[hide]While rereading the Zou Arc I came across a few things, one being the word traitor being used twice during the arc and even though a word is Just a word and a theory shouldn't be driven by a single word but driven by a set of actions and hints, well, this theory is driven by one word and a set of information given during the arc.
Oda has been using the word "traitor/treason/betray" quite often since the time-skip as If he's building his audience to a revelation that could change the plot either in a drastic way or in a meh way depending on how he develops the character that is supposed to be given the readers that anticipated "WTF" moment.
The other thing that caught my eyes during my rereading besides the word traitor was the fact that only three named characters were shown to have no bandages or physical damage throughout the whole arc despite every named and no named character having bandages or missing limbs (only two. lol), those three were the lucky ones or may I say the ones closer to be hang for treason 'insert evil emoji here', while some may say that they just didn't get injured or they healed super fast, it just doesn't really make sense why those 3 were the only ones to be so healthy while the other bunch were so "No Healthy" that it actually required Goda to make that distinction, small, sometimes unnoticeable difference in their characters. I must say; this might don't mean anything but it might end up meaning something!
Characters who might be the traitor:
Tristan: Female nurse with the ability to cure herself and who didn't get enough panel times for the readers to actually care about her besides her providing support during Chopper's field visits to Nekomamushi and whoever else he was taking care of.
Wanda: Dog Mink who received plenty of panel time, was shown to care greatly about the Minks and had three to five panels during the fight with jackass here are some:
1. Joining the fight along side a white bunny that looks like a freaking traitor.
2. Receiving orders to retreat by Sicilian.
3. And then we seen her on the ground covering her nose with some sort of nose-rag, I mean, a dog covering her nose aint that something.
I must say though, she really does strike me as the least traitorish of them all. We've seen her cry and she's not a princess, we've seen her smile and we've also seen her love for Baron Corpse, but does she have the qualities of a traitor?
I'll say Yes she does, the main quality of a traitor is the love that his or her character receives, Oda will be or should be focusing on the belief that the must you love a character the least you'll think of him/her as a traitor (Hello Law-Dono).
Wanda staying behind also provides some sort of evidence/reassurance that the person who has the Vivre card has already left Zou, but this works as evidence only If you are one of those who believe that Momonoske should find a way to interact with Zunisha and be able to use his VOAT at will rather than having Kaido's calamities visiting Zou a THIRD time just to find out that every man dream is not on Zou anymore and taking Momo as hostage just to have some sort of 'Save a prince in need' (Jordan 96-97) drama.
Carrot: She’s white, She jumps, and she loves Carrots for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Having the White Rabbit visiting Wonderland is fascinating indeed, she’s happy one second and aggressive the other one, is as If she might be working for a king or something.
Is she as innocent and naive as Oda is depicting her to be? She might, or, might not be the innocent child who has never gone out to sea and is overjoyed with the fact that she’s going to have some fun in visiting a Yonkou territory for the first time in her life or is she overjoyed with the fact that she’s going to be much closer to one of the main objectives of the Yonkous and might be able to gain access to this material without having to wage war over it, I mean, there are only 4 Road Poneglyphs and Neko knows who have them (one is Unknown), I’ll assume that the Yonkous themselves also knows who have the pieces that they’re missing or at least Kaido and Big Mama knows that they each have access to one.
Kaido could be the first Yonkou that might be able to obtain 2 or 3 Road Poneglyphs + the information about Poseidon just to have the Strawhats take everything away from him, his Zoan dream and his dream of reaching Raftel in a set of moves that he himself didn’t take into account the damage that a small group of pirates from the Worst Generation could accomplish in a short amount of time.
Bariete said in ch.824: “But Carrot didn’t want to betray you Wanda!” ( the word betray was actually used three time during the arc and not two as I said above), which Wanda responded with “I was more worried about her being missing”, is Wanda hinting at Carrot having the mischief of going missing from time to time and If so, to Where?
Ninja: Some of the guys mentioned how Raizo might be unwillingly or willingly the traitor who posses the biggest piece of the vivre card that Jackass was following and it sounds extremely plausible since having Raizo be the traitor will have a bigger impact on the inner circle of the Kouzuki Clan and the Minks than having Wanda or Carrot be the traitor, also him being the traitor can be align with Kaido gaining more Road Poneglyphs as well since it seems like Kinemon and company have already been to that specific area of the Island before, but the way Jack acted kinda dismisses the possibility of him doing it willingly and it might be that they took a piece out of the Vivre Card that Raizou used to get to Zou.
It can be as easy as Jackass following the same Vivre card that Raizo followed or it can be as complicated as there being a traitor, either way, we are meant to have a traitor among us sooner or later and we know that Oda starts throwing hints early-on rather than facepalming us with the info.
