Sigh, I might as well post my opinion about all of this. It's obvious the movie is canon. Now, the premise of the movie is the moon hurdling towards earth, blah blah blah. While this is happening, Hanabi Hyuuga is kidnapped(I'm assuming since she's the next clan head? whatever). So in my opinion, this movie is going to be tolerable, nothing more, nothing less. Kishi is going to close so many plot holes in a 2 hour movie, frankly speaking, he's just going to get more questions from failng to close it out properly. he's trying to address:
1. A love plot(as you all know, I made a bet with someone 7 years ago for naruto and hinata)
2. Tying up loose ends of all the characters left from the manga(even when the most relevant is Sai, Sakura, Naruto, Shikamaru, and Hinata)
3. And the ancestral history of Hamura, etc.
Now, it's painfully clear that this movie is going to earn a lot because it's the last of a 15-year-old manga. But will it be able to live up to the standards of us who's just trying to get it finished? Probably not, but were still going to watch it, aren't we?

While the first two can't be helped, this may be a proof that there's no prospect for Sakura since nobody cares about her anymore.

It'd be fun if the final movie ended up being the Tenchi Forever (Tenchi Muyo in Love 2 - Distant Memories) of the franchise.
For those that havbe no idea what that means… the final Tenchi movie was a radical departure from all the other entries in the franchise. It didn't have much action, aged the characters, changed the artstyle, and was much slower and more serious than the preceeding wacky tv series. Instead of the usual comedy-flavored action, the film is a downbeat, sexual melodrama that studies its characters quite intensely, shedding light on Katsuhito's past, the depth of Ryoko and Ayeka's feelings for Tenchi, and Tenchi's hidden desires, including him definitively picking a girl instead of leaving the harem open ended for fans to pick their favorite.
As a result, it was hated by most fans, but its my favorite outing of the entire franchise.
That's not what we're going to get, but it'd be fun. For the backlash if nothing else.

I just found out Naruto will actually end with chapter 700, which will be fully colored.
So, the fight is almost over, which means there's going to be a lot of talking in the next 2 chapters.

Yup… WSJ is released on 11/1... meaning Saturday and early spoiler. Wednesday is the most likely scenario

Ah you mean the double chapterNaruto is getting two chapters next week and will end on chapter 700. The first chapter will be the Lead Cover at the front of the magazine, and the final chapter will be in full colour.
Naruto is now the fourth series in Shonen Jump history to end on a Lead CP following in the footsteps of Ring ni Kakero -> Dragon Ball -> Slam Dunk

I don't either and thats such a damn shame because I remember thinking it had a lot of potential with Kabuto reviving so many people for some good face off's and we were so poorly disappointed with the delivery.
So long, drawn out and some really crap fight scenes too. I mean I forgot reading about Mifune Vs Hanzo until I saw it again in the anime and that was a half decent fight for once in my opinion at least.
It has to 100% be the one more villain fight after the next that drove it to tedious levels; I'm just glad we can finally see some form of ending in sight. I remember first catching Naruto on tv about 8 years ago and discovering the manga and I'm in shock I'm actually seeing a shonen manga series to the end. Dragon Ball began and finished before it even came over to UK shores so this is really exciting of an event for me.

Before the normal release day became Thursday, that would be the case, but now that the new day for releases is 1 day later, we've been getting Saturday jump chapters on Wednesdays.

Before the regular release became Thursday we would get early chapters Monday night / Tuesday morning, now it should be Tuesday night / Wednesday morning as opposed to the Wednesday night / Thursday morning we've become accustomed too the past couple months.

I know that it happens quite a lot in Weekly Shonen magazine, heck next week Nanatsu no taizai is getting two chapters, and Fairy tail is forever getting double chapters.

One Piece chapter 0 and the regular weekly chapter happened at the same time.
As did the Cross Epoch chapter and regular OP chapter.
I'm sure its happened for others as well but those I know off the top of my head. Generally it has to be a pretty special event just due to the production time needed.

I hope just for maximum suckage he pulls a Shaman King and just cuts away from the final conflict and has the last chapter be some bullshit where they walk around talking about what happened as if it was no big deal.

Ironically enough, Shaman King: Flowers is getting cut short as well. So if there is a part 3/sequel, lets hope that it meets the same fate (unlikely as that is).
