There are so many videos of harassment towards the kid with the gun beforehand, then chasing. If the police surveyed the situation before the hostilities came about and allowed them to protect private property as they stated they were there to do, why continue to harass them? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
But riot and protest like petulant children without civil discourse. That'll fix everything. Antifa and BLM are fine, they're not a problem. Only hundreds of millions of dollars worth of damage nationwide.

They were chasing him because he killed someone.
Meanwhile the cops let him go.
It's like the police aren't even trying anymore to hide their true nature. They might as well just paint "We shoot on sight if black" on their cars.
@The:
How did he escape?
He walked towards the cops with his hands up while still carrying the gun and they let him leave.
I'm pretty sure Rittington was in that crowd earlier in the evening when some of the officers present thanked them for showing up and handed out bottles of water.
People who kill other people love to use private property as an excuse.

! 1/ The CDC abruptly changed its COVID-19 testing guidance to exclude people without symptoms who have been exposed to COVID-19. Previously, the CDC said testing was appropriate for people with recent or suspected exposure, even if they were asymptomatic, “because of the potential for asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission.” The guidance now recommends that, for healthy people who have been within six feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes, “you do not necessarily need a test.” Experts, however, questioned the revision, calling it “potentially dangerous” and saying “testing, even for asymptomatic people, is critical to keeping community transmission low since we know that presymptomatic transmission drives much of the spread.” The new guidance was introduced without an announcement. Instead, the CDC website was quietly updated. (CNN / New York Times / NBC News / ABC News)
2/ The White House pressured the CDC to change its guidance on testing asymptomatic people who have been exposed to the coronavirus. “It’s coming from the top down,” an official said. Another said the guidelines were not written by the CDC but were imposed. HHS Assistant Secretary Brett Giroir said the changes were “discussed at the last task force meeting and approved,” and that the idea had originated with himself and CDC Director Robert Redfield. However, Thursday was the same day Dr. Anthony Fauci was under general anesthesia for vocal cord surgery. Dr. Fauci confirmed that he was not part of the discussion. Trump has repeatedly suggested that the U.S. should do less testing. (CNN / New York Times / Washington Post / Bloomberg)
3/ The Trump administration threatened to withhold Medicare and Medicaid funding from hospitals if they don’t report COVID-19 data to the Department of Health and Human Services. Until now, some hospitals were voluntarily reporting this information. The new rules, however, make reporting a requirement for participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. In July, the administration ordered hospitals to stop reporting coronavirus data to the CDC, but instead send results to HHS by way of a private vendor. Weeks later, HHS reversed course and returned the responsibility for data collection to the CDC. [[I]Editor’s note: I’m admittedly confused here. Anyone able to clarify all of this for me?] (New York Times)
4/ The intelligence community said there is “no information or intelligence” that foreign countries, including Russia, are “engaged in any kind of activity to undermine any part of the mail-in vote.” The disclosure contradicts Trump and Attorney General William Barr, who have repeatedly falsely claimed that foreign adversaries are targeting mail ballots as part of a “rigged” presidential election. Senior officials, however, declined to discuss Russia’s efforts to amplify Trump’s attempts to sow mistrust and doubt about the legitimacy of the election. (NPR / Politico / CNN / Associated Press)
5/ Trump said he will send federal law enforcement and the National Guard to to Kenosha, Wisconsin to “restore law and order” amid protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, who was shot multiple times at close range and left paralyzed. Trump’s authority to send in federal resources, however, is limited without the direct invitation of the state government. Meanwhile, a white, 17-year-old police admirer was arrested and charged with homicide after two people were killed and another seriously wounded by gunfire. Kyle Rittenhouse traveled about 15 miles from Antioch, Illinois to Kenosha. He also appeared in the front row at a Trump rally in January. After three days following Blake’s shooting, Trump has not directly addressed it, but instead tweeted that he “will NOT stand for looting, arson, violence, and lawlessness on American streets.” (Politico / Bloomberg / ABC News / NBC News / Associated Press / Washington Post / BuzzFeed News)
6/ The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to reinstate restrictions on an abortion medication that were temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. In July, a federal judge blocked the FDA from enforcing its rule on mifepristone, saying the restrictions were an undue burden and “substantial obstacle” on women’s access to abortion services. The administration’s request, if granted, would again prevent women from getting the drug unless they visit a hospital, clinic, or medical office, and acknowledge in writing that they have been advised of the drug’s risks. (CNBC)
7/ In 2018, Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection officials suggested deploying a microwave weapon against immigrants at the border. The “heat ray” was designed by the military to make people’s skin feel like it is burning when they get within range of its invisible beams. Kirstjen Nielsen, then the secretary of homeland security, told an aide afterward that she would not authorize the use of the device. At a separate meeting earlier in the day – and 15 days before the 2018 midterms – Trump directed his Nielsen and White House staff that “extreme action” was needed to stop the migrants caravans heading to the U.S. border. People who kill other people love to use private property as an excuse.
It doesn't really need to be private property.
You had a panhandler in Louisiana get killed by a guy who justified the shooting with the bread and butter "feared for his life" excuse.
And mind you the guy confronted the panhandler for simply asking a woman who neither men knew for money.
There are so many videos of harassment towards the kid with the gun beforehand, then chasing. Yeah, the premeditation here is pretty blatant. What else were you going to do by bringing an firearm across state lines and to a protest was otherwise peaceful, far as I know (or at least not lethally violent)?

Even if it wasn't premeditated, he still murdered two people with an illegal firearm. How is that not the issue here? How is it still about "property damage"? Hint: It's not and never was. Anyone have a guess what mr.french and his ilk are actually bitching about? Three chances here, folks.

I know what happened. Fanatic Antifa/BLM rioters want to riot and destroy private property, and you'll have the other side of the spectrum to come out and react. But again, in this case, at the gas station, before anyone was shot, lots of antagonism and harassment on the side of the rioters. Even video not too far from the shooting afterwards, rioters were already destroying vehicles one by one parked on the road.

So the answer here was to have a 17 year old kid with an illegal obtained firearm, kill two people, then run like a little bitch, also allowed to do so by police?
Last time I checked all four of these things are illegal.
Kid murders two people and everyone justifiably angry. Sure. No problem. That's fair.
Buildings and life's work being burned down to the ground in the name of "peaceful protest" by Antifa and those "claiming" to be under BLM. We'll pretend not to see that.

What part of this regarding the committing of homicide and fleeing from the scene of a crime isn't registering with you?
Find where I stated it wasn't a crime. A little sperm does something illegal (although at the time - there wasn't a floating sign above his head stating "Hey I crossed the border with an illegal firearm"), holds a firearm with others holding firearms, and then rioters harassing them, charging, throwing shit. I don't know… How uneducated does one have to be to not understand that violence will ensue. As I stated before, in a different way, stupidity was the cause of death. That was my comment on the matter.
Do you have nowhere else to go than a OP forum after r/thedonald was banhamered or something?

Find where I quoting you saying that. Which of course is neither justifiable or excusable.

Yup. I'm totally the bad guy for being willing to acknowledge both the kid murdering two people AND the rioting that cost people their livelyhoods.
Ah yes, the protestors were intimidating and probably said some mean things to armed psychos and that justifies murder. Let's just hope the little bastard is tried as an adult. He'll be real popular inside :)

So, I wouldn't be the bad guy if I ONLY chose to acknowledge the kid murdering two people. But acknowledging the rioting and looting and pointing out that out as well is bad. Holy fuck.
do you… know that buildings can be rebuilt?
So we're just not going to give a fuck until someone gets burned inside the buildings?
You're not just "acknowledging" them, you're presenting them as equal. Which they absolutely are not. People are being murdered with impunity, and you're crying about buildings. Fucking priorities, my guy.
Don't try to pull this "presenting them as equal" bullshit.
How in the hell is burning and looting helping promote the cause of police brutality and racial inequality and injustice? How is potentially ruining someone's livelyhood in anyway a help. Even moreso if these people are completely innocent.
God fucking forbid you have empathy not just for the victims of the shooting but the people completely and unfairly impacted by dumbasses doing unnecessary destruction and condemning those activities as well.
But no, instead lets focus on one of two stories, sweep one under the rug with the excuse of "priorities", and when someone points out the injustice to them shit on their plight as "just buildings".
You're equating the destruction of things that can be replaced via insurance or mitigated with the social safety network with the taking of human life.
You're presenting them as equal. And murder is still worse than property damage, no matter how much you try to spin it. Priorities, my dude.
Point me to where I've said they're equal.
Why the hell is it so hard to just condemn rioters burning down buildings and looting? Is it because they're not wearing MAGA hats?

Reread your own posts. Every time you talk about the literal murders you also have to squeeze the protests and riots in there too. Yeah, rioting is bad, but do you know what's worse? Murder. There, I acknowledged the rioting without trying breeze past the murders. Deal with the worst problem first, then move on to the rest. It ain't hard.
My own posts never equate the two. You guys do. Of course I'm talking about the protests and riots that happened there. Because they happened at the same location at the same time.
No one is trying to breeze past the murders but you know what's disturbing? The way you're not even trying to acknowledge how people who are supposed to be fighting the good fight are fucking their own message by screwing innocent people and when brought up you go "eh, just buildings".

The protests and riots happened at the same places around the same times as the MURDERS? How odd. I wonder if they are in any way related? Maybe something about being murdered by authority figures and systematic oppression pisses people off? I wonder…
And yes, human lives are still more valuable than buildings. Come to terms with that and maybe you'll understand why people are more concerned with the fucking MURDERS. I don't think I can help you with that though. I'll just leave you with that and maybe someone else can help you.

Don't even try and make the rioting start to sound slightly OK just because people are mad.
And please, keep ASSUMING that just because I'm not willing to turn a complete blind eye to the destruction must mean that I think that the buildings are equal to human lives. If that helps you with you lack of empathy towards the victims.
(Nevermind how dangerous intentionally burning places is a serious threat towards people's lives. Hmmm)
Rationalizing his murders with "Self defense" is like if I went and stood in the middle of a highway during peak traffic, and when a car inevitably hit me, getting into my car and running them over.
You don't illegally take a weapon that you don't own, illegally cross state lines with it, illegally bare that weapon in a state where you cannot open carry under 18, Illegally stay out in a curfew, put yourself in a situation that puts your well being in danger willfully to counter protestors, brag on video how you came to possibly use lethal force to protect other peoples property, and then get to claim self defense.
Especially when the defense for the first killing -at best- is to justify someone possibly throwing a flaming object near him, which misses. THEN he kills him. His life was not in danger.
He MIGHT have had a claim to self defense in his second murder, had it not been that the crowd chasing him did so AFTER HE SHOT A MAN IN THE HEAD.
It's the same as George Zimmerman. George called the police because a kid was walking in the neighborhood where he self proclaimed himself the neighborhood watch, they told him don't follow and let the police handle it. He stalked the kid with a gun until an altercation broke out, and then murdered him while yelling him while claiming "self defense"
You don't break multiple laws to go out of your way to put yourself in a violent situation, as you brag you'll use lethal force, do such a thing, then say "well I HAD to. I was in danger".
The one glimmer of hope in his trial will be that it's an FBI matter since he crossed State lines. I wouldn't trust the outright court system of Wisconsin given the fucking Kenoshan cops were THANKING this kid for being out there breaking all of these laws, and giving him water right before he killed two.
During protests, there are groups of people who join to cause damage. They see it as an opportunity to loot and destroy property. This is true not only in the US, but everywhere. And I'm not even talking about infiltrated antiprotesters (which does happen from time to time). Demonstrators will usually single out and try to expell these people.
There is a big narrative of protest = loot which is peddled by the people on the opposite side. Just equating protest with looting and destruction shows a strong bias. It's a common tactic by authoritarian governments because it silences the people. So the problem here is not people defending property damage, is equating protest with violence to discredit the message.
Especially when the defense for the first killing -at best- is to justify someone possibly throwing a flaming object near him, which misses. THEN he kills him.
Video shows it was pretty clearly just a plastic bag that the victim had picked up off the ground not long before getting shot.

I was very tempted to say something that may or may not get me threadbanned. But The D. kindly took care of that.
He crossed state lines with an illegal firearm and murdered two people. Fuck you.
There. There it is.
As far as the looting/rioting conversation goes, with how much shit the black community has gone through and how more peaceful protests have been talked down (ie no kneeling during the national anthem that's not the proper time), it's society's fault that it has escalated to this point. So many people keep drowning out the voices saying that things need to be changed, so inevitably the voices have to get louder in order to get some sort of attention. While I don't like the idea of riots and looting, I place the blame of those that have been suppressing the black community and that if they want this to truly end, they need to wake the fuck up and actually make substantial changes in order to stop this. Also, easy to think it's all violent protests when the media mainly focuses on those rather than the majority of the peaceful protests, or the fact that many of the violent ones are started by bad actors (cops, alt right people).
As for the murders that happened, just stop with any sort of justification for the murderer. Black people get so much scrutiny as the victims yet the murderers are given so much leeway. I don't care if you think you are trying to be fair, just stop giving any sort of defense to these monsters. Shit, Tucker Carlson defended him as a fighter for to help maintain order, so as far as I'm concerned anybody playing any sort of defense for the shooter is just as bad as Tucker.
I sometimes let my emotions get the better of me in this particular thread, and I often end up feeling bad and regretting the heated things I've said. Not in these cases though.
The practical reason the issue keeps getting dismissed and ignored is that nobody knows what to do about the arson attacks and the looting. They're a natural outgrowth of the rage people feel at seeing the police continuously get away with killing people in the streets with little or no cause, with gasoline thrown on that rage by the sudden, incredible burst of police brutality caught on camera early on in the George Floyd protests and the president's own horrible, authoritarian response.
At a certain point in every major political uprising people just start to minimize the collateral damage because the cost of giving up is worse.
The police may not be causing more property damage than the protesters but they've certainly killed more people, so tolerating some arson attacks and looting is seen as a justified and necessary cost in the fight against very real and very common oppression and mass murder.

I wonder how people felt being told that buildings could be rebuilt after the Reichskristallnacht.
No one is trying to breeze past the murders but you know what's disturbing? The way you're not even trying to acknowledge how people who are supposed to be fighting the good fight are fucking their own message by screwing innocent people and when brought up you go "eh, just buildings".
It's a fact that the vast majority of these protests have been peaceful, the people burning things are a tiny fraction. So this insistence on focusing on them and making them the face of the movement and insisting they "Hurt" the movement is baffling.
But ignoring that for a second, to all of the "But can't they just protest a different way?!" I have a serious question:
What are they Supposed to do?
And before you say "Peaceful protest!" that has been tried. For years. Without any kind of results and in fact, is actually detrimental to the lives and livelihoods of the people doing the protesting. The most recent and high profile example is Colin Kaepernick.
All he was doing was silently kneeling during the National Anthem. He didn't even ANNOUNCE what he was doing or why he was doing it. It took someone noticing it and asking him about it to start any kind of discussion.
Mostly silent, totally nonviolent, perfect right? What's the problem with it?
He got savaged by the news media, mocked by conservative commentators, fired from his job, and blacklisted from being hired by others. I know he bounced back and got that Nike ad. Dude isn't hurting for money, but it not only did nothing for the cause but actively set back the cause because conservative news media was able to spin this in a different way "He's disrespecting the flag/troops!"
Also: Almost every picture you've probably seen shared of "Peaceful Protests done right" from the civil rights movement of people marching, or holding hands in harmony was PROBABLY followed 5 minutes later by cops shooting tear gas in to the crowds unnecessarily escalating the situation, and then a full blown riot breaking out.
MLK was asked to respond to these riots and flat out said "a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear?”
Peaceful protests were not only unheard this time, but savagely dragged and mocked as being UnAmerican, disrespectful, a crybaby, Traitor, that he "Hates" America among many many others.
Meanwhile, these protests HAVE been succeeding at getting some real change done.
So.
Explain to me please.
Explain to me the correct perfect way for Black People to protest the clear and inarguable bias the police have against them and the brutality and murder that this bias often leads to.
What is it?
I wonder how people felt being told that buildings could be rebuilt after the Reichskristallnacht.
Are you comparing black protestors to Nazis? thinking face emoji
(Also ignoring that Kristallnacht was encouraged by the government. And that the POINT was to destroy buildings and terrorize a vulnerable minority, rather than the excesses of peaceful protests. And that there were many deaths that night as well. And that the Jews were forced to pay themselves for the damages)
