We should be worrying about who's playing Buggy.
Let's just hope that's the real cast, I'm tired of waiting for anything about this.

Production Weekly seems legit. If things are starting to get to outlets and the marketing machine begins turning, I can't see them sitting on news much longer. They probably aren't expecting people to dive this deep.
If that is the cast, great. I'll wish then all luck and look forward to what they do with the characters. Just waiting to see something official. Either way, it is exciting!
Hearing reports that this was taken down promptly off of Production Weekly's site.
Luffy - Max Charles (17) https://www.instagram.com/maxcharles1/
Zoro - Mackenyu (24) https://www.instagram.com/mackenyu.1116/
Nami - Taylor Richardson (19) https://www.instagram.com/misstaylorrichardson/
Usopp - (21) https://www.instagram.com/marcusscribner/
Sanji - Alex Lange (20) https://www.instagram.com/alexlange/
If this is legit the cast they are PERFECT. Kinda bummed Xolo Mariduena didn't bag luffy but the others I literally have fan cast myself a million times so I'm excited and I knew for sure Marcus would be perfect for Usopp.
The prospective cast definitely looks great! I know Max Charles from his child actor work as the leads in Lion Guard, Harvey Beaks and the Peabody & Sherman movie, and Marcus Scribner as Bow in She-Ra. I also saw some clips of Mackenyu from the Rurouni Kenshin films and Pacific Rim, and he seems like the best fit so far.\
Mostly I'm looking forward to Randy's analysis on the casting; he really gives great insight into what productions like these go through.
this is going to be so terrible i can't wait

Well, it can't be worse then the 4Kids Dub, can it?
@Johnny:

I mean, it can't be much worse than the actual show period, right? I think only the comic is good.

Hope I didn't offend! I kinda had the impression that AP Forums was generally Manga>Anime! I wasn't trying to be shitty.
Not alt all but I would highly suggest you jumping back into the anime the anime is on par with the manga
Well, Paul Rudd, Jason Momoa, and Tatiana Maslany "debunked" the "rumors" of them playing Ant-Man, Aquaman, and She-Hulk respectively.
He could just be trying to not break NDA.
Tru very true but I really believe Mackenyu maybe be Zolo after April he's suspending all his japanese projects to do a hollywood project and has noticably gotten very buff. He's supposed to start shooting in May so maybe around then if he's Zoro we might get some casting information then since that falls in the spring timeframe
I'd imagine they'd have some cast production photos for us when it's time, right?
This must be an April fools joke lol I see it is now the Shaman King forum lol

In any case, it will be nice to have this Netflix adaptation if only to give more reason as to move on from a 15+ year defunct dub that isn’t even being sold right now. It was getting a little tiresome just seeing people focus much of their energy condemning 4Kids as the #1 reason why One Piece isn’t successful in the US, not even focusing and analyzing on how bad dubs and bad edits affected anime popularity like Dragon Ball’s and later efforts like from Funimation.
Depending on how it all looks, the curl is from the people who are working on it!!
Gee Wiz!!!! I can't wait for another stab in the throat from the USA while One Piece already looks like a discarded baby show over here. Hopefully it gets cancelled quick bc Netflix has a habit of doing that out of the blue.
I hope One Piece will be in that "and so much more"
I hope we get a cast announcement and a production date
I totally forgot about the cuphead show! excited for some news about sandman too, noice.
Well, since no one followed up on that story, just giving a heads up that his aforementioned role was for the Saint Seiya movie, not One Piece.
Any Source or link to confirm this?
Netflix Geeked Week is over and nothing on One Piece.
Hoping for at least something on One Piece Day in July.
Disappointed but not surprised no news came out Geeked Week which was poorly handled all around imo hell they didn't even do a proper teaser for Cowboy Bebop. Which btw while John's Spike hair was cool he looks way too old for spike but I'll reserve judgment till more visuals appear. I'm hoping they announce something at Comic Con
.
I am hearing about this for the first time as I was on a complete and total break from One Piece since the beginning of 2017, and I have to say news is as shocking to me as anything revealed in Reverie and Oden flashback, or Kaido and Big Mom teaming up. I really can't fathom that One Piece is built for Live Action
Was looking to see if there was a decent example for the One Piece live action series to potentially draw from as a standard, and I think Keishi Ōtomo‘s work on Rurouni Kenshin might be it.
One piece can never work in Live action. I don't know why but its like no one can make a decent screenplay based on anime.
I think the only company that can even come close is disney. A good enough salesman could definitely convince them to pick it up.
Nah OP can work just fine in Live Action. Don't knock it till some visuals are released

" One month until the release of volume 100 ! Space, drama and lots more ! "
Maybe live-action drama news, or he mean the drama videos for the volume 100.
Pretty sure they're just talking about the 5 announced live action shorts that are being released concurrently with vol 100's release. They're no connection to the Netflix adaptation, just slice of life type shorts. There's a trailer for it on youtube if you search for volume 100

@Kaiolino:
I think they’ve got a scoop right once or twice, which they’ve been coasting on for years despite being wrong the rest of the time.
So take it with a grain of salt.
So happy they are sticking with the ethnicities that Oda picked.
They are their own source so I’m not sure how much to trust them. Can anyone speak to if that website usually has insider information?

Yeah the article comes off very fanfic even with the Ludi Lin as Zoro tip, I'm taking it all with a grain of salt but hopefully this means we'll get news soon

Its happening !
Casting reveal, perhaps…?
With COVID slowing down every production on the planet, I find it hard to believe that they already have some kind of trailer ready to go.
Matt Owens will be in RogersBase's 1022 review
Not my cup of tea, but good marketing tactic.
In volume 100,
There's small announcement about the Live-action: "the project in progress! Wait for the follow up announcement".
I guess there will be announcement soon whether on Sept 3rd or near future.
checks watch .
Ok I got Pirates Of The Caribbean vibes from that..
Seeing the realistic skull instead of the cartoonish one we are so use to weirds me out a little haha
Edit: someone just pointed out to me that it looks weird when the bones aren't behind the O and they are right
