It has basically always been a communal religion, the religion of a specific cultural group of people.
So as a result there is the Jewish religion, and there is being culturally/ethnically Jewish. You can of course be born and raised in Jewish culture while also not being religious, be an atheist even. Presto, you would be a secular Jew.

So having his DF awakened didn't really help Dofla against G4 Luffy, but I also wonder why he waited to the very end to actually make use of his awakened powers. Is there a drawback to it as well? The finisher "King-Kong-Gun" wasn't the most creative move, but certainly the most impressive in terms of power that we've seen so far - cracked the entire island open like the colosseum ring earlier.

I hope to see some developments across the new world and shocked faces at Marine HQ after the defeat of Dofla, it should be good to get away from the strawhats for a while imho.
