It has come to my attention that I've been demoted from Admin status after 8 years of serving on Arlong Park, the website (since it's creation at the hands of AfterShock and EvilGamerX, now known as JSack) and it's forums. True, as of late I've not done much contributing, so I'm fine with my demotion. However, it hurts just a little bit. Mostly because I couldn't leave with a blaze of glory, and most importantly, dignity. I was actually contemplating quitting my post soon and giving it up to someone else anyway, but I wanted to do it with a classy letter of resignation. This is as classy as it's going to get.

I want to say to the current mods and admins, I'm very proud of what you've turned this forum into. Chaos is at an all-time low, and you only have yourselves to thank for that. I couldn't have worked with (overstatement) a better group of people. The new generation is definitely a better one.

To all forum members: thanks for supporting us all these years. Especially to those who came to the website even before the forums were instituted. You helped AP become the premiere fansite for One Piece fans. Most importantly, you've helped to make One Piece in the US what it is today.

To all who read this and wonder: "Who the hell are you?" Well, you're too young.

I don't think I have anything else to say, but thanks. I'll still be poking around, don't worry.

To be totally honest, we had a bit of a PM debacle. PM's were written and sent several days ahead of time, but… well... they apparently never went through. Of course, we have to take the blame for that accident. And the entire staff apologizes profusely for that.

Dude is awesome. Everyone on the staff thinks so. We all wish he had more time to do stuff around here in order to remain on as an admin, but life can catch up to all of us.

Dude wasn't the most active of posters during my time here, but I always enjoyed reading what he had to say, whether it be a short soundbite or something longer. So as opposed to acting like we're burying him, I wish him the best in whatever he goes on to do, and I hope he still sticks around in whatever capacity works for him.

No matter do you know the man, it always makes you feel sad when an old veteran announces his retirement. A man who's found the resolve and reasons to move onwards is an admirable man. To me, The Dude was always one of the harshest, but also one of the best admins around here. Even a newcomer like me learned to respect your wits and your refreshingly unique style. AP wouldn't be what it is today without you.

When I arrived here the dude felt like this ultra fresh dude, who's presence alone was just nice to have around. As an admin he felt like an older brother who'd tease you around a bit, maybe smack you upside the head when you deserved it, but also sit down next to you to play a game and give you a friendly nudge when you do well.

I really respect and like this kind of Dude! And any different colour of his name won't change this.
Don't go thanking us, we gotta thank you! Whatever you do, stay as sharp as you are, Dude!

I remember back when I was just a mere lurker in late 2007, stumbling upon apforums. I recall enjoying the the diverse discussions and points of view. The Dude and other mods always made great and enjoyable post, and that made me eventually want to join the site. Dude, we don't know each other really well, but I've have always had a great amount of respect for you. Like Gold Roger creating the great pirate age, you and others helped create and nurture this amazing forum to greatness. No one can ever take that away from you. Thank you for all you've done and good luck. I hope this isn't goodbye and that we'll still you around the forums.
