@Fire Fist:
Well, he's got a slave collar around his neck, but even then, I don't think that would stop the cute dramatic effect RIGHT HAND OF THE PIRATE KING end dramatic effect. I think he's just there because he's bored.
Congrats on the prediction FFA, that's always a good feeling. I disagree about Raleigh sticking around for the fun of it though. There are several good reasons he could want to not get his head blown off, you know.. besides the obvious. Even if he does survive the initial explosion, there is quite likely a very large bounty on his head from back in the day, and he would be wise to not attract attention towards his current digs with shakky.
My thinking is that he's just biding his time until he sees the opportunity to make a covert escape… but considering the amount of time he's been missing, he could have been biding for the last couple of years.
Edit: Gorlom has a point about the pointlessness of the bars though. Maybe they work like an electric fence for the collars?
@Gaiyae:
And is it me, or does Zoro seem to act a bit different to lately..?
Looks to me as he shows more of his caring side. Like he did with that injured man, last chapter.
Actually, I was wondering about that too. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time we've seen a definitive canon act of non-dream altruism by a strawhat. Before now, the strawhats have repaid their debts (dorry & broggy, little girl who fed zoro), fought for people's dreams (the dog, whale, chestnut head) and fought for their friends (arlong, CP9) but never simply went out of their way to do someone a favor.
Maybe Oda's just trying to emphasize how the Strawhats are different from the other supernovae, but I don't know if I like this new soft and fuzzy zoro.
