R.I.P. Charlie Murphy
Yeah, I was shocked when I found out about that during my lunch hour at work. Man, I loved his work in the Chappelle Show and his voice work as Ed Wuncler the 3rd in the Boondocks. I even watched one of his stand ups at one point.
RIP Charlie. May you continue telling True Hollywood stories in heaven. ;_;

We've lost Admiral Sengoku.
Ed Blaylock has passed.
Wow, this is incredibly sad. Whenever I see someone pass, I always check their ages and 64 feels young… Cancer is a horrible thing....
RIP, my heart goes out to his friends and family...

Jack O Niell has died 94. He was the creator of the wetsuit
Tino Insana passed away May 31 at the age of 69. He was the voice of Uncle Ted from Bobby's World, Bushroot from Darkwing Duck, Pig from Barnyard, and a few other roles as listed here: http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Tino-Insana
Despite using the same distinctive voice for most of his roles, I always enjoyed hearing him in every show he was in, especially as Uncle Ted way back when.
Peter Sallis of Wallace and Gromit and the Last of the Summer wine has passed away. He was the grand age of 96
Amazing to think he was in he was still around 90 when he last voice Wallace.

Oh wow really, I remember watching Barnyard a lot, never even realized it was the same voice. That's a shame.

Him too?! @_@ Geez, I love Wallace and Gromit (still haven't seen the werebunny movie though). May they both rest in peace.
Ah damn, that sucks. I have to admit, I never really saw much of the 60's Batman, but his numerous self-parodying cameos were always a delight.
It really has been a bad week…
He was planning to attend a convention in Las Vegas I'll be at in a couple weeks. I'll try to report on how the mood is, especially if Burt Ward has any kind of eulogy for him.
I didn't even know he was that old. Though I guess most of my exposure to him anytime recently was his character in Family Guy. RIP.
Catman finally went nigh-nigh
Man, I feel sad now. :(

John Avildsen, director of Rocky and The Karate Kid, died on June 18th at age 81 from pancreatic cancer.
Well that's depressingly surprising.
Chiming in from the high seas because this news is absolutely deserving of being mentioned here and also because it's a little personal to me being a fellow sailor and all:
7 Navy sailors were killed when a large container vessel collided with the USS Fitzgerald, severely damaging much of the ship's starboard side, as well as serious damage below the waterline; resulting in several compartments being flooded.
The crew saved the ship from sinking, but seven sailors became trapped in the flooded berthing compartments, and will never return home to their families from deployment.
Please take a few moments out of your day to read about their lives. My thoughts and condolences to their loved ones, this was a terrible tragedy that could have been avoided.

Out of all of those, I'm familiar with the oldest work there =
Never forget
Yup its the only work I can think of for Adam West , that very campy 60s version of Batman. It was reruns when I was watching it as a kid in the 70s but I remember the tune (my sister singing a parody "badbababa Fatman!" ensures that) =

Reading their stories, it really hits me how much we as a society lose out on…
