      @CCC:

      I never had a problem with GC, but yeah everyone loves the pointer Wii controls. Lock-on still snaps you onto the enemy, but then you have a limited degree of free-aim, which MP3 was basically built around (enemies/bosses with very small/specific weakpoints).

      Best QoL change, imo, was flicking wiimote to jump in morphball form. …Still worth mastering the tricky bomb jump timing on GC version, though, especially for all that amazing sequence-breaking (which you should absolutely try! It's even possible to get the plasma beam before Thardus!)

      Yeah, i saw some people do those crazy sequence breaks. looks like fun.
      But first i'm finishing the other 2 Prime games. Would be interesting to see how they stack up to the 1st game.

      At the moment most of time goes to Enter the Gungeon. Easy to get into, hard to master.
      Rogue-likes normally aren't my thing and honestly normally can't be bother to "Git Gud".
      But something about that game, keeps me coming back. Definitely recommended.

      @The:

      Now I have gotten all of the feats for all three of the shovel knight campaigns! Non of them were really that bad, with the only wall that I hit was at the very end doing the Specter Knight NG+ run. Having the depleting health bar wasn't a problem for the most part, with a few bosses taking a few tries, but Black Knight in the tower of fate and the Enchantress fight were brutal for me. Both together took me an hour to beat.

      Awesome game. After finishing the game as Specter Knight recently. I can honestly say this is probably my favorite 2d Platformer of all-time. So much fun!
      Can't wait for the Kings Knight DLC.

      After so many year i finally deceided to start up Metroid Prime again. Never got that far in the past. But now i sat down and completed it with all items.
      Both gameplay and graphics have aged quite well. Probably one of the best looking games of that generation.
      Controls (Gamecube version) haven't aged that well. My hand kept cramping up. Kept transforming into the morph ball will jumping.
      You also need to see an enemy before you lock unto them. Stay still, press the aim button,targer and select the correct weapon/visor - Feels like way more of a hassle then most modern games.
      Some bosses also had a bit of a "cheap" feel.. Especially the Rock golem.
      Still had alot of fun. And i'll probably dive into Prime 2 rather sooner than later.

      I heard the Wii version seems to have better controls. Can anyone confirm?

      Done with Ac Origins. Awesome game by the way.
      More rpg elements really fit the AC gameplay. Had lots of fun.

      Current finishing up Persona 5.
      Also amazing, game oozes style. Storywise not as good as 3 and 4.
      But gameplay-wise blows the other 2 out of the water.

      Also did some Firewathch. But it wasn't really for me.
      Not much of a walking simulator fan.
      I did hear great things about What remains of Edith Finch.
      Is that recommend for someone who generally doesn't like those (Walking sim) games?

      @NateRich:

      The game was a lot of fun and had a very doable platinum trophy. I remember it not being too monotonous.

      Yeah, kind of liked how they handled the platinum. Not many weird requirements and missable thing. Except the floating Discoball trophy.

      Also decided to take the plunge into AC - Origins. Mostly because i absolutely love the setting.

      Some impressions:
      I'm at around 4 hours in, and i'm liking it so far. Combat isn't perfect, but way more better the other AC games.
      The Dark Souls influence is clearly noticable. But it's not nearly as hard (playing on normal difficulty) and unfortunately not as polished.
      Still not bad perse. Exploration is fun, and there are plenty of interesting areas to explore.
      The Lack of an animus Database entries is a HUGE Omission. I want to read up on characters and locations, but unfortunatly none to be found in this game.
      Virtual tourism is a big part for me in these games.

      Got the platinum in Ratchet and Clank (ps4).
      It did feel kinda short and platforming isn't it strong point. And i was secretly hoping for a melee weapon.
      Humor didn't seem that strong in this one either.
      But still loads of fun to be had.

      Couldn't get into the Galaxy games for some reason. I have yet to beat the 2nd Galaxy game.
      Odyssey sure looks like alot of fun. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
      But my backlog is way to huge + no Switch (yet), must resist..

      Cleared Shantae - Half Genie Hero.
      Liked the graphical style. Gameplay does feel a bit dumbed down compared to the other Shantae games.

      @RuNa:

      I'm almost finished with A Hat in Time

      100% satisfied, glad I backed this game. I was concerned (before it came out) how fast Yooka-Laylee came out and that this game appeared much shorter.

      I'll let anyone know who is considering getting this game: It is much better than Yooka-Laylee. The scenarios are all very unique and, despite how they advertised it, it isn't really a collect-a-thon in the sense it was made out to be. This game is more akin to Sly Cooper and Super Mario Sunshine than the Rareware n64 games.

      I'm about to go to bed, so I won't really type more, but while I think Yooka-Laylee might only be fun to people nostalgically, I think that A Hat in Time is more fun and would be more enjoyable to people who did not play those N64 games.

      Yep, definitely going up my "to buy" list.

      Got some more time recently to finish up some games.

      Completed Castlevania - Lament of Innocence (ps2) - All items etc.
      Platforming isn't that good. Crappy ps2 camera. Decent combat. Amazing soundtrack, some great tunes in there.

      Completed Horizon - Zero Dawn (Platinum)
      Absolutely loved the combat in this one. Looks absolutely stunning, and i don't care for graphics normally.
      Storywise, heavy intrigued by the Lore. Can't wait to play the DLC and discover more about this world.
      Guerilla created a great base here. Hope they expand upon this by adding more weapons, improved melee and more rideable mounts. (Glinthawk please)

      Completed Zelda - BotW (All Memories, Armors, Upgrades, build a certain village etc.)
      I have stranged mixed feeling about this. It sure had it's amazing moments ..but it didn't blow me away like i'd expected.
      Loved climbing everything. Alot of great places to explore. So many way to interact with the world.
      But my main problem lies with the way this game rewards my explorations.
      Everything weapon you find seems less special because of the durability system. It seems pointless in way.
      Korok seeds become useless after a while, so don't they don't serve any real purpose anymore.
      The only thing left is the extra heart/stamina containers.
      I just wish there were more things to find. Like a cool gadget/Magic Spell/Ocarina Song or something, Like in the past Zelda games.
      Speaking of which, where did the awesome classic dungeons go?
      And what happened to the amazing Soundtrack those games used to have.
      Maybe my expectations were just to hight, with all the "Best Game of all Time" reactions i read on the internet
      Windwaker and Ocarina are probably still my favorite Zelda games.

    • RE: The PlayStation Thread

      @KaizokuFan22:

      tried the Citizens of Earth demo on PS4…its not a bad game..its quite fun for a RPG
      theres about 40 People to recruit in the full game..and there is quite a bit of real world references in the game, plus its turn based.

      I played and have almost beaten the complete game.. Not really worth it IMO.
      It tries to be a Suikoden/Earthbound hybrid, but seems to forget what makes those games awesome.
      It's also quite buggy. Had the game freeze and crash many times.
