Happy (day after) Thanksgiving everyone!
-
Tons of hilarious moments in this one but lecherous Dende wasn't one of them.
-
Chichi's a freak
"I feel like a man dying of thirst watching another man drown."
-
Hello Dende my old friend.
-
My story begins as most do, with a girl shooting a little boy in the face.
-
"Go for ten"-Very subtle TFS
Great episode,worth the wait.
The Android 16 clip was superb, kudos on that. -
"We can't use the back door. Chi Chi says I'm not allowed to anymore."
-
Super Kami Dende.
-
I love how they balanced and paced all these pre-Cell game storylines for this episode. I hoped they'd use this stretch of episodes to it's fullest, and I think they did.
That thing with Android 16 was a neat idea.
-
Popo cracked a legit smile.
I expect a great dynamic between them. That and Dende called Piccolo Nail was funny too. That reaminds me, had Goku known Dende at all on Namek?

I don't think he saw him alive while on Namek.
This episode was a nice break. Dende hot for Gohan lolz. I had forgotten that Dende duper hated most of the earthlings. He'll be a great god lol.
-
Did Dende get a new voice actor and overall new actual character? He seems different but maybe I'm just not remembering him from before. I think he's kind of obnoxious now honestly. Everything else was great. I love Goku's teleporation making that popping sound.
-

He probably saw him very briefly when Dende wished everyone to Earth.
I guess he might have seen Dende's body earlier when Vegeta died.

Well, if you were just kidnapped and brought back to the group that may have saved his life but basically made his living life a hell (Krillan in particular) yeah, I'd be pissy too. However this is the same Dende that told Freiza that they were from Earth for the sole reason that Krillan would not stop calling him "Lil Green". If anything, this is pretty good character progression.
-
"Living hell"? I didn't knew that Freezer was in earth.
-
Good episode, they crammed A LOT in there.
-
The Dende & Popo dynamic is already very promising.
The sound effect when Popo smiled was a nice touch. -
A-16 being Gero's son (built on his image at least) and having been killed by Goku's rampage on the RR headquarters was pure gold.
-
Was the character reading the text stuff at the beginning supposed to be kid Goku?

Goking while taking care of Chichi.
-
Personally, I felt they lingered on the Goku/Chi-Chi stuff too long (though it did result in some great lines). Other than that, the episode was gold. It's great having Dende back.
-
Awesome episode. Thie Dende stuff was so hilarious
-
Dende and Popo are gonna have a lot of fun in the Buu saga.
-

Gohan, while his parents were… busy
-
So, everyone ready for Brolly in christmas?
-
Half hoping it'll be an extended Christmas Tree of Might.
That or they skip straight to Bio-Brolly.
-
It'll be nice for them to get Broli out of the way purely so people can stop asking for it. Be interesting to see what they do in order to make him interesting.
The first Broli movie was actually pretty good. It was the follow ups that completely ruined him. (And the fanbase.)
It's also the longest DBZ movie by far at 72 minutes, the rest are only 45 minutes. (Except Path to Power which was 90. Battle of Gods and Ressurection F were also 90 minutes long but they're long past the original run and are basically Super films now.)
-
Kaiser's having a fun time editing it; the footage isn't very well preserved and doesn't play nice.
They're also splitting it into two parts, with the first on Christmas.
-
Broly on Freeza Day, how magical.
-
Lollll they married Korin and Yajirobe, amazing.
-
I'd be angry too if I went to a banquet and it was really a potluck.
-
I like the personality they gave to Broly.
Did this really happened before The Cell Games?

Did this really happened before The Cell Games?
It's the only time it could have happened. Gohan can go Super Saiyan but Goku's not dead.

This movie takes place during the few days before the Cell Games, that's why it's one of the two DBZ movies to fit in the Canon timeline.
-
"Stop trying to trigger my son!"
"Freezer with an I!"Considering that Broly had a shy nerdy teenager voice, I think that might have been my favorite joke in the whole thing.

The movie's events can flow nicely in the 10 day gap, considering Trunks has long hair, there's no 17 or 18 running around, and IIRC Gohan does turn Super Saiyan. The only real hiccup is that Goku and Gohan don't have the constant SSJ mode switched on, but even then, it's just aesthetical.
-
I like when TeamFourStar call back their old jokes.
Yes.
-
Bardock, the brilliant scientist
-
The school interview just reminds me how absurd it is that Chichi doesn't try to use Goku's status as the guy who killed King Piccolo and beat his son a few years later to their advantage.
-
Aw man, I want the full thing now! This was a delight. I especially like Brolly's voice. I've been wondering what they'd do with a guy who barely speaks, and this works fine.
-
I have now realized that, until this point, I had absolutely no idea what Broly's design was when he wasn't in his SSJ form.
-

I know, right? Personally I like the shirtless Conan-like Warrior design that makes him looks like a
Pillar ManAztec God. -
For what it's worth, a lot of the people who hate Broly/Broly movies still praise his actual design.
-
Broly's design and demeanor are really great and terrifying. Problem is everything surrounding him.
Oh, and Broly was voiced by Weekly Tube Show. Which brings everything full circle I guess.

And Paragus has Dr Gero's abridged voice. I think…
-
I didn't think it was possible, but they topped Super Trucker Hat 13.
-
Awkard Broly is terribly hilarious. And Princess Trunks lol. Wtf Vegeta.
I hadn't seen the Broly movie in forever. I completely forgot that the basis for Broly being a villain was that Goku annoyed him into his mentally unbalanced fits of rage and galactic dsstruction.
-
Funny episode, I hope part 2 comes out soon.
