Luffy lost everything: his crew, his brother, even his hat. Now it's time for the crew to rebuild itself and get over it. Enough darkness for now.
i personally would enjoy to have at the end of this WAR! two hardcore battles which will be shown in there whole awesomeness..
seeing croc go down with a flashback could give us readers a lot (but i don`t think that marco also goes down in this WAR!)
and sengoku has to go down vs BB when BB rly decided to go against him..and everything points towards that.
BB fighting sengoku could be the final act in which the marines lose their leader(BB losing…never!) and so also sengoku will be done(the old age).
so akainu could get the new position as fleet admiral and BB shaked the world once more..and sengoku killed would be the in BB favour.

I thought I cleared it up pretty good earlier. Take sports. Not sure what sports you like or team you like. But the overall theme of sports is to win the championship, world series, superbowl, whatever it is. All the teams are your enemies in that quest to the championship or goal. especially your most hated rival such as packers/vikings, or red sox/yankees.
But if a situation occurs where in order for say Vikings to reach the playoffs, the packers need to win their last game. You can bet that vikigns and their fans will be cheering for the packers.
All pirates are enemies in the quest for One Piece, but right now the bastard WG is teh common enemy and ca't let them get their victory or else they don't make the playoffs. They all need teh WG to lose. So all pirates are cheering for WB right now, and since law and Croc are there and able to help WB's team they are.
Now once this over now Law/Croc/Luffy are all in the playoffs and they are enemies again. But right now the thinking is if Luffy doesn't make the playoffs no one does.
In fact, that's my main dislike of this arc so far. There are so many dangling plot threads and mysteries left unsolved, like Magellan's fate or the uses of haki throughout this fight. At this point however, they aren't enough to ruin the arc.
Magellan's fate will probably be wrapped up in the downtime in between the end of this arc and the next. He isn't showing up and there's no reason to mention him again.
I'm not even aware of these other dangling plot threads. Oda will either focus on the war while Law escapes with Luffy or he'll focus on the escape and we'll be told about the ppl left behind still fighting in the war.

i totally agree with hinscher.
the goal of the marines and WG was to kill ace and whitebeard. during the war they realised what kind of enemy luffy could be in the future so they set themself another goal - kill luffy. now that ace and whitebeard are dead the only goal left which the WG didn't achieve yet is luffy's death. so it's only natural that all the pirates try to prevent a total victory for the WG.

People wanted to know what happens to the Whitebeard Pirates, I wouldn't be surprised if Akainu ends up killing a few of them.
I cannot wait to see the Blackbeard Pirates counterattack on Sengoku. Even though Blackbeard and company were shaken up by Sengoku's attack, Blackbeard responded by saying he was going to still destroy Marineford and for Sengoku to try and stop him.
Like the Buggy Pirates said, I wonder when this war is going to end?
What event makes the Blackbeard Pirates and the Alliance retreat into the New World?

Anyway, the chapter was great. Sengoku and BB fighting, Buggy being simply awesome and showing once again why he's one my favorite characters, Akainu seriously fisting people… Even I still pretty much hate him I got to give him credit for taking his job so seriously, but I do think it's ridiculous that he's focusing on bringing down one kid instead of helping Sengoku with BB and his crew. And I think I'm starting to love Croc :wub:
I really hope that war will soon be over, but before that I'd like to know what the hell Kizaru and Hancock have been doing the last few chapters since there has been no sign of them.

However…this is the second time Sengoku's used his ability. Why is it still in shadows? There's no way shadows would naturally cover his body like that...so that's a little stupid. I mean, if Oda wants to keep this form a secret, then this shadowed form is still showing us most of it already. It's not like those other times Oda used it (like with Kizaru's face that one time), so I don't get it's purpose. It's really forced.
well i'm on opposite end of that. I like the mystery of what blackbeard became shichi for, why he went to impel down, and now how he escaped, how he has two fruits, how does haki work and so on.
i mean if we followed and learned everythign as it happened like in naruto (sasuke is our blackbeard) the rival. I feel it would lose its spark. We would know too much and not have this mystery's to talk about, to guess, and then later to be surprised at. I mean look at 6th sense. A great movie, but imagine if you knew right away that mr. bruce was dead the whole time. The kid knew, he could have easily told us right away.
And blackbeard coudl easily have told us his master plan way back, could have told us how he can absorb two or more fruits. Each introduction box for a character could have said their fruit power and bounty. Rayleigh could have explained intro to Haki back then. Or hell even a big bomb of saying the void history and where and what one piece is. Now how woudl of you have liked that. I personally like all the mysteries. Without them there woudl be nothing to speculate about.

Well i think its that Aikanu is under the belief that Luffy will become lets say the next Hitler

Took forever to read, but still glad I did.
So my initial reactions to the spoiler were negative, mainly because I'm not a Law fan. While he's an okay character, the way everyone was jumping on his bandwagon over a year ago possibly turned me off on his character. And I thought that reinserting him into the story was too soon.
After reading the chapter, it was handled really well. Law's reappearance was done properly. Rest of the chapter was great. Love what Sengoku and Akainu are done (actually holding their own against pirates like they should). Great chapter this week.
If the Marines only goal now is to kill Luffy, then I think this would be a huge failure in leadership on Sengoku's part.
Blackbeard is the bigger threat and every able bodied Marine, including the Admirals should be focusing on wiping out Blackbeard and his crew.
However, at this point Sengoku doesn't seem to need any help but like I said in the spoiler thread, Blackbeard hasn't had a chance to counterattack.
If Oda is consistent with Blackbeard's power, Sengoku should be susceptible to Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi powers.
Such an epic chapter.
Law and Crocodile are badass. Still awesomeness from Akainu. The Whitebeard Pirates and Akainu page was awesome.
The big thing is that Sengoku actually kicks ass.

Yes Sengoku. You finally got off your ass and did something successfully. Prerfably, I'd like to see this fight end in a tie. I don't think Akainu would be a good enough replacement for Fleet Admiral. He's too hot headed, and rather than fearing him, every pirate now basically wants to kill him. Having a leader who's hated by everyone isn't a smart idea.
Croc showing up was a nice touch.Sand going through ice makes sense, but sand going through magma… uh... not so much. Oh well, Akainu's gay so w/e.
Law came out of no where. Hoesntly, when i saw that Jolly Roger, I thought straw hats -> fishmen -> the doctor who's with Laboon. Then I saw Law, and , wow. I'm guessing the other supernovas might be around. I don't think Law is going to betray Luffy, since yesterday's enemy is tomorrow's ally. Plus, Luffy was WB's legacy, and all the supernova's had a great deal of respect for WB.
Hopefully the arc ends in the next chapter, or the one after that. I'm kinda tired of all the fighting. Luffy already has a means of escape, so there's no real reason to continue. Truthfully, we don't even have to see how the 2 fights conclude, since Oda could just show it in dialogue and flashbacks.
RIP Strawhat. Maybe Marco will pick it up for Luffy, or someone will give Luffy Ace's hat.
Law is pretty damn interesting he is risking his life to save Luffy and Jimbei.
With Law jumping into the fray, I can't help but hope Urouge-san will show up next chapter. While this chapter gives off an air of finality for Luffy, Blackbeard and the Commanders have some development in them yet. It's hard to tell; on one hand, I could see this being the last or second to last of the war, with Oda moving matters elsewhere like he did with Banaro island and Shanks vs. Whitebeard. On the other hand, I can see him keeping this up for a little while longer due to the impact it will have on the story. I figure Blackbeard's escape would need to be covered eventually, so better here and now than later, but it seems like Oda is pressing for the reunion of the crew.
Oda provides another epic chapter.. despite the small gripe of Croc turning Vegeta, ah well. Still goodies allround, finally some Sengoku action! And even Buggy was likeable again this chapter.
Have to note, Wolf is strangely missing. And so is Kizaru for that matter. Not sure what Kizaru could be up to but this makes me think Wolf is going to provide the means of escape for the BBs.
My biggest question is whether or not that submarine can get to FI. If it can, the what did Law want on SA. Perhaps he was only their for a break.
Law may be working for someone else, maybe he is a revolutionary, or he knows well the fishmen (because of the submarine he doesn't need to coat his boat to go to Fishman Island), or he is with Vegapunk, … He's a doctor, he knows a lot about a lot (remember, he knew Jean Bart), etc. May not be a simple pirate.
So if Sengoku is taking care of BB, where is Garp ???
A submarine can't necessarily go to Fishman Island without being coated. Franky's couldn't.
That said, I'm on the boat for Urouge-san showing up next chapter.

I don't think that sub is a full ship. It's probably just big enough to hold some of the crew, I guess a mini-sub.

There is no way shadows covered Roger's eyes, but they did until Oda was ready to reveal his face.

Hancock is still MIA as well. Particularly odd since last chapter there was a page dedicated to reaction shots from all the Warlords except her. I'm not sure what Oda has planned, but Luffy's hat comes to mind when I think of Hancock, and Voltron Transformers escape ship comes to mind when I think of San Juan Wolf. Kizaru is up in the air (metaphorically), as Akainu and Aokiji both had specific roles in the past few chapters. Granted, Kizaru has had his time to shine, but him being left out lately seems intentional.
