So the assumption that Murata is actually writing all the extra is just that, entirely your assumption, not substantiated by actual facts we know, which says otherwise.
I mean, sure, you're free to believe whatever you want, but I'm gonna need a bit more evidence to claim their statements false.

Especially when you know, Murata has NEVER written serialization on his own in his career. Ever. Across all three serializations.
Only time we ever saw Murata as the writer are shorts, every serialization he's ever had in his career were written by someone else. (And even talking about his one shots, half of them had other writers lol.)

Does he have creative inputs? Of course he does, you can't co-produce a manga without it from the artist.
Do we have any evidence of him doing the actual writing of extra story? Not to my knowledge, no.

Sure I cannot.
Simply last chapter feels like something Murata would do on his own, not like cooperation with One. Tournament idea also feels like something that does not fit for current arc and looks "filerish" while there is enough of content from Ones OPM for Murata to draw for years to come.

Though on other hand One and Murata did together that "Cockroach" one shot that was rather bad in my opinion, so maybe its not beyond One to make something just "OK" or not special at all I guess..

Staple or not, it needs to stop at some point. Or at least take a break for a couple of arcs.

Same as time limit before an impending doom, royal families and princesses, allied marines and supportive citizens.

We're at a point where arcs are starting to be too much alike. You can hardly find a theme in Dressrosa that wasn't used in some previous arc in one way or another.

I'm not saying it's easy to write something original, but we could really use a change of pace. If it goes on like this, OP can only get worse. That's just my opinion.

I would enjoy volume or two concentrated only on Kidd alliance and their adventures while advancing through Big Mom territory.
It would make for world building as well as Luffys rival Supernovas being shown a bit more. Not everybody will get as much spotlight as Law(a D) but Kidd imo should get even more attention than Law. He seems to be main rival to Luffy when it comes to Supernovas and no way they will become half as friendly as Law and Luffy gotten.

If Wano is another "island in need of help" then your point on One Piece being too repetitive will be even more evident than it is now..
We had discussion on hunger being problem in Wano some time ago(MK rage mode included lol) so chances are very high "island in crisis" will happen again, I just hope we wont get another princess getting saved all the time.

I would enjoy if this time around princess would be badass fighter.

Okay I guess all of episodes can look like this one - I would be fine with that

One good thing from last chapter is that it added a lot of value to matrial arts techniques being dangerous weapon even if somebody does not have absolute strength.
That bit was pretty cool.

This sounds like bit longer filler than before. And those fillerish chapters werent so great, often feeling detached from Ones OPM.

I don't see what's overly heroic about Saitama visiting his bro in the hospital.

Being a good friend is very much a part of Saitama's character as per ONE's writing.

Not to mention that you're talking about a guy who assassinated his own character in front of a crowd to stop them from belittling Rider and dudes and who's response to King stealing his fame was to instantly forgive him and become buddies. All of that written by ONE. What you criticize in Murata's original scenes is very much in line with that.

And I believe that being a person occasionally capable of minor altruism doesn't make him like a shounen lead, nor does that eliminate his flaws. Maybe if Murata has him deliver lame speeches about protecting his friends or something…

The main problem here is that Murata doesnt have a grasp of Saitama as a character.

He is trying to make Saitama more heroic and shonen-like, the very thing that the original series is parodying. He has done this in the extra episodes and now in the hospital. ONE's Saitama has a ton of flaws that make him interesting (for once he wont give a crap about visiting injured heroes) and Murata is spoiling his charisma by making him act as a goody two shoes.

Cannot agree more.

Saitamas strength is alienating him from people in many ways and Murata is erasing that feeling of Saitama from Ones version with what he does lately.
I hope he gets criticized by many many people and that it will get to him. It might be bit cruel but he is nowehere near Ones skill when it comes to creating characters.

I also dislike Murata creating his own filler heroes as he also lacks creativity and feel for quirky weirdness that One surely has.

Next few episodes will be quite fantastic I guess. Maybe new animated JoJo part 3 isnt perfect but surely Dio part delivers all that I wanted.
