The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX is in legal trouble over the screenings for Wonder Woman that were advertised as a women's-only event. That was apparently a violation of discrimination laws. As a settlement, the Alamo has offered to update their discrimination policy and a free copy of Wonder Woman on DVD for the complainants. No word yet on if the two men making the complaints have accepted or if the case will proceed.
I'm genuinely curious to see what the outcome will be.
Just to be clear, this case is about how the Alamo decided to promote the women's-only event. The event itself is not the problem here.

Compared to the political chaos the US is suffering, whatever little annoyances we have here is nothing. Life is absolutely fine here.

In recent years? Off the top of my head:
-the cover that depicted Mohammed and caused the attack on their HQ was in terrible taste (though obviously that doesn't condone the actions of the terrorists).
-They made a cover where The father, the son, and the holy spirit fucked to show support of gay marriage. They also made one where a muslim made out with a cartoonist. Even if you're pro gay marriage, as I am, and an atheist, as I am, both covers were gratituously offensive to religious folk and unnecessary.
