Not necessarily. Remember, the 7 Warlords are simply Pirates when you get down to it. They've just made a deal with the Government to give them some money in return for not being wanted anymore. Yes, in instances like the war they were called in to help out in a direct conflict, however even during the war they didn't all fight to there full. The only time we saw Mihawk put any real effort was for his own personal reason, trying to strike down Whitebeard only to be blocked by Jozu, and then to fight Vista. Yes, he tried to fight Luffy however he clearly did not go after him for a kill like the Marines were.
We saw Donflamingo cut Oar's leg pretty easily, and later he cut Crocodile's head. What was stopping him from doing this on other Whitebeard Pirates? Nothing, but he obviously thought of the war as a game and had fun manipulating people with his power to fight others instead of simply slicing them up.
Just because they have strength and are allied with the Government doesn't mean they will be their arms. That being said Mihawk and Shanks are vaguely on the same level, most likely, and the balance isn't thrown off as Mihawk has no reason to fight Shanks.

I think the speculations of the mighty legends' power are impossible. Just an imaginary war, and the winner is base on individual impression/expectation/imaginations of the character.

Somehow everytime i buy and re-read the latest vol of one piece again.. I can't help but feel that the whole story is already a tale that is being narrated by a person or from a book.. Logue Town, Skypiea, Ace's fight, Impel Down.. The list goes on..
But what I wanna say is that IF a character were to lose, be it bad condition, bad luck, bad timing, bad whateva, it is the truth and a form of fate..

The spelling of Luffy is significant because of two reasons
Shiryuu/Shilliew doesn't not matter nearly as much because at this point in the story he is nothing more than a side character.

Well, Big Mam for example. I've read some theories about her being connected to CC's current actions (using "candy" to drug the kids etc) in the latest chapter thread so we might talk about that.

I don't think there's a link. Big Mom likes sweets so she set up a candy factory on her turf so she can collect batches periodically. The candies in PH is because that's a pretty simple way to drug kids since they generally like candy. Not every candy in the new world is related to Big Mom. Judging by first impressions of her, she'll want to have all the candy to herself so her supplying CC with drug candies seems pretty improbable.

I agree, I think the Candy thing is more of a reference to Unit 731 which is what I think Punk Hazard is based off of:

Oda researches a lot in every topic he covers. For water 7 he researched Venice, he has studied naval and pirate lore, I'm pretty sure he has researched about drugs and goverment experimentation, racial issues and so on. Of course unless he points it out we can't be sure he has actually read anything about Unit 732, but I wouln't rule it out.
I think he is a person with a lot of culture and I don't think cultural stigma would prevent him for using certain references. Of course its just my opinion.

I meant literally but still figuratively the same scenario would not go down the way it did at Shaboady a second time. I think the SHs growth is based more on their ability to fight for each other and to give up their own dreams for their crew. But if they continue having to rely on their crew or friends being in trouble then eventually they will be wiped out by a force much stronger than themselves (which would of happened at SA). As for ES I know they aren't related to the drugs used by CC, my point was that there is almost ZERO possibility that CC and Big Mam's candy are interconnected much like there is no chance ES and CC's candy are connected.

Targeting Big Mom is starting to make a lot of sense. They slip some drugs/poison into her supply of candy for her tea-party, wait for it to take effect and then launch a full assault on her crew, which has all been gathered together, letting them wipe her out in a fell swoop with minimal risk. It would also give us a fight with a Yonkou that would be satisfying in it's conclusion while doing little to disrupt the 'power levels*' that the Emperors are all supposed to have.
Oh, and I just thought of a Fruit power for Big Mom... what if she's able to transform fat into muscle/power somehow? So she eats a lot of sweets in order to build up potential strength to unleash all at once when she needs to.
*I hate power levels. Oda hates power levels. Toriyama invented power levels and HE grew to hate them too. But it's an easy concept to grasp, even if it doesn't apply to fights in this series.

Kaido = sci-fi (robotics) + technology (I base this on the cyborg crew member we've seen, as well as the giant metal moving town/city we saw when Drake confronted said cyborg crew member).

Shanks and crew = older Strawhat Pirates
Blackbeard and crew = evil Strawhat Pirates

I'm thinking Big Mam may have a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit. A Mythical Hito Hito no Mi, model: Baba Yaga. If you don't know what a Baba Yaga is I'll give you a basic summary: A Baba Yaga is a witch, a witch that is known for eating. It would go well with the fairytale theme her revealed crew seemingly has.

I think this is all correct. It also makes me think there may be a confrontation between Kaido and Big Mom. Also, we could even say that Blackbeard embodies the "new". He's been around for a long time, and he was opposed to Bellamy's idea of a "new era where pirates don't dream", but he makes a big show of "ending Whitebeard's era" and "beginning a new era with his name on it". ALSO ALSO, Shanks was unwilling to eat a DF and he relies extensively on Haki, while Blackbeard relies extensively on TWO DFs, and hasn't displayed Haki as of yet. Red HAIR, BlackBEARD. Jeez, there are a lot of these.
I wonder about one thing, why did Jinbe and his crew decide to ally with Big Mom?
At first I thought it would be the obvious choice since she declared FI her territory, but at the end of the arc Jinbe says that it was merely a coincidence.
Now it makes sense that he wouldn't consider Blackbeard, which leaves Big Mom / Kaido / Shanks.

I had the theory that Big Mom had some sort of frog zoan. I know it sounds sort of weak but a few years back I was reading NATURE or one of those magazines like that and remember reading about a frog that had caustic saliva/stomach acids at above normal levels. It would be a pretty cool twist and could make for a really nice fight/innovative abilities.

Yes. But Shanks is like a Luffy (or should I say Luffy is like a Shanks): He's not obliged to help anyone, but more often than not he does.
Shanks and Luffy both seem to operate under the same moral code. That is if you've partied with a guy you are obliged to help him no matter what.
But no partybased friendship no help. So assuming that Shanks doesn't have any friendly ties with the fishmen there's really no incentive for him to help.
I'm guessing that Jinbei allied with Big Mom because she would be the easiest to appease.
Sending a supply of candy each month isn't that hard of a task, in return you get a large canopy of protection from one of the four emperors.
As stated before, Shanks doesn't really have any affiliation with the Fishmen (that we know of), so he has no reason to help them out. Plus, I dont really see what they could give him in return for his protection.
What do you guys think Oda's plans for Kaido are? He is the only major character named who hasn't made any actual appearance in the series (at least we've kinda seen Vegapunk's lower body). I'm guessing he gets his own arc or 2. I'm still wondering if he is a cyborg or not. I'm guessing he has some WG ties as Drake being a former high ranking marine wanted his attention (I'm speculating he has info about him that is harmful or helpful).
