ooh good one Mantisk =P
so you are saying that if luffy wore a green west instead of a red one he would be sitting down drinking tea all the time? (or whatever he did when he had the green colourtrap on)
howcome Miss goldenweeks thingy in the coverstory affected crocodile and mr1 when they couldnt even see the colours?
I cant wait to seee your explanation for that one. -
He can teleport people wherever he wants. Just by touching them. That's what my first thought was when reading the last chapter. Also, either he's abnormally fast and the previously role as a support character was taken away, or he can use this supposed ability on himself.
He's a giant or very close to it, so it was no surprise to see Nami so shocked when he suddenly appeared next to her. I'm loving the whole ominous serious out the ass look about him.

Maikeru22: im open to the possibility.
Sanji the cook:i think he was talking about you saying it was "warp warp fruit" instead of "teleportation teleportation fruit" (or whatever fruit gives teleportation powers.)
aproximetly everyone in the thread think/thought kuma had teleportation powers. and warp is to be fair really just another word for teleportation.
but anyway. to use the hide command/spoiler tag type
[hide] the text you want inside the tag[/hide] and it will show up as :

@Fire Fist:
Here's a theory for you guys:
Instead of normal teleportation, Kuma's book is actually an atlas. Notice that he holds onto it even when Perona disappears.
So here's the theory:
Kuma writes a place in the book he wants himself or the person he touches to appear. He then removes his right glove and touches the person, transferring them to that place in the book.
In Perona's case, she was warped to a dark castle. But in Kuma's own case, he warped himself to the top of a tall wall.
So here's the catch to his power: He can only teleport to a place he can write about in his book. Initially, he comes to Thriller Bark, but since he only heard about Thriller Bark in name, he can't teleport just anywhere, only to the outskirts. Now that he's there, he's asking people EXACTLY where Moria is, so he can teleport straight to him.
Hence, why there's a target on his coat.
Final analysis? He ate the Mato Mato no Mi (Target Target Fruit).
The only thing left to confirm that is to have someone tell us what word Kuma uses when he says "You're on Target".
So, in summary:
1. Targets a location by writing it in his book and thinking of it.
2. Glove comes off, touches person.
3. Person is warped to said location.Target Target Fruit.
As always, my friend, I am impressed by your analytical skills!
If it weren't for his saying "you're on target" and his jacket I would say that you're just full of shit, but now I'm thinking you've just connected the dots.

Another one that might be considered magic is Jango.
Yes he uses hypnosis, but he got his powers from eating the mushroom that grew on his chin, according to Oda.
-

I cant wait to seee your explanation for that one.Romance.
You don't have to take the color vortex literally.
-
ok but you dont deny that people can do theese miraculous things even though they arent supernatural?
so technically Kuma could have a miraculous "power" that isnt supernatural or DF related?
-

Not in this extent, no. But ask me again in a few weeks, when Kuma revealed the origin of his powers.
Oda does what he wants anyway. And I'm going to like it anyway.

Bringing this topic back up. There's so much more about the Shichibukai now. I'll admit that I acted on a whim when I said Mihawk and Doflamingo were my favorites.
*Read only if you've read up to chapter 474
! Bartholemew Bear has potential to becoming high on my list. I didn't think much of him before because he appeared for that short bit in that meeting in Mariejoa. I just hope we get more insight to his personality and character in the upcoming chapters, especially because of that interesting bit about him being the only one of the seven who actually obeys the World Government.
! Moria is my favorite so far, though. I like how much of a lazy douchebag he is, as well as his design.
! So, we just found out that Blackbeard has become Crocodile's replacement. We already knew how much of a threat he was before. Just imagine how dangerous he'll be under the World Government! Now, I wonder if Jinbei will be able to top all of that.
-
This is a difficult one to decide. I really liked Crocodile, I might say him. I have taken a big liking to Moria as well, along with Kuma. So I guess it goes
1: Croc
2: Moria
3: KumaI have a feeling that I'll like Jimbei when he finally appears.
-
From the ones we've seen:
-
Bartholomew Kuma (I'm a sucker for religious badasses)
-
Gecko Moria (No reason needed, I don't think)
-
Dracule Mihawk (I know, he isn't bursting with personality but I still like him)
-
Sir Crocodile (Again, his design is great, but personality-wise he's pretty much just a Bond villain. His voice actor in the anime was fucking awesome though)
-
Donquixote Doflamingo (Again, I love his design, but his personality kind of sucks)
(Crocodile is actually close with Doflamingo)
By the way, I'm probably predisposed to hating Jimbei and Fishman Island due to the insufferable amount of hype behind them both.
-
-
Crocodile is still my favorite. The pimp coat just sells me. And his mafioso like appearance and attitude. He's my fave One Piece character by far.
And of course (you know who) if you're up to the latest chaps. Just love the guy cuz he manages to be menacing and funny at the same time.
-
1. Moria
2. Kuma
3. Crocodile/MihawkCan't really rank Doflamingo as we know so little about him, but he has potential in my eyes. I'm not particularly looking forward to Jimbei, but I'm keeping an open mind.
-
Me, myself, and I
-
Mihawk and Crocodile.
-
Donquixote Doflamingo.
Or, the seventh one, Sogeking.
Former bounty: Exactly 1 bajillion

Sorry if this has been discussed before. I haven't read any of these pages. I'm too sleepy.
Well, we all know Oda likes to lead us into a false path in his stories. I believe he is leading us to believe Kuma's power is "Transporting/Transportation".My new, not thoroughly thought out, theory is that Kuma's power is "Granting" wishes. That is why he has to ask each person where they like to go. They answer, he grants.
That is why Moria doesn't answers. He knows his power. How does Kuma shows up, seemingly out-of-nowhere? Well, that's because he grants his own wishes. I don't know how this would be used in attacks, but if his opponent is the gullible Luffy, it should make for a interesting battle, don't you think? lol. -
1- Moira, he's the Generic lazy one who is just badass.
2- Kuma, he was going to be my favourite and was before he was even introduced into Thriller Bark but lately I just like Moira more….ANYWHO, Kuma he's just so badass once again, its as though if he finds someone a threat or something he can end the battle just by asking his one question.
3- Crocodile, his coat.....his attitude.
-
Yeah, that really is most likely. How often does Oda show us exactly how a DF works the very first time we see it? If something caught on fire it'd more likely be friction than flame, y'know?
I also thought it may grant wishes, coincidentally.
-
1.Doflamingo. Who doesn`t like stylish, badass pimps with flamingo coats and sunglasses?
2.Kuma. A big,bad,religious motherfucka!
3.Moria. I like his lazy, fatass attitude.
-
Freagin' Moria :D
He ownz~
-
cool, cool. Great minds think alike, eh Buccaneer? lol
-
I like dracule hawkeye mihawk the best because I certainly like swordsmen and I think he is the only descent and honorable man amongst them. Also one of the strongest
-
I think all people here missed reading a part of the chapter.
Moria is not afraid at all about Bartolomew Kuma. He says that he knows his strength and his abilities. So lets recapture.
If he is teleporting people around, and can teleport himself around, then why is Moria not afraid? I think, Kumas abilities are different. Before he "attacked" Perona, he opened his book. I believe him being a kind of spell user, who's cursing his enemies. And all people who are affected by his spell, are also targets for his "attacks". Maybe thats why, he suddenly appeared next to nami. She was affected as well, but did not noticed.
I did not figured out what his spell could be, but he defenitly needs his bare hands for it.
Thats all i have to say.

You might have been the one missing something? Most people are wondering over the question Kuma asks to everyone he meets (where would you like to go on vacation), while you seem to completly ignore it.
AFAIK that was what moria was talking about when he refused to answer and said "i know about your power". -

youre badass gorlom
So how can we heal cancer??
-
My list so far
1. Gecko Moria
2.! Blackbeard!
3. Kuma (he definitely has potential though to make it to 2, or maybe even 1)
4. Doflamingo
5. Crocodile
6. Mihawk :getlost: -
Wishes? Bullshit
That's WAY to powerful
Besides if he follows the goverment wouldn't they just use his power to wish that all the pirates were gone?
Or that Luffy would start working for the goverment?
Wishes? THAT'S HILARIOUS!btw: what's the real difference between the target fruit vs the warp fruit?
I really don't like the warp idea as it has been done with Blueno's air door

Well, warping is simply going from one place to another by willing it. The idea of the Target Target Fruit is that he would have to visually describe a target and then utilize his power to travel there. Without a visual description, Kuma can't send them anywhere.
There could also be another restriction that prevents him from sending a person to the same place twice. That would explain why he has his "bible" with him: he writes down where he has teleported a person and notes it, so that he won't make the mistake of sending someone else to that spot.

i don
t think that this spot-system you talk about could be….first he
travelsaround TB what will need a very high spot-system which can
t be written down in his bible...also it would be tooo ridiculous that his weakness is to send him twice too the same spot or someone else....lol -
hahhaha at the spoiler!

that sounds like his power runs out…
that seems new among DF powers... -

I bet Kuma's power has something to do with that Bible he seems to always lug around. He was writting something in it between when Perona answered and right before he sent her to god knows where.
That's all I can think of. I bet it's been said already though.
-
Kuma's powers could pretty much be like the opposite of Astral projection. Maybe the reason he makes the questions is to somehow make his opponents to project said place in their minds before he gets a chance to exploit such mental images to active his powers at the moment of touching them.

Nah, Perona's powers already involve astral projection….......
-
i think he has the travel-travel-Fruitand in his book he writes down all his victims cause of his ego and to remember for sure where they
re…when the WG need them orso hehe... he
s called the tyrann...cause he likes the pain of his victims to send them NOT to the place they want to go heheheBut Kuma could send easily the SH to ImpelDown for rescueing Ace when the WG (or BB) brought him to this place...so maybe after moria is deafeted Kuma will send them to this place .......but i don`t really think soo:wassat:

This is actually a pretty good idea…
It fits with everything that has happened
Moria knew there was a way to counteract Kuma's power but he had to ask Perona, and it's not like he teleported all of the zombies as well
I really like this theory, but there have to be limits because then we deal with the old "but then they could just teleport to Raftel" issue
-
This post is deleted!
-
Well the theory about having an imagine in one's head is plausible because they would have either seen the place before i.e. been there or seen a really good picture of it and remember it. And since nobody's seen Raftel before besides Gol D. Roger (and maybe his crewmates) it's a sound theory. I mean a lot of comic characters that have teleportation powers have that limit.
why did kuma then apear on the thousand sunny?
If Kuma has seen TB before shouldnt he be at a more logical place to find Moria then showing up on a captured ship? (that he hasn't seen before)
-
this thread is getting boring

I doubt Perona has seen her magical haunted castle before… so yeah
-
well.. she has seen morias mansion so if Kumas fruit works that way she could be teleported there. (since it fills the criteria imo)
ofc Kuma asks where people would like to go on vacation. usually people wants to visist someplace new to them so they probably doesnt answer with somewhere they have been before.
-
Hmmmmm….Perhaps.....perhaps he traps them inside his Bible in a world of thier own creation. He draws the mental image from the answer they give, then traps them in the bible where they exist inside the world that they concived in thier mind.
