arlong was freed from impel down 11 years ago and he arrived at nami's island 10 yearsa go, that's all we know. the 11 years thing isn't stated in the flashback(there is a sapn of panels where you don't know how many time has passed between 12 years ago and arlong's liberation) but here
Didn't Arlong arrive in EB 12 years ago? Also pretty sure Hody's comment was mostly referring to the Hachi's time with Tiger when Hody's gang were only teenagers. By his death the Sun pirates were fractured and away from FI.
Arlong arrived in Nami's village when she was ten, eight years before the start of series. At one point durign Arlong Parc arc, one of his crew comments on the islands they took control of in the 8 years they've been there. Nami was 18 then, so they arrived when she was 10. Add the 2 years of timeskip and that's 10 years ago.

This was 10 yrs ago, the same time when Arlong left to East Blue.
So why did Hody say after his introduction that they weren't old/strong enuff to be in Arlong's crew?
This makes absolutely no sense to me. If it comes to Hody, he immediately left the Neptune army when he stole those pills, so his training in the army has ended after his robbery.
Did it take them 8-10 full years to use those pills properly? IDK…
They were referring to the original Sun Pirates when he said that if they were stronger, then they would join them, which was 15 years ago.

We also know that Hody Jones was planning on being Arlong's right hand man, so he was probably planning on doing that by mass producing the E.S.'s, but biulding up an army, which would take time. After he heard that thew Arlong Pirates were defeated, that set his pland back a bit, but not much. With Arlong gone, Hody was in no rush to leave the Fishman District and also get the allies that Arlong couldn't get (Hyouzou and Vander Decken) before taking up his new plan of overthrowing the Ryugu Kingdom and killing the human kings at the Reverie.

Her personal disorder IMO: She gets totally mad when she sees a beautiful girl. Because of that I drew her wearing a corset that isn't able to fulfill its duty. We never had this personal disorder in a female character (IIRC the only one was Pauly so far because he was shy) and it'd be funny seeing her interacting with Nami/Robin.
Bout Tamagon:
He looks like a mixture between Tamagon from the Franky family and the Baggy-Baggy-fruit commander of the WBs.
I also drew 'em with leaf/tree tattoos. I thought aside from her JollyRoger it'd be a nice signature mark of BigMom.
Aside from that IMO those 2 messengers as well as the rest of her crew could be sons and daughters of her.
Her running gag line could be:"I am so fat and ugly! Why did I have to give birth to so many kids!??"
All in all I'm happy with the result cause it KINDA looks oda-ish. Just wanted to post a better prediction than Tonyoho on DA did.

What I'm kinda wondering is how bad would Big Mam actually be in comparison to Catarina Devon. Granted one's a Yonkou and the other was just a level six prisoner, but it was Catarina who was called the worse female pirate, not Big Mam. I guess seeing how her two "messengers" respond will be an early indicator of how she runs things.

I can remember that I totally failed when I predicted CatDevons design.
But this time with BigMom I had way more references 2 use when I drew her.
I guess the SHs will sumhow provocate her by beating those messengers.
But b4 the SHs and BigMom's crew will have a major clash, Nami will have a look @ Lola's vivre card, cause BigMom reminds Nami of Lola and then Nami asks:"Oi, are u Lola's mom?"
And Charlotte will be like:"U know my daughter!?" And then things will deescalate.
About Luffy being Luffy in this Chapter, I think Jimbe doesn't quite get his way of thinking (or his lack of anyway XD)
Luffy didn't need to hear more because in his mind he would fight Blackbeard whatever BB was up to or despite if he became a Yonkou or not. If he cross Luffy's path he would fight him, simple as that.
It made me remember the time when Nami complained about being put in danger by seeking Crocodile and Luffy replied that they are Always in danger anyway, as they are pirates.
Notices how Zoro who was supposed to be asleep was the only one that didn't "complain" about Luffy's behaiviour, as he is the one to get Luffy the most.
Anyway, I think this is obvious but no-one comented about it.
Besides Luffy being stupid and giving his crew extra work its supposed to be a "a gag", kind like Zoro getting lost of Sanji having his nosebleeds.
Don't know where else to say it but thank you brennen.exe for the effort and for telling the exact days and all the details. I personally know about it in general but I am sure it was useful for many and even for me it is good to be 100% sure on something. It makes you wonder less and that is great ;)

Remembering that Ace faught Aokiji to a draw with his Fire-element fruit, while he got completely outclassed by Akainu's magma, there should have been no doubt that Akainu would trump Aokiji in a logia ability fight.

Part of the explanation for the battle is that Aokiji was actually determined to win. I think it's pretty clear that he was much more determined to beat Akainu in this situation than he had been to recapture Ace. And the chapter clearly states that Akainu barely won..
The match wasn't decided by some Devil Fruit superiority. It was decided by personal skill, strength and etc.
It'd be pretty lame to say Sakazuki won due to some Devil Fruit advantage. A 10 day fight ending with both of them being severely injured doesn't happen with one having a superior Devil Fruit. They were both just about equal but Sakazuki was able to edge out over Kuzan.

Except the thing that BB ONLY used the gura gura no mi to conquer WB's turf, everything else was rather clear to me.
And why BB has attention to Luffy? Well, he is a young 'D.',
and like WB said sum day one of that "family" will come and turn this world upside down.
Only other Ds so far are Dragon and Garp. They have different goals than Teach, but Luffy wants the same as BB, so maybe because of that Luffy is a thorne in the eye of BB.

Interesting… So my guess is that the Marines have perfected Pacifista cyborgs on their side, but could it be something else? My initial thought was that since Akainu brought a greater presence of Marines into the New World, this would raise the ambitions of those Marines, making them much stronger than before. But for the Marines to gain so much more power over the last two years, it must be something related to the Pacifista.
As for Blackbeard being interested in Luffy, it could be that he just wants to eliminate him as a threat. He must have understood during the war, how Shanks and others helped Luffy survive. He must have read the newspapers when he saw Luffy go back to Marineford with Rayleigh and Jinbe. Blackbeard probably knows that Luffy has powerful allies, and that in itself makes Luffy into a great threat. And/or, Blackbeard saw the great potential of the Gomu-Gomu fruit with their short skirmish in Impel Down, and now wants it?

I agree with you there. i think for Luffy the Navy is the bigger threat, thats why he said Akainu's name when Jimbei told him that Sakazuki was the new head of the navy. However when Jimbei Mentioned BB Luffy didnt give a damn. Plus it it seems as though Luffy it probably going about this the way BB would. Because BB doesnt like to fight with a plan and he leaves everything up to fate as well

I'd say there's a 0.000001% chance of this ever happening. BB is a former warlord and a current Yonkou. Akainu has NO reason at all to join with him. Shanks will likely be defeated by BB. BB will be defeated by Luffy at Raftel and then Luffy and crew will head back to Mariejois to take on the the Gorosei/World Government with Dragon/Revolutionaries and all of the SHs allies he's accumulated. At least, that's what makes the most sense to me.
But it would just be so cool haha and I hope shanks doesnt get beaten by Backbeard I really want to see Red hair's vs Straw hats

You're not thinking big enough. A "small" war like we had in Alabasta actually involves 5 parties. The SH, Alabasta Army, Rebels, Crocodile, and the Marines. Now if u want to start imagining the final war. Try World Government (plus Shichibukai), the Marines, Revolutionaries, Blackbeard, Strawhats (and all their former allies joining), plus the remaining Yonkous playing a part here somewhere

While I doubt it is going to happen, I wouldn't completely wave away the possibility that the Strawhats might fight Aokiji again. Stepping down from the Marines doesn't automatically mean he will never be an obstacle to the Strawhats in the future. I'm sure he will be involved or doing something important in a future arc(s), regardless if the Marines know about it or not, and if the Strawhats are interfering with his goals, then he will obviously do something about it.

Exactly. It makes Kuzan look like the overall more skilled fighter since he can fight for 10 days at a handicap while Sakazuki had the advantage and yet they both still came out with severe injuries. And that's not what Oda was trying to say. Their powers were just about equal but Sakazuki was able to edge out over his fellow Admiral.

I think Jinbe is simply referring to what happened at Impel Down. We know there is more to it than that, but as far as Jinbe is concerned, Luffy and Blackbeard knew each other at Impel Down and even exchanged blows, so it's important Luffy knows as much about Blackbeard as he can. If you want to extrapolate further, I'd probably focus on the bit from Whitebeard about how Blackbeard wasn't the one Roger was waiting for, and his implication that Luffy is.

That's what I was imagining, a loosening of restrictions and basically allowing the Marines to interfere with any government or otherwise action "for the greater good".
That can be part of it but it'd have to be a lot more than that for the Marines to become a more powerful force now that Kuzan is gone. But there are a lot of projects that they were working on that could make the Marines stronger. The entire structure of the Marines has changed and there are a lot of different possibilities as to what that would imply.

Interesting point, but it is hard to imagine that a moral change can replace the loss of an Admiral - mainly because the majority of the Marines are fodder to New World pirates. The only characters able to give them a good beating were the Shichibukai and the Vice Admirals - the old Pacifista units already struggled against them.
Or maybe I'm just underestimating the average elite marine soldier (Zoro gives them at least some credit).
Maybe the lower-ranking Marines have went through some sort of special training or experiment that allows them to awaken their Haki earlier. That way, Haki stops being something exclusive to the top guys.
