Well I wouldn't say I'm not looking forward to Phase 4 at all, just that I'm more interested in the shows than most of the slated movies. I'm mostly interested in seeing how the storys of the characters I'm already invested in continue, so naturally those are the ones I'm most excited for. That's why the first few films of Phase 4 don't interest me that much ( if the new characters turn out to be great, it's of course a different story). The shows, meanwhile, all feature characters I really want to see. I'm excited that Bucky and Falcon get their time in the spotlight and that Zemo is back, Wandavision seems to be the most interesting thing they've done with Scarlet Witch so far, and more Loki is always a treat. All that said, I am really looking forward to all the sequel films, too! As I said, I love most of the characters, I just want to see more of them ;-)
Okay that's more understandable, I can understand being more excited over the tv shows than the movies but still being excited about the movies in general
Infinity Wars and Endgame ended 2 of the characters I care about the most and the tv series are largely covering other characters I'm interested in. I'll see Black Widow, Black Panther, and Guardians 3 for sure, but the rest will have to win me with hype because my investment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is nowhere near as strong now. I've said this before, but I'm somewhat concerned about Guardians and Thor because I hate the idea that Thor comes first and that interesting place we had him in for Guardians won't be explored, regardless of the reasons.
The shows, meanwhile, all look pretty interesting and star characters I already like and feature the storylines that I'm most interested in after Endgame.
It's because they killed off beloved characters that everyone cares about that they need to bring in new properties to fill the void (even if they'll never truly succeed)
but honestly I just don't understand the whole, "I'm not invested in the new ones so I'm uninterested" I mean there was probably someone who said the same thing in 2014 when they brought the guardians in and was like "They should just stick to earth and the avengers, I don't know these characters and have no investment in them" the same was probably said about ant man in 2015 and 2016 with Doctor Strange, and Black Panther, Captain Marvel etc
the point is, you can't get invested in a character until they throw them out there and try, and I'd rather see them do new and exciting things than just keep making sequels to everything that works (though I'm still looking forward to the sequals)
