Which Strawhats new look looks the best?

Well, I like all the new designs, but I'm also kind of upset about how everyone has changed. The characters I grew up with all look different now. :sad: BUT ANWAY! I still love all the new designs, though!

Pros: Luffy is mostly the same, which is good.
Zolo looks way more badass.
Nami's longer hair (by me) is more preferred.
Usopp's more masculine, which he needed.
Sanji looks more or less the same, good to see his other eye.
CHopper is mostly the same, I like his new hat.
Robin is much more sexy (to me) now. :wub:
Franky looks like a FREAKING TANK!
Brook is like a rock star now. Win!

Cons: Zolo seems to be missing an arm, that's not cool.
I think Nami's old hair was more unique.
Usopp may not be the coward he was, so he could be a totally new Usopp.
Sanji's left eye was really anti-climactic.
Franky's hair is gone! Noooooo!!!!

Zoro. He looks as bad ass as it gets. Not to mention he kinda reminds me of Shanks now.

Franky has literally transcended into Frank the Tank - Old school homage. The guy looks like he's just about ready to tear up a new hole in just about anyone.

Nami looks VERY similar to the one in Strong world. Epic tits, nice hair, and far more mature. FAP worthy.

Robin's change in appearance was probably the most unanticipated. She looks amazing - oh those curves. Sanji might start FAPing over her more than Nami from now on.

Sanji has a brand new moustache, and a whole lot of FAPing to do.

Luffy - as far as I can tell - has gotten a new scar, I hope he's gotten a little bit taller as well. But other than that it's the same old Luffy. To be honest I thought Oda would be much more daring with his new design. Anyhow, he's still the same old Monkey D. Luffy that we've all grown to love.

Brook - and I NEVER, NEVER thought I'd say this - looks as good as an Afro skeleton can get. Still don't like him though.

Usopp seems to have managed to retain his charm while also growing a great deal not to mention a whole a new arsenal of ammunition.

To be honest i prerfered Franky's original design. I'm just not that big a fan of the buzz cut because i loved his original hair so much. The robot hands i can get over as long as he can still do his SUPER pose.

But for me Sanji is my favourite because it's just a few subtle changes that culminate to make one hell of a sexy beast. Robin comes in a very close second with Ussop coming in third.

Maybe he can use more drinks that cola too fuel himself. Cola makes his hair look normal, beer makes a mohawk, tea makes that lovely hair we all know =P
And maybe using seawater makes him like seastone, he probably knows more about seastone and devil fruits since he's been on Vegapunk's lab.

Personally, I absolutely adore all the looks of the Straw-Hats. Since this thread pertains to which look we favor the most, I decided on Zoros transformation. The scar is integral to his look but I pray he hasn't lost an eye while training with Mihawk. I'm not convinced he could become the best swordsman without depth perception.

Okay, I dunno what's your problem, but yes, I grew up with One Piece. I started reading it when it was first released in English when I was in 5th grade. At first, the manga called him Zoro, and then it switched to Zolo around volume 3, and Zolo has just always been the way I learned it. It's not wrong, in Japanese it's ゾロ, and because of language differences, it's a cross between an R and an L. Look, there is nothing wrong with calling him Zolo is my point. It's just the way I learned his name, and has nothing to do with how long I've read the manga.

Also, Since I don't really know how to easily quote more than one person per quote, I'll just reply to the others that said something about him still having his arm, yes, you are completely correct, I didn't notice that until someone pointed it out in another topic. Thank Oda.

Usopp's change was SO MUCH for the better, I love his new look! So he gets my vote.

Thinking Franky's hair is just a military cut when he goes into battle mode using something other than cola. He'll retain his older look when using Cola most of the time. Seriously a hulk clone walking around is too much of a change. Especially for a character who has only been around for really two arcs( Enies Lobby&TB).

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I remembered that the Japanese romanization is Zoro after I made my post, and I didn't feel like editing it. XD Either way, I just learned it as Zolo, and it's a bad habit of mine to call him Zolo that I'm trying to fix. Anywho, regardless of what I call him, that doesn't really have anything to do with how long I've been reading the manga, and that was my whole point. =P

Those big arms just being accessories is a much welcome idea. I liked when he looked more…human. With human hands and arms least.

I'll copy/paste my thoughts from the spoiler thread.

My thoughts on the designs, for shits and giggles:

Luffy: I dig the new pirate shirt, but I love the scar even more. Even if Luffy's design hasn't changed drastically, that scar will serve as a reminder of his suffering for every one of us and is a blatant mark of his change.

Zoro: He really has the least noticeable differences, in my mind. I do enjoy how the eye scar emulates Rayleigh, though.

Nami: Big change with the hair design and I enjoy how much she's changed. I liked her previous design, too, but Oda did a great job of making her seem more mature in more ways than her meat pouches.

Usopp: I am in love with his new design. Completely fucking manly with enough Shaggy in him to keep him interesting. That hat seems befitting the sniper theme, as well. Also loving the pop green thing. It's about time he got some incredibly powerful attacks.

Sanji: Looks like Oda's bringing out Sanji's inner "French" and I'm loving it. Did I mention that I love these designs? I really do. The hair shift is pretty hilarious, considering the hype around that side of his face.

Chopper: Nothing new, really, but how can there be? I didn't expect him to change too much, though the hat cover is a nice addition and I think it fits his young adventurer style (considering he still is the youngest and has just now reached Luffy's age.

Robin: Once again, I am loving the maturity in her design. It reminds me of a cross between Vivi, Hancock and Hina, which looks really great for her. I also enjoy her new clothing style, more distinct, all purpose and further incorporating flowers into her design.

Franky: At first, I was disappointed at the loss of his Blue Raspberry Ace Ventura crop, but the more I look at him, the more I love him. He's become a robotic behemoth and that makes him look more ridiculous before, in an awesome way. Like some sort of giant robot gorilla (just as they mistook him for in Baltimore).

Brook: Soul King Brook ain't nothin to fuck with! I am seriously loving how Oda's gone all Bootsy Collins with him. He's Maggot Brain Brook (though it's only maggots buy now. Yohoho, skull joke!). I also love the Soul King title, given his experiences (being nothing but a soul for a year, being an animated skeleton and having been mistaken for Satan).

Usopp's new design wins for me, like it apparently does for everyone else.

Robin wins for me. It's simple and believable while making her look a lot different than she did before. I also feel it suits her better, especially with the sunglasses. Luffy is 2nd on the condition that the sash is a mainstay. The emotion behind the scar will be there for the rest of the story, and I love meaningful adjustments. If the sash is temporary, then I probably like Usopp a little bit better.

I have a feeling I'll love Franky eventually, but I haven't gotten over the loss of his hair yet.

Hmm,so hard to choose just one,my favorite changes were definitely Robin's and Luffy's. Brook's,Nami's,and Zoro's were great too,Sanji's was ok,but Chopper's and Franky's are just plain terrible.
