@Dragon-D-Luffy Maybe it's because of webcomic fans clashing with fans of the Murata version

I am really enjoying Arrow quite a bit this season. Flash and Supergirl on the other hand are just disappointing week after week.

RE: DC Movies Thread - Shazam saves the day
My thoughts on the movie (beware of spoilers):
! Justice League feels like a big departure from the darker BvS. There is quite a bit of humor in the film and it is actually funny, you can really see that Whedon was involved. The chemistry between the cast is absolutely fantastic and you can feel that they were having a good time while filming this move. I really liked the Flash, Aquaman and (to my surprise) Cyborg. Batman and WW were also good. But I think the best character in this movie is Superman. After his dark and broody phase in the last two installments of the Snyder Trilogy he feels like a beam of sunshine in this movie. He smiles, his suit looks very bright and seems to be having a good time. The revival makes sense in-universe and while we have to deal with a generic "I have been revived and I'm evil" plot it is luckily restricted to one action scene. Alfred is also good. Nearly every character has jokey bits, even Batman. The action was okay in this movie and I reelly liked that Btamna actually failed quite a bit in this movie. I did not want to see the Batgod. The Parademons also looked good.
! Steppenwolf was a generic henchman villain who served his purpose. He does not really have a real motivation outside of making Earth part of Darkseid's empire and he seems to be quite insane as he called the Mother Boxes his Mother and that remined me of the Martha scene. He is not really good but not really bad. He is quite strong and a little bit intimidating. But his CG was not good. Honestly, who was expecting Steppenwolf, one of the most unrecognizable New Gods, to be a good villain? I did not so I was not disappointed in that regard. He is generic and serves his purpose.
! Another thing that is generic is the plot of this movie but that was also clear because most team-up movies do not really have a great plot. It is a simple "we have to save the world" kind of plot.
! The movie's pacing is quite fast as they do not really waste time with a lot of exposition and jump from A to B quite fast and this is probably due to the fact that the movie's runtime was cut down to 2 hours.
! So overall the movie is fine in my opinion. It is fun, the characters are good (bar Steppenwolf) and I had a good time. Then again I have liked every DCEU movie except for SS so I am not part of the audience they had to impress with this movie. They really should have started production after they saw how BvS was received and not the day the movie was released. I really liked it but I really hope Snyder is done with the DCEU. He has tried it three times but his DCEU movies were not able to become critically acclaimed.
! as for the post credit scenes:
! >! The first one was the classic Superman vs. the Flash race with no clear victor. The second one, which features Deathstroke (who has white hair), sets up the Injustice League/Legion of Doom/Secret Society of Supervillains. -

RE: Death Note
My thoughts on the Live action "adaptation":
! The movie was absolutely terrible as a Death Note adaptation. The kid who portrayed Light was terrible in this and was too over the top in some scenes. L was okay and Ryuk was the only character who was truly fun to watch because of William Dafoe. Light turns from a charismatic mastermind into a thirsty edgelord. Mia turns from a girl obsessed with Light to a girl obsessed with the Death Note Some rules established in the source are completely ignored for the sake of tensions between Light and L (Watari is affected by the Death Note even though we do not know his full name and Light Turner just writes Watari into the book) and I did not know that the Death Note could influence the trajectory of a single piece of paper. The only time in which Light Turner even resembles Light Yagami is towards the end when he plans the way he survives the inescapable situation. The movie is unintentionally funny though. Every scene with Light and Mia is just downright unbearable especially when they are making out while killing people.
! An overall terrible adaptation. I cannot judge it as a movie because I cannot stop thinking about how much better the source truly is. And they are considering making a sequel to this turd. Please don't do that Netflix. -

This J/HQ movie is the Gotham City Sirens movie that was previously announced. Ayer is not attached anymore.

RE: Marvel TV Series Thread: The Inhuman Cosplayers
Just finished it. Beware of spoilers.
! It was good. It was very nice to see the casts of the different shows interact with each other and that's what made this show so much fun to watch. The only thing I found disappointing was Alexandra. She did not really do anything important other than control Elektra (and die later on) and the other fingers of the hand felt far more threatening than her. Oh and I thought that it was obvoius that Matt was going the survive since DD S3has entered production. What kind of bullshit explanation will they use to justify his survival?
! I don't think that the Hand is done for though. I don't really think that Gao is dead.
! Overall it was good but not great. Worth a watch purely because it's nice to see certain character interactions.
! This is how I would rank the Netflix series:
