If the SH's obey the message, I doubt any of them will fight Hodi. I bet Neptune will be the one to fight Hodi and the SH's will fight the NF Pirates that came with Hodi.
What I'm really looking forward to is the meet up between Vander Decken and Luffy, that's going to be some real good times lol!

lol so not only did zoro and the others take out the guards and neptune but they also sent the three bothers away on a scavenger hunt, leaving little resistance. I'm not sure what Zoro and the others will do but I have a feeling that they will not fight because of what Fukaboshi told him. As for the other commanders I can see Sanji and chopper running into one of them. Caribou might even have an encounter with one of them as well, which should be interesting (unless he's hiding, which I'm sure he is-he pisses me off). Decken will run into Luffy, who I believe is still floating over the fishman district at a snails pace. Seeing as how Jinbei, robin, and Franky are all heading toward the forest sea they won't even encounter any of the New fishman pirates nor have any idea what's occurring since it's outside the area.

This was a fantastic chapter. I enjoyed is so much. Everything is looking just like old times. I like it a lot.

it is the first arc of the new world, so perhaps this one will be relativitly short compared to other arcs…..thats just a hunch though...I cannot wait for next week...oh man..finally fights!

I thought the battle against luffy Decken would take longer. Is now in doubt if they will even fight or not, but I'm still finding the fish a saga of men introductory saga where the enemies are not so strong as well.

I'm probably over thinking but what if VDD is far stronger then we think he is?
Let me explain my reasoning: Luffy can fight while underwater, as shown from his "taming" of Susume but his power is severely drained (pic #1) and VDD has been underwater when throwing his "objects of affection" @ Shirahoshi (pic #2) which means his power must also be severely drained and it was Luffy himself who said "What was that 'axe' about huh?! What super strong guy threw that thing up here?" (pic #3).
Chopper said about Luffy "When i think about it … sometimes it's as if Luffy knows whom he should fight ... from the very beginning" (pic #4). What i'm trying to get across is that, from the axe alone, Luffy was able to know that the "axe thrower" VDD is a super strong guy: possibly stronger then heavily steroid Hodi.

I agree, it added to the internal war caused by revolutionaries (and Hodi koza) and straw hats being persecuted in the beginning.

It seems that Luffy's challenge in this arc will be dealing with destroying FI, as well as helping Robin search for the Poneglyph directly/indirectly.

Like Oda didn't bother repeating old info and made it seem like merfolk and fishppl are more united in their differences with what Den-san said. Definitely leaves the door open for ppl to get around and never know if the kid is really theirs though.
VDD really is a intense stalker. Not sure why Oda's pushing his obsession like,dude makes things uncomfortable with his psychosis.
He's pushing Decken's obssesion for us to root for the pervert to get destroyed 
I'm really liking Neptunes thinking being like Luffy's though, it'd be funny if they kept this up some how.
I think my favorite moment of this current chapter is that panel of the Sea Forest where we find out that it's a graveyard for ships, but a beautiful one at that, full of spreading coral, light, and frolicking whales. I almost half-expected to find Merry there, since it's made to seem so idyllic and heaven-like. Glad to see also that Franky was indeed looking for Sunny – not just looking for Tom's relatives -- and it seems we were on target in guessing that Den would know how to coat a ship. I also like how he knew it was Adam wood before being told -- shows that he's very attuned to his building materials.
Since Oda makes a point of calling Den a "researcher" as well as a "carpenter", my guess is that he'll have some valuable information for Robin as well, and that with what they both know, they'll be able to locate the poneglyph.
I really really like Oda's way of thinking here. Racism doesn't exist amongst fishmen / mermen before it was brought to them by humans.
I like that too. It also makes it more understandable as to why humans would be so hated – not just because they introduced slavery, but also because they introduced new ways of thinking and discriminating, that in some ways are more insidious than slavery, if only because discrimination is usually harder to erase than auction houses are.
And if all goes well, then humans (Luffy and Co) will be the ones to reverse that mindset too, and to make it easier for fishmen an mermen to live together peacefully.
Is that color-spread pic with the parrots, at the end of the chapter new?…..If yes, then why does Franky look like the old normal Franky in that pic?
Looking at that Colorspread again makes me wonder if this was Oda's way of teasing us about what he was intending to do with Zoro's eye … it just seems a little bit too coincidental not to be a joke of Oda's. [And just to make myself absolutely clear: I [B]do not think a Macaw gave Zoro his scar – or that this image had, or will have, any impact on the plot of One Piece.]

I hope Oda doesn't handicap Zoro with this guys poison sword. I am tired Zoro not being able to go 100% in his battles.
Zoro is currently mowing everything down that's standing in front of him – even some things that probably don't deserve to be mowed down -- and he isn't showing any signs of stopping, even though he's just been called a "born killer" and two of his crewmates are assuming near-fetal postures in reaction to his antics.
Marimo clearly needs a "time out" -- and Hyouzo is pretty much the only one who seems capable of delivering it quickly at this point.
I guess this means Oda's be thorough so we can expect Shushu/Boodle and Gaimon before we get to Kaya.
Looking forward to finally seeing Johnny and Yosaku too – but that will be after Kaya and the kids.
Would be great if Nami got a chance to fight Hodi -- and in order for that to happen, someone's got to take Zoro out of the picture for a while ... so ...

I'm still a bit torn about this arc. It's way too chaotic and fast paced, and you don't really get the time to take anything in. Fishman Island's geography is still confusing me, the amount of characters is steadily growing without real connections in-between and the red line is almost non-existent. The hostility towards the Strawhats felt forced from the beginning (fortune telling, really?) and most stuff is just… happening. Did Luffy's arrival in someway trigger Hodi's attack, because the timing felt rather convenient...
I don't know, really. I find myself looking back at other arcs, where Oda was still taking good time to build the set-up and have everything come together logically. Look at Alabasta and Water 7 (especially Water 7) to see what I mean...
Maybe Oda's got some climatic idea for how to wrap things together, but for now, Fishman island doesn't manage to capture me at all. I'm hardly even excited for the weekly chapters anymore...

While you may very well be on to something - the way Luffy struggled to stop the axe, despite being in a disadvantageous position, could certainly be seen as indicative that he would have some legit difficulty in an actual fight against Decken - I'd just like to point out that that translation might not be correct. Cnet puts it like this:
"So… what was that axe that flew in here just now?! What kind of crazy guy threw that thing, and from where?!"
I think Jibei should fight Hodi, seeing as how Luffy's already got Decken, zoro usually fights the swordsman, and anyone else fighting one of the main villains would be too anti-climactic and because we can't underestimate Hodi by matching him up with anyone else except Jinbei or Luffy.
I'd like Jimbei vs. Hodi as well. If he's not going to join the crew, this arc is undoubtedly the perfect opportunity to showcase his fighting underwater, which I'm sure I'm not alone in dying to see… and if he is to join, he'll likely get a fight this arc anyway.
