@Riquelme:
1. What is your take on gear 4?
I like the incorporation of Kabuki elements, and the power itself seems like a logical step up. It's battle usage is also well done.
I don't like the overall design. I find it off-putting.
And incorporation of Haki… let's just say that the fact that there exists a specific subtype of haki specificaly tailored for Luffy's Devil Fruit powers is... troublesome for me.
@Riquelme:
2. Did Oda meet your expectation seeing that you were fearful of the reveal?
Half-way. It's better than my pessimistic side was expecting, but worse than my optimistic side was hoping for.
@Riquelme:
3. How did you feel when Luffy started slapping Doffy all over the place, was it satisfying?
"Satisfying" is an odd word in this context. I find the fight itself satisfying, because it has dynamic and intesity of old, and I always liked that about One Piece fights.
At the same time, the context for this particular fight is fairly lacking, so I wouldn't say I find Luffy winning over Doflamingo satisfying.
That is to say… I like the fight, but I couldn't care less about the participants.
@Riquelme:
4. Do you think Doffy will be defeated next chapter, or he will find a way to counter Luffy and even out the fight?
It is a formula old as the world of Shonen itself; when the enemy is on the ropes for the first time, he will make a comeback.
@Riquelme:
5. What did you think about Luffy new moves, do you think he as move that are more powerful and creative, what moves come to your mind as a possibility?
I think Oda would not introduce a new gear that operates on such principle if he hadn't thought of more new moves.
I do think the new moves shown thus far are pretty cool.
What comes to mind as possibility…? Using elasticity and pneumatics to create rapid, shortrange punch of great power.
@Riquelme:
6. What did you think about the page with the pirate and marine helping each other, also what about Doffy reaction and answer to the citizen when he gets sent flying to the city?
Reaction was understandable. And why wouldn't marine and pirate work together when the lives of everybodys are at stake?
Piracy is in the end selfserving. There is no point in fighting when it will clearly cost you your lives.
@Riquelme:
7. What did you think about cabbage and law little convo seeing you don't think the world will change much, do you see it happen outside your prediction now?
I don't think we will see any major change to the world until Reverie hits.
I expect mostly a lot of talk about "We will do something soon, just you wait!" from all major players.
I mean… it took us 14 months from where we got the reveal of HQ moving, to learning that the new Fleet Admiral was Sakazuki. And in the same chapter, we learned he was granted unprecendented power. 18 months later, we get two panels of exposition about part of that power, the military draft.
Oda will definetely put a lot of stuff in motion after Dressrosa ends. As for seeing actual consequences, and pay-off to the build up? At least three years to half a decade before it happens.
So yes, my prediction? Plenty of talk, not actual change worth noting.
@Riquelme:
8. What is your prediction for the next chapter?
Doffy's comeback. Possibly putting a lot of pressure on Luffy. Update on Sabo or possibly a page dedicated to Zoro, either might happen. Random shots of citizens running.
@Riquelme:
9.What do you think Fujitora is doing seeing that we haven't seen him for over 3 chapters
Jack shit.
Allow me to be perfectly clear: Oda has humiliated two VA's and created a specific plot line solely for keeping Fujitora out of the game.
If Oda's going to steal Luffy's thunder, it's going to be for Sabo or Zoro, and definetely not Fujitora. At best, he will save the citizens from birdcage, and get completly ignored for the sake of shilling Luffy's win over Doffy.
