want to know who is the main villing going to be. Is it CC or Joker? Kind of on the fence about it. Anyway great chapter Cool Brothers appear to be pretty strong, but I still believe Zoro's team were nothing but fake copies. It seem NamiFranky was kidnapped. I know it is Oda thing to kidnapped Nami, but at least it was a much better reason. Nami in the wrong body at the wrong time. Kind of weird to see ChopperSanji put up no fight against the brothers, but they were moving to fast for him to keep up or notice. Nice to see Law has nothing to do with the kids and just there to research. One thing is weird. WHERE IS HIS CREW??? He seem to go to the Island alone so I wonder what do he need to get back. BTW where is he going? More question then answers. Chaper gets a 9

I know there was a lot of hype for this chapter…but I was pleased. Especially with the confirmation the Bon Clay is alive and well and the new Queen of 5.5 :D
Law is probably heading to Zoro, Sanji, and Brook's location. The guards he took out were probably the ones sent to go pick up their "bodies". I found it interesting that Oda revealed Law's facial reaction to Caeser drugging the children...Law's face is usually shadowed by his hat whenever something serious is being discussed, so you don't really know how he's reacting. And from the looks of it, Law is not pleased that the kids are being drugged. It's either that, or he's mad that he wasn't offered any of the candy-coated drugs. How rude, Caeser!
OMG I loved Nami pretending to use Franky's laser beams by using sound effects! Ha! I can totally see her doing that when Caeser demands her to use the lasers.
Caeser: Show me your lasers. The lasers that are just as powerful as Vegapunk's pacifistas. Show me now!

Knowing Oda, Bon Clay being alive was kind of expected. Plus, we knew that Magellan had his ass kicked by Blackbeard, so there was a high chance that that happened before he could do something to Bon Clay. Although considering that we didn't see his face, it is probable that he may have a few scars;

Zoro, Brook and Sanji being reported dead really makes me wonder how they were taken out. Of course, I doubt anyone actually believes they are dead (except for Brook, yohohohoh), but it still makes me wonder what kind of attack the Yeti Brothers used on them. I doubt that Sanji and Zoro even noticed them, cause they were arguing with each other, and the only one who seems to have prepared to fight was Brook. Considering we don't see any traces of smoke or explosions nearby, they may have used some kind of gas, although it being the result of Kinemon's powers is also a possibility;

Now we know that the reason why Law is working with Caeser is not because his crew was kidnapped, because he went to Punk Hazard by his own will, apparently to do research on Vegapunk's old experiments. I wonder what is he trying to accomplish, and where is crew is. Caeser mentioned that Law would have done a better job (I assume handling the Marines), so they are definitely alive and nearby;

Monet didn't always have wings. I would have liked her to have some sort of Devil Fruit, but now it seems more likely that those bird features are Law's doing;

The Straw Hats being considered as dangerous as Blackbeard seems really weird, unless they are talking about potential future danger. Still, Blackbeard is already a Yonko, and the Government still has no evidence to prove that the Straw Hats are capable of handling the New World, so it does seem strange. Maybe it was a mistranslation;

The Yeti Brothers do look like powerful fighters, considering they were able to easily kidnap Nami/Franky and dispose of Chopper/Sanji, and also escape Luffy. I wonder who will take them out - I would love to see a Sanji - Zoro teamwork effort, it would be hilarious;

Finally, I'm eager to see what Law is going to do. I hope he went to meet the Straw Hats, and possibly revert them back to normal, I'm getting kind of tired of this body switch thing. Still not sure on which side he is, he doesn't seem to be a villain type like Caeser but he also doesn't seem like a person who would team up with the Straw Hats (after all, he has no reason to, considering he's staying in Punk Hazard because he wants to);

The Yeti Cool Bros certainly live up to their name. I have to think, like another has said earlier, that the Samurai has camouflaged them to look dead. Either that or Brook pulled some of his musical hypnosis and made them see things. Still with Zoro, Sanji and the Samurai together there is no way the Bros snuck up on them so easily, not when each one has shown some sign of early awareness.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 4 of them schemed all that just to follow them and find out exactly what they are up to.
Love that the government considers them the 2nd greatest threat after Black Beard, from their respective generation anyway. The eventual bounty raises are going to be epic. By the way, why do most people choose Beli over Berries? In early chapters Oda even wrote it out in english, but I don't think anyone here really uses that term in English.

So Brook's dead… this is news? XP
Spent a good few minutes on the cover page just smiling and being happy. While I was hoping to see whether the ones that fell behind/didn't go on the Impel Down breakout had reformed somehow, I wasn't expecting to get some Bon-chan so soon! It's sad that he didn't get out, but great that he's not freezing to death or anything. The rest of the chapter wasn't as exciting, but I enjoyed seeing Law's background on getting there and how it looks like he's being setup as the real wildcard in how this is going to turn out. I thought it'd be the Samurai, but now I'm leaning more towards Law. Probably cuz he seems more dangerous.

as we recall everyone left ID 5.5, so if bon clay is the new queen… his corpse has probably been rotting there for 2 years all alone. not to mention the government had cameras to see the prisoners running out and have probably found the entrance, i seriously doubt magellan or hannyabal want another escape force like that to be assembled.
Guessed the drugs in the candies thing right, then again it's 50/50
And the Yeti brothers attack blew luffy back, and he didn't dodge, so that may be something interesting, i also think that they're probably bounty hunters, well organized and good teamwork (hope so anyways, not every strong person we meet has to be a pirate). Law on the move too, can't wait to see what his goal was while working for cc. he looked as pissed as chopper when he heard about the candy. Couldn't help but notice he didn't get to PH with his crew either... still wondering wtf is up with them.

Eh, a pretty ok chapter, although nothing spatacular IMO. Plus I think it's pretty freaking obvious that Sanji, Zoro, and Brook are just faking their deaths since there is not a scratch on them.

I like how the Yeti brothers are presenting themselves as threats. Zoro and co are "dead" and considering the yeti's seem to blow everything up, gas is no likely the weapon they used. I don't believe they're dead, but it's a good mystery nonetheless. I like the follow up of the Yeti bros legitimately terrorizing crew with their stealth and speed, in spite of the fact that they're large enough to grasp Franky with one hand. It's impressive considering Luffy's supposed to have "Mantra" right now, I really wonder what the extend of their abilities are.
I also had a messed up thought, what if Zoro and co really are dead, and Law revives them later? That'd really crazy huh?

I said that last chapter because i don't see the point in the samurai being given a devil fruit if its not going to help the strawhat's and he did not say his fruit was the cloths cloths fruit like that idiot who kept making shit up to say i was wrong about it and it also it gives the readers a cliff hanger to make the arc more interesting after what happened in fishman island.
Samurai seems to have been on the island for enough time to know about the main people on it and the cool brothers might even be working for Law because he seems to be headed where Zoro and that is also Law does not seem to want to kill the strawhat's because he saved Luffy.

IMHO, Brook, Sanji and Zoro has been saved by Kinemon. These bodies are fake somehow made up by the Wanokuni samurai with the power of hi devil fruit.

Zoro, Sanji, Brook spuposingly dead but we all know they are not and again these "rescue" arcs, for gods sake. This time it is Nami's turn and again they need to rescue someone.
Not to mention that these two guys are at one time shooting at Luffy, than he jumps wants to attack and they are gone.
And in the end Law is coming to save the day or something.Whatever the case, I don't like this kind of development.

lol if this chapter('s cover page) proved anything it's that no one ever dies in One Piece unless you see their corpse explicitly
There are some (no many though) cases that prove that wrong. We never saw Banchina's moment of death or her corpse, just her last moment with her son, Usopp. So we can't say "no one"
Monet never had wings back when Law first came to Punk Hazard.
Those wings have never disappeared from her back, even in CC's "office".
If she was a Zoan she would have de-activated her devil fruit in CC's office like when Law first appeared on the Island.This was Laws work, not a devil fruit.
Ah but Caeser hasn't de-activated his power either. He appears mostly human but he is still having gas floating around and from him, showing he has not deactivated his power.
Personally, I will wait for more info before making a desision.

not necessarily. Remember Marco 1st commander of Whitebeard Pirates. Also I thought when we saw his 'beaky face' is while he was flying? There fore he would want to have some bird features as a hawk's eyes see farther than human's eye would.
btw, is it possible for a zoan to partly change their body? normally they will only have 3 forms right? the only two that shown to be able to partly change their body is marco and lafitte (assuming that he do have zoan DF power).
Don't forget about Chopper, he has 7 forms, and he no longer needs the Rumble Ball for the extras except for 1 form! The three forms are the basic that anyone who first gets the zoan df can use- natural form (human in most cases, reindeer for Chooper), hybrid, and full animal. With training they can form only partially, like a hand or feet.
Of course theis is all speculative.

In Shinto beliefs, everything has a spirit but when an object reaches 100 they can become more powerful. That is why some traditional pictures of demon spirits include one that looks like a umbrella but with its handle becoming a foot and has one eye. They often say something like "you're 1000 years too young to tell me what to do."
Its those numbers that Oda would do something for, not 666 wich only means something in the christian faith and not in eastern faiths of Shintoism and Buddaism. While yes there are christains in Japan its not the top faith as it is in the west, and the eastern faiths are far older there

I think that Oda is going to safe both Van Auger and Yasopp until later, nearer to the end. I think the Yeti Cool Brothers are cannon fodder that won't be signifacant players after this arc so l say let Usopp take one out
We also have two characters named John (John Giant and captain John), and several characters named Maria and similar names (the nurse Marie from Sabaody, Marigold with the nickname Mari, Maria Negikuma and Maria Napole) as well as Catherine and similar names (Miss Catherine from Baroque Works, Catarina Devon and the waitress Gatherine).
Oda can be bad at remembering names or thinking of new ones, apparently.Or he could have done that on purpose to give a realistic touch. oh as for similar names, dont forget about Marco and Macro lol

HMmm I noticed something in that flashback. IT was Mone that asked of Law can do something for the paralized guys, Caeser was "...." . Maybe he wasn't interested in them having mobility?About "Chopper didn't do anything to help Nami" complaints .... We didn't see the capture, maybe Chopper did try to use one of his forms but was unable to anything. Remember there the kids there, Chopper would not leave them and run after Nami.

I really like the idea that Kinemon faked Zoro and Nami's dead bodies. I'd like to add that they should have/did leave the real Brooke there on purpose so that he could see who/what they are up against, without compromising the ruse (if they checked for his pulse, or something).

Ah do not forget there are different models of DFs. We have seen two types of Zoan DFs that transnforms into dogs=
Mr. 4's gun was 'fed' a DF to make Lasso, similar to how Spandam's sword was fed one elepahnt zoan to crete FunkFreed. And there was that vice Admiral that had a Dog zoan. While not a Dog, Jybra's fruit is still called an Inu Inu no Mi as well.
Lasso= Inu Inu no Mi, Model Dashhound
Dalamtion = Inu Inu no Mi, model Dalmation
Jybra= Inu Inu no Mi, model WolfAs for bringing up Laffite, if he is a zoan, he would have to have a bird zoan and we already seen one long before Laffie = Pell is a bird zoan, his DF is Tori Tori no Mi, model Falcon. Wince he has white wings Laffite could be a white bird model, like a swan. So Mone could be another type of bird.
Just wanted to point out the possibility of related zoans but they are still different fruits

Its not a surprise. Remember way back when the Strawhats first met Aokoji he said that its not just their fighting ability that influences the bounty but how dangerous they are to the government. While it was only their Capt. Luffy that invaded Impel Down and showed up fighting at Marineford, the entire crew was involved in Enneis Lobby.
So the Govt would see the Strawhats as only crew to attack the top three Govt. islands. Its not just "worst of their genreation" either.(Mone made the comment of the Strawhats "being from the worst genereation like Law".
When they attacked Enneis Lobby its said that no one has defeated CP9 in the 800 yrs the EL has exsited. Impel Down has had only one person break out before Luffy, but Luffy was only one to break in, cause a riot and be seen as one of the 'masterminds' behind the only mass breakout from ID.
Luffy has punched a Tenryuubito while Usopp sat on another.
All this put put together makes the Strawhats be seen as a danger to the Govenrment.
AS for Law's crew, Law went to Punk Hazard interested in some of the Govt' past experiments. Maybe he had known about the disaster had left some hazards so he had ordered his crew to stay behind? Maybe we are all thinking that they were captured or in some danger when they may be sitting in the sub waiting on Law?
It's just a s plausible as the crew getting captured.esp since we know that Law isn't co-operating with CC to see to his crew's safety. -

These words appeared right over what we've been looking at this whole time – that "gas jacket" he has around him. The only solid clothes he seems to have on is a striped jumpsuit underneath.
It's just another case of Oda Oda'ing. He adds new details to characters he introduces full chapters ahead; this won't be the first time. Guess he thought CC's design was too plain as is.

I still don't see how Monet is not a Devil Fruit user. She evidently transformed back to human form in the middle of CC's and Law's current conversation. There was no flashback involving Law meeting her and transforming her.
Note that she can flip pages with her wings, but she needs to write in human form, and asking Law to replace wings for arms mid-conversation is rude and disruptive.
Besides, why turn arms into wings when you have 2 working arms and wings can be added on without taking away arms?
It's far more plausible that Monet is a Tori Tori no Mi user, like Pell and Laffitte.
