Never in my life have I been anywhere close to this scared of election day.
Just voted here in Maine. The line was only five minutes. In this election since I didn't partially like either presidential hopeful. I would usually vote for a third party. However this is a close enough race in Maine where Trump and Hillary could split the electoral votes if the count is close enough. So in the end I voted for the candidate who least clashes with my viewpoints, and who would least likely cause damage to the US as a whole. In both cases the answer was Hillary for me.
On side note some of the laws that Maine is voting for(that I cared about anyway) includes:
Edit: If Trump wins, maybe I could move to Costa Rica. I speak Spanish well enough, and I heard properties are really cheap there. (Being semi serious).

Thanks for sharing, that article is making me laugh!
The Trumpsters have been yelling about voter fraud all this time, yet forget to do one essential step for voting = register. HELLO! Voter registration has been one of the big topics for this election, obviously they have not really been paying attention.
I really love the ones that say they accidentally voted for Clinton.

A lot of them probably just supported him for the lulz.
Ignorance is bliss. Seriously though most Clinton supports don't understand how fucked up and shady everyone who works with her really are. Pedophiles, rapists, bribery, the list goes on. The voting is rigged, Hillary was going to win anyway. She can't run a country but she sure as hell can keep face for a bunch of psychopaths.
Either choice you are still getting fucked in the ass, one a litter harder. Good luck with buying into the 'War on Terror' again and continued false flags. Those of you reading who buy into the promises and lies of the media can drown with it.
I just heard from CNN 5 precincts in North Carolina had to change to paper ballots because their software malfunctioned. Hopefully we won't see the return of hanging chads and tons of recounts like we had in 2000.

Exactly. Hillary supporters choose to keep their head in the sand. Trump is a saint compared to that women.

That's funny… but I wouldn't believe anything coming from 4chan, especially a Gizmodo article about 4chan threads
I can never help but wonder what it must be like to live one's life with some consistent mixture of paranoia, anger, and delusion. The main thing that always comes to my mind is how depressingly stressful it must be.
At any rate, I'd already voted (absentee ballot, absurdly convenient, can't recommend it strongly enough), so at this point it's just wait and see. Was discussing with some people whether we thought we'd see either candidate concede by the end of the day. I would personally have bet against it, since things seemed to be pointing towards Hillary (although that's obviously not set in stone), and I can't for the life of me imagine Donald conceding by day's end if that's the case.

It's called Show, Don't Tell.
You can keep telling us how "corrupt" Hillary is but how about actually showing it. With facts and evidence to back it up.

That's part of the joke.

On side note some of the laws that Maine is voting for(that I cared about anyway) includes:
- Raising the minimum wage to nine dollars/hour by 2020(I think)
- Legalizing recreational marijuana usage for people 21 and over and marijuana sales would be subjected to whatever Maine's tax laws are in effect.
- Increasing background checks for guns.
Edit: If Trump wins, maybe I could move to Costa Rica. I speak Spanish well enough, and I heard properties are really cheap there. (Being semi serious).
I heard there was something about changing the first-past-the-post vote system in Maine because the governor was elected twice without a majority and he's really unpopular. That wasn't on the ballot?
Where did the Trumpers suddenly come from lol?

Trump caught peeking at Melania's ballot.

All the things Trump is personally going to trial for in the next couple months?
Clinton has been under several lengthy investigations already and constant smear campaigns and been found innocent.
The voting is rigged,
No, it's not. We'd be much less worried if it was. The trump campaign is the one boasting about suppressing voters and encouraging intimidation tactics.
Hillary was going to win anyway. She can't run a country but she sure as hell can keep face for a bunch of psychopaths.
She's one of the most qualified people in history to run for the office. You may not like her personally, but her resume is solid.
As for those voting for her, it's largely the Trump supporters coming out in mobs and crying hate speech, and claiming that things are rigged, siding with Neo-Nazis and the KKK.
Hillary Clinton’s not going to gut, rollback and undo nearly all the progress on gay rights, climate change, healthcare, the minimum wage, women’s rights, abortion rights and a whole host of other progressive beliefs we’ve spent decades fighting for.

The media has pretty consistently been pretty lousy to Clinton and pretty good to Trump, actually. He was softballed for months, and many of his problems were overlooked, ignoring the 75 ongoing lawsuits (including the ones about fraud and underage rape) while Hillary has been harrassed about emails nonstop for 2 years.
That's part of the joke.
Ah, rgr that…
I find myself in El Paso, TX today... Lots of nervous talk and jokes about the wall.

–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Exactly. Hillary supporters choose to keep their head in the sand. Trump is a saint compared to that women.
The difference between singular and plural is a rigged falsehood concocted by Acorn and the Clinton Foundation, and I might be blown up by the Clintons for saying this.
I heard there was something about changing the first-past-the-post vote system in Maine because the governor was elected twice without a majority and he's really unpopular. That wasn't on the ballot?
Yes that was on ballot. I didn't mentioned it because it wasn't something I did research on before the election. I did more research on the three mentioned. From what I understand(but not 100% sure) it was a proposition to state who you want in office and then what are your second, third, etc. choices after that. I don't know how the secondary, tertiary etc. choices are figured in the future ballots if it passes, though.
Edit: Yeah its not rocket science to see why LaPage is unpopular in Maine. Granted he did create more jobs in Maine, but when someone have racial views and comments that are basically the same as Trump. . . well. I may be Caucasian, but that doesn't mean I don't care about minority rights which LaPage basically spits at.
Where did the Trumpers suddenly come from lol?
Their level of actual investment and attention is probably comically low, so that the idea of even looking at this thread and posting in it didn't occur to them until election day.
Yet we're the ones who need to be set straight naturally.
Thank christ this thing is finally coming to an end
Just voted here in NC. First time voting in this state… I registered at the DMV earlier this year out of convenience but ended up having to use a provisional ballot since it apparently never made it to the registry. I guess it was a common thing this year for the DMV to be bad about getting their shit in order judging from the workers' response at the poll.
For those of you just tuning in the difference between the garden variety anti-Hillary people, and someone who is wearing a tinfoil hat with not even the slightest grasp of reality is the following.
Type 1: Emails! Benghazi! Clinton Foundation!
Type 2: The Clintons have been killing people to cover up stuff!
I just want this shitshow of an election to be over.

dropper's post reminds me of the Europeans who randomly jump into a thread how all the idiot Americans are idiot sheeple who listen to the MSM and that "we Europeans" are laughing at how easily duped they are.

…..first Sakonosolo turns heel now we got these guys coming out the woodwork? The fuck.
"Haha, you easily manipulated fools."
logs into RT
North Carolina and Florida results come in around 2-3AM. If either goes blue you can go to bed.
@The:
UPDATE: A suit has just been filed with a superior court in North Carolina calling for an emergency order to force the state board of election to keep the Durham County polling places open until 9pm tonight. Voting has been severely disrupted there by a county-wide failure of voting machines, and the Southern Coalition for Social Justice that has brought the lawsuit says that polling times should be extended to make up for that.
If the suit is successful that could push back the outcome of the North Carolina vote which is hotly contested by Clinton and Trump late into the evening.
Could take longer for NC if this comes through. But yeah, I'll be keeping an eye out for Florida.
I just want this shitshow of an election to be over.
Not if Trump has any say in it. Cue extremely overdramatic eye roll in 3. .2. .1. .
…..first Sakonosolo turns heel now we got these guys coming out the woodwork? The fuck.
It's all a bit horror movie-esque. You run up to your trusted friend and gasp! he's a pod person.
Yeah, europeans can't be idiots (watches shrodringer's brexit and my dear friend Pablo Iglesias) CAN'T BE IDIOTS.
Exitpoll so take with a grain of salt, but 39% of Florida voters are people of color.
Ann Coulter sparks outrage with controversial tweet
Really, what's new? It's Ann Coulter so its going to be offensive and/or controversial. What did she say this time?
@Ann:
If only people with at least 4 grandparents born in America were voting, Trump would win in a 50-state landslide.
Of course others responded quickly. Trevor Noah points out that would mean Trump wouldn't be able to vote "much less run for president". to which Coulter replied "So what? You are like "Politifact," citing irrelevancies as if they detract from blinding truth of my statement. "
Is its irrevelent that Trump's mother was an immigrant so he wouldn't be able to vote despite her statement that only people with four grandparents born in USA should vote? Hypocrite much when the truth is inconvenient, aren't you Coulter?
Huffington Post points out that Coulter's suggestion is eerily similar to something Nazi Germany did.
lol CNN is hyping up Trump winning Kentucky.

the same on SVT ( Sweden ), although they've only counted 10.000 votes.
I'm still reading on FiveThirtyEight. Found this interesting=
(bold is my emphasis)
@Seth:
5:57 PM
Jonathan Bernstein posted an underreported statistic about the election the other day (citing Boris Shor): 73 percent of Democratic state legislators are endorsing Clinton, while 5 percent of Republican state legislators are endorsing Trump.
This strikes me as incredibly important. Yes, a number of prominent Republicans have refused to back Trump and have even urged a vote for Clinton, and a few others like John McCain have gone back and forth in their support. But only in the state legislative endorsements do you get a sense of the dramatic differences between the major-party candidacies this year.
Like most other information about state legislators, this hasn’t been well-covered. Yet it might have given Republican voters greater confidence in casting a vote for someone else or even skipping the presidential race altogether if they knew how many of their party’s elites were opposed to its presidential nominee.
Ok, here we go. Polls are starting to close. The first round that closed ~25 minutes ago are all in Trumpland and were always going to be, but in a few minutes we have Ohio and North Carolina followed by Florida, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania about 30 minutes after.
I'd REALLY like to see Hillary take Florida… that would give a massive amount of breathing room, but I'll take her getting NC and/or NH as well.

She was emailing about having a 7, 8, and 12 year old children in a hot tub for "entertainment" . Is that not wrong to you? To me it's extremly fucked up.

They've explained here really well what blue states, red states and swing states are and which of the latter to look out for. As well as House and Senate races and the Supreme Court appointment. Basically, Dutch reporting doing a great job as long as there isn't a commentator talking about Economic Anxiety again.

Wikileaks ….
Wikileaks ….
HAHAHAAHAHAHA That settles it, its fake. And yes Wikileaks counts as one of those conspiracy theories site when it comes to Clinton, the founder has came out and said he hates Clinton and known to NOT to be objective.
If it was real main news sites would have covered it.
New York Times has started reporting some results.
It's still early (with less than a percent reporting), of course, so don't think what's there now is going remain constant.
Have you heard about the spirit cooking stuff? Very alarming. :getlost:
It's scary. People are "outraged" at Trump a grown man talking about getting pussy but turn a blind eye to Hillary being connected to pedophilia and satanic rituals. I don't get it.

For better or worse, they spend a lot of time explaining concepts in american politics, as well as common terminology. They even took the time to explain the Rust Belt. There is quite a bit of meandering and inviting random celebrities, unfortunately. Luckily we get our previous minister of foreign affairs ( who is probably amongst the most respected politicans we've ever had ) to shed some light on it.

I am VERY worried what will happen to Christian society when she gets elected. Obama was a Muslim, but a Satanist is 100 times worse.
Wikileaks ….
Congratulations, you win the award to the most useless argument of the day.
Here's an advice: Do not trust all the shit the media spouts.
