Some say that Kuma is heading to Egghead Island.

I remember how the Straw Hats crews flew for 3 days after Kuma "saved" them...

Isn't the distance too far for Kuma to reach Egghead in time?
I do hope that the theory is real though... Just very unlikely...

Well if Luffy vs Kaido was Luffy's 101%, then in this currently battle it is at best 60%... Or so it seems..

Pulling up Gear 5 right away doesn't mean he is giving his all in the fight...
Luffy chose to throw Kizaru away instead of finding a way to give him damage...
And Kizaru seems to be keen on avoiding a deadlock fight with Luffy, focusing on his mission...

There is nothing on the line, Vegapunk isn't Luffy's nakama. Luffy is not doing a good job of protecting Vegapunk so far..

There is still a motivational void that is missing for Luffy. Wonder who can give it to him.

If their devil fruits are in fact awakened, why not use this advantages when fighting the strongest man in the world at that time? If you're going to be pulling out all the stops, seems to me that'd be the top moment to do so. Or did they (Akainu and Aokiji) suddenly, during their bout both awaken their fruits? They are most likely awakened users of their devil fruit before they become admirals.
Maybe there is a difference with 1v1 and large scale battle.

I would like to believe that a complete unleashing of their powers may harm their fellow marines and the HQ.
And so they fought with restraint to prevent friendly fire.

A 1v1 fight to the death allows them to fully unleash their powers without care about the repercussion or the destructive aftermath.

Magma is molten rock; which is hotter than the fire we use daily (magna can be up to 2400°C [around 4400°F])

HOWEVER if we go full science on their powers Akainu will never be Ace match.
This is because man-made flame can go as high as 6000°C
Our Earth's core temperature is about 6000°C and our Sun (a flaming ball) is around 15000000°C.

So flame actually wins lava.

Arlong Park was a big part of my youth, was introduced by a friend in school.
But JoJoHot was my main hangout before 2006 because I was more familiar with Chinese manga.

As a poor student, saving money to read manga was a real thing.
Each volume was a 2-3(sometimes even 4) months wait. But I had a shit load of manga to real.
Hoshin Engi, Yu-Gi-Oh, I”S, Love Hina, Hunter × Hunter, Shaman King, Hikaru no Go, The Prince of Tennis, NARUTO, BLEACH, Black Cat, M×0.
And many more. Just some that I can think right now.

Internet was slow before 2003 and it was only in 2003 when I got a laptop and use the internet in my school that got me into anime and manga online.
Online manga scanlation was a god save on my pocket money.
Sometimes I can spend all my lunch money reading manga.

All the manga in my country were published in mandarin during that time, but my non-chinese friend were also reading manga.
That was how I got to know that Arlong Park was one of the best place to get the latest update in English, sometime in 2005.

2006 was when I joined, because all the discussion was so tempting!
Had so many debates and fun here. One Piece is truly the best.

Cant believe its been 7 years since Naruto ended….. I'm feeling old.
I appreciate Naruto a lot more now than before, it's rivalry with one piece was fun, and part 1 has become very nostalgic.

Naruto was good until.. Erm maybe we should not go there..

I started One Piece before Naruto in 1998, but manga volume release was slow and One Piece was only a filler when I go to manga rental shops.
Naruto was all the rage between 2002 to 2006. The anime made it even more popular.

I only join Arlong Park in 2006 but was lurking in 2005.

Now there is the monthly Boruto.
Maybe One Piece can continue with a monthly edition after the ending?

Kingdom is based on the rich history of the Chinese Warring States period.
Just romanticizing a very brutal history.

Naruto author was doing what you call an asspull. The power kept grow bigger.
He may have an ending in mind, but he most likely fallen victim to over extending the story.
The connection with the beginning of the story is weak and not well planned out.

The "3 bigs" rivalry was the golden period for us.
One Piece also had crazy powerup but it was nothing when compared to Naruto and Bleach.
I guess the longevity of One Piece got to do with the insane Power Level is still hard countered by Sea, Sea-stone.

Until Haki. I guess Oda is planning for the End Game with Haki.

Fire force anime is really good.
Being a fan of the Soul Eater series I am not really surprised with the storyline in the manga and its development.

Being a fan of Wuxia and Xianxia novels, madness is a common term.
The drive and motivation of mankind leads to its own destruction?
It's a kind of madness once you understand the real world, hahaha because we are currently destroying earth.
Earning money growing our greed.

The author plays with alignment of good and evil, lawful and chaotic with the characters development.
The bad guys backstory are developed to show that they not that bad.
The good guys? Odd and lovable.

The religion theme borrows heavily from Catholicism and the infamous Aleph cult in Japan.
I think this explains a little for the weird chapter this week. Can't wait for more madness.

I think it's a gem. It's one of the few manga I follow regularly.
A few of the characters are disturbingly well developed.
