I'm betting that Brook ends up having some weird interaction with Big Mom's DF at some point in this arch and ends up becoming a big if not central focus for her attention. There's just no way that the Soul King goes this whole chapter without creating some kind of impression on the Soul Queen (Big Mom).

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
So with Franky going with team ken to wano i'm sure they are going to take the heart pirates sub so hopefully we get some kind of explanation on how this came into their possession maybe getting a little more info on VP in the process. That sub seems like the most technically advanced ship that we've seen so far and when we were first introduced to it, I like many others came to the conclusion that Law being a "dr." must mean he is super intelligent and invented it himself but given what we've learned about his past and how it seems like his doctor title comes more from his DF ability rather than his raw intelligence I'm thinking they came into the subs possession through other means. Hopefully this could mean more upgrades to Sunny specifically to the shark sub.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
So I'm hoping Oda throws us a curve ball with the whole tea party and has luffy and big mom go at it in a eating contest winner takes sanji and fishman island. Luffy wins with the rubber stomach and big mom is slightly impressed and after she finds out he's planning on heading to wano to take out the shogun she just lets him go so she can focus on other issues like black beard, kiado, shanks, the marines, revolutionaries, supernovas, and maybe mihawk just roaming around the NW wrecking shit just for good measure. I mean theres a lot going on in the NW that we've just gotten glimpses of like BB finding the revos, when we were first introduced to big mom we find out that kidd has taken out two of their ships and they could use the gold, we know akinu is roaming around handing out justice, and god knows what shanks is doing but i bet its not good for anyone with an agenda. I wouldn't at all be surprised if oda wraps up this big mom meet up without any confrontation and just uses it to shed light on the constant struggle between powers in the new world.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
I bet after the Tea Party Arc, Pekoms and Bepo become the new dukes of the Mink tribe . Oda uses some clever writing to get out of having big mom go after the mink tribe for Pekoms defect, something like the elephant walks into the calm belt every other year and so is unaccessible on those off years.

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
I really like the idea of Jinbe on life guard duty. I mean half the SH's are DF users so it would make sense that the crew should have someone around to get them out of the water fast and back into the fight.

RE: Chapter 792: Kneeling Down
I don't think Sabo will need to save the day for the SH's to leave the island. They just have to leave the island at the same time. I mean Fuji has to ensure that all the dolfa family is rounded up even the henchmen and transported to ID first and foremost, Second on his list is to treat the injured civilians and make sure they have basic needs like shelter food and water, Third would definitely be finding the whereabouts of the Revolutionary armies #2 and a high ranking member of BB's crew, Fourth on the list would then probably be Luffy the SH's and Law and then all the other remaining pirates. All this and he hasn't even found out about Big Mom just off the coast so my guess is it wont be to hard for them to leave.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
So I can't read the raw because I don't know Japanese but if anyone can answer this,is it clear through the dialog that Dolfa was saying he turned those buildings into string through his awakening? I'm unclear on how exactly Dolfa's DF works and I had just assumed he created those buildings before hand out of string and was using the "awakening" to control a large amount of strings as a trump card for the fight. I also think it would be too early to assume that an "awakening" DF would be able to change/effect everything in the surrounding environment and that this effect might be unique to Dolfa's DF if his powers already included the ability to change objects into string as this would just be his DF operating as usual just at a huge OP scale. If every DF can undergo an "awakening" that can change their surrounding environment i feel like it would just be turning every fruit into a Logia, and making the potential of some logia's like Kizaru's just ridiculous. I hope this new awakening just translates into a better DF mastery like luffy turning his punches mid flight or law being able to make his "room" bigger or even just being able to adjust its shape/AoE from a perfect sphere into any shape he wants while keeping the same volume to catch enemies at a further distance.

RE: Love and Loathe: Daily One Piece Character Analysis
No, throwing in a million billion elements into every arc is not a reason to neglect the core parts. In the first half of the Grand Line, almost every arc had some nice moments from a bunch of different Strawhats and even a brief arc could give the spotlight to a couple of characters for some nice moments. Now, we've had two complete LONG arcs in the New World and frankly, in terms of nice character moments and fights, everything's been kind of half-baked.
Look at Usopp, for example, getting nice little (or longer) spotlighted moments in Little Garden, Drum, Alabasta, Skypiea, every second of Water 7, Thriller Bark … in two long New World arcs, he's got one okay-but-shoddily-highlighted speech.
Nami in Whiskey Peaks (kind of), Drum, Alabasta, Jaya, Skypiea, Water 7, Sabaody ... post-timeskip she's had ... what? One sort of half-thing on Punk hazard? Not even the token Fishman Island 'fight'??
Luffy, Zoro and Sanji have managed to hang on to the spotlight a good deal post-timeskip, but it feels like the others are having there tiem cut for the sake of temporary characters or just for the sake of pace, and it's hurting the lasting impact. Probably just for pace, as side characters feel like they're getting a raw deal as well (see Smoker and Tashigi). Maybe it's not as clear with Franky because he wasn't even around for that long before Sabaody, but the others have gone from consistently getting good moments and sometimes good fights to basically getting nothing all the time.
FI and PH together are 9 volumes in, leaving out the bit on Sabaody. That's a lot of material ...
I can see where your coming from but I would have to disagree that the other SH's outside of the monster trio aren't getting that much attention. I would argue that they have, just that this attention hasn't been focused into "fighting scenes". I would agree that they don't get nearly that much attention when all out brawls are introduced (which is a big part of one piece) but characters like Nami, Robin, and chopper just aren't fighters and they shouldn't get as much attention for fight scenes as other members of the SH's. Now i know they do have the ability to fight and can do so very well but thats not where their strengths are and I think to continually put focus on them during fights would be conveying a lack of importance for their positions in the crew. Nami for example is a navigator. She is very intelligent and good with strategy so her scenes should focus on her benefiting the crew through these strengths just as Zoro's scenes should focus on his brute strength because thats the main attribute he brings to the table. We still have seen very little of the NW and there will likely be tons of moments where chopper's medicine, nami's navigation, and robins knowledge will become key for the SH's to achieve success, but as of the last few arch's the general theme has been "The SH's are back!" and this theme requires an extreme statement of raw power to put them on the map so to speak which I believe should only be done by the "fighters" of the crew. If Oda tries to hard to make everyone in the SH's a behemoth of force he's going to minimize the significance of the skills the weaker characters bring to the table.

Am I the only one who wants Kyros to get the fruit and become a SH for the sheer awesomeness of having both a logia and someone with a peg leg

RE: Chapter 737: "The Executive Tower"
Your missing the point here, only logia's shape shift with their clothes; Magallen nor mr3 has never produced a substance that has the same pattern as their clothe, their substance is always pure but Trebol substance is missed with his cloak. Only logia's has been show able to deform and reform with their dress doing the same. Resin is a natural sticky stuff, I already said this before.
how are you so sure trebol's clothe has a design? there's the possibility that the pattern on his cloak is just his sticky substance or maybe his clothes are a product of the sticky substance itself
