they were talking about burgess.
Oh really ?
I know- it feels like that mysterious persona is by 99% Burgess.
Still Sabo was shown running all the way to palace and now Luffy went off to city to get a sightseeing with Doffy..

I love Gear Fourth's concept and Luffy's new style. Hmm kind of bothered by Luffy joining the bull neck syndicate though.
Law just got his arm back, Cabbage is there and fresh and Sabi it's on his way, Burguess would be doomed, CP0 FTW!!
Against Sabo, anyone is doomed.
Don't get me wrong, I'd actually prefer if it was CP0, since it's a more interesting angle. But then what of Burgess? He split as soon as he realized Mera Mera is gone? I'm not convinced.
It doesn't say it out right but Dofla being unable to defend against Luffy and Koala being so wary of this person/s points out to it being way more than just Jesus Burgess.
She was sweating bullets, Jesus wouldn't be the reason for it.
It's pretty clear Oda is keeping it ambiguous for a reason. There weren't any hints pointing to either side. Koala could sweat like that no matter who it was, if she thought she was in real danger.
I spend a great deal of time asking myself if I forgot a color page from Thriller bark. Was not really a fan of that cover but it mostly claim from founding it weirdly placed.
I think it was due to the Nightmare Luffy like design of Gear 4.
Rublbles dragged by the cage? I'm certain the buildings should simply be cut down. Anyway with that new thing it sure is going to be a pain to reconstruct Dressrosa.
My guess is that the outer building were intact while the inner buildings have started collapsing because of the falling outer buildings.
As a result, while the outer buildings were simply sliced because of being stationary, the inner buildings don't resist the bird cage but move right along with it.
So Law gets his harm back but somehow isn't heal? Either healing-princess is nerfed despite having to help a whole country later or she didn't help him at all making it ridiculous. I'll go with the second option since law comment on being a doctor and Cavendish seems to indicate the merely attach the two.
I don't think Mansherry will be used to heal entire Dressrosa. it would leave no difference between Doflamingo and Riku.
Plus, we haven't seen her do anything much till now. I am not sure why people think she is Pein when all she has done is heal a couple of random mooks with a few bruises.
Considering how more calm Cavendish is I suppose not sleeping make him cranky. He is even able to talk about someone else taking the spotlight without problem. I found funny how Law say that's what they were after when he's been insisting on directing Kaido's anger on Doflamingo. Pride talk I guess.
I bet he is gonna join the alliance for the resulting fame.
In another note I don't see how he came to that conclusion to fight the giant beast as he doesn't become that big and he already had power and strength. Maybe super leaps to get to their heads?
As Doflamingo mentioned, he doesn't have enough power and strength. The beasts on that island were tough and fast. Hence, he developed a technique which increases his strength but is not slow like gear 3.
Oh really ?

The obvious option is Burgess, but it could be someone else we have not seen yet.
I will lol if its Kaidou or Big Mom.
Everyone will then shout together "So that's what Fujitora is for!". :)

Which gives Burguess zero possibillities of success, so why making him look like a loser again?

Kaido or Big Mom need a grand intro I think.
Perhaps Kaidos commander would be possible as super shocker but when we already have Burgess who is also one of Yonkos top man.
So this time I would go for almost "obvious" Burgess though Oda might really suprise me.
Guys… did luffy use Sky Walk(Geppu) or not??
is it possible that it is only a skill of Gear 4?
Guys… did luffy use Sky Walk(Geppu) or not??

Bassically yeah, fuck Sanji, anyone can do that even Nero probably.
783- gear 4hype
387- gear 2
784- gear4 reveal
487- nightmare luffy
587- chapter where Sabo "dies"
785- Sabo dies for real this time?

Guys… did luffy use Sky Walk(Geppu) or not?? during his flying moment
I think he used it. Yay, only 4 more powers to go. Well haki does the same thing as Kami-E and Tekkai.
Bassically yeah, fuck Sanji, anyone can do that even Nero probably.
Does he need to activate Gear 4 before he can use this? because he didnt use that when they are going in the castle
I personally think that it is a Gear 4 only skill
I can't see Oda using Jesus as a vacuum thou
Also I liked how Sai is practically commanding Shinjao and the others already.
I was suprised at Sai but I also liked it
Wonder what his role in future will be. It must be pretty big if he gotten to shine during this arc.
Does he need to activate Gear 4 before he can use this? because he didnt use that when they are going in the castle

It doesn't really matter, G4 will eventually become his normal stuff so yeah he will do it whatever he wants to.
Does he need to activate Gear 4 before he can use this? because he didnt use that when they are going in the castle
I personally think that it is a Gear 4 only skill
for now that appears to be the case. look at the panel where he is flying and examine his feet. he's doing the same thing to the air as he does to Doffy's face.
If it was any longer, they'd call it Golden Fortnight.
How long is the Golden Week break? I remember it being several weeks, but I'm not sure.
Guys… did luffy use Sky Walk(Geppu) or not??
is it possible that it is only a skill of Gear 4?
I think it's a skill he can only use in gear 4. He probably doesn't have as good legs as Sanji.
So he can not use geppo with his normal body. But once he is in the lighter balloon form of gear 4, he can use geppo too.
If it was any longer, they'd call it Golden Fortnight.
Yeah, I think I somehow get it confused because it has seemed longer than it is for some reason.
I don't remember seeing anything like that. The buildings are falling. Maybe a little rubble is dragged along but that' pretty much it.
How is that plot convenience?Zoro is not alone. He will do it along with two Samurais from Wano.
Ah, one random mook was healed of a few bruises. "Established".
It was specifically mentioned by Law how the top tier people have done nothing but wait for a new era since Whitebeard's death.
I think this time it will be different but that's just me being optimistic.I guess people are split on the art. I like the overall goofy design. No real need for new powers to maintain the same face especially if he is made of rubber.
This is bothering me too. But I guess I will wait till it is explained properly.
I am not sure is that was geppo. he didn't name it. It might be some kind of spring action along with lighter than air body. Fits pretty well with the gear.
pretty much all of this except for the sanji stuff. Lots of people in OP can do that so it doesn't make sense that sanji would be the only one to do it. I do think he should have some unique ability though bc as it stands puffy is just an all around better fighter. He can even use fire attacks too.
4 cardinal points = 4 swordmen. Fuji's time to shine!

Return of Puffy!
I think it's not just the force of kicks, but the fact Luffy is like a baloon in G4, so he floats easier. I like the idea that Luffy has multiple forms inside G4 transportation. He might have picked up on the concept from Chopper, maybe even Lucci. He certainly had the time to be creative and to remember all the fights he has witnessed or participated in.
Speaking of Sanji, don't understand why he shouldn't be able to use Rankyaku. The force and speed of his kicks should have long surpassed that of CP9 during Enies Lobby. And he's witnessed it first hand.

So he's got bigger arms than Franky, better legs than Sanji, a more monstrous form than Chopper, …And next chapter we'll probably learn his farts are more toxic than Shi no Kuni. Bet you didn't see that finisher coming, Doflamingo !
Yup, that's our Puffy, Emperor caliber.
Now that we have seen Luffy smack Doffy around, makes me wonder what Sanji and Zoro will be able to do now.
I did not expect Luffy to be as dominant as he is using gear 4.
I want to see Doffy's eyes behind those shades once Luffy has smashed them off his face.

He's not lighter. Where would his mass go? He can't be lighter in Gear Fourth by inflating but add power via additional air-mass in Gear Third.
You mean he's less dense in G4.

lol my laptop autocorrects it to that
Yeah i think its great that Luffy learns from all his battles and doesn't just get a power boost. Not sure why sanji hasn't used that technique yet either bc he probably could use it. I don't think he has any ranged attacks so it certainly would be useful. Maybe he will use something like that in the next arc.

lol yeah. Man i love the end of Arcs, sure the journey is nice, but these types of chapters and the conclusion of the arcs and then the bounty reveal ones are probably my favorite. Shouldn't be a dull chapter for a while

I think that's one of those were it's on much you can push your suspension of disbelief. Seing how Dofla's string have cut everything without problem I consider the whole rubbles to be useless drama and inconsistent.
I don't think Mansherry will be used to heal entire Dressrosa. it would leave no difference between Doflamingo and Riku.
I always hated that argument that if you do the same action as the bad guy you are like him. Must be why action movie get so much on my nerves on the last minutes.
Riku already said they would need her to repair the damage once done.
Plus, we haven't seen her do anything much till now. I am not sure why people think she is Pein when all she has done is heal a couple of random mooks with a few bruises.

You believe those beast are too fast for him to land his gear third punches? He could simply get on them in gear second and punch them in third. They are so big that it would be pretty difficult to miss. Plus he mentioned the size being somehow useful when scale wise it changes nothing.
G4 in a nutshell
Very fucking satisfying chapter.
Finally I can drive on the highway with my all new Manual LuffyCar:
(with All new Photoshop skillz)
!

!
It's pretty clear Oda is keeping it ambiguous for a reason. There weren't any hints pointing to either side. Koala could sweat like that no matter who it was, if she thought she was in real danger.
Is Being kept ambiguous for a reason, but I'm pretty sure that Jesus ain't the mysterious person/s and I have to disagree on that comment about Koala.
So glad I stayed off the spoiler threads this time. I wanted to see this in it's raw form and yep, it doesn't dissapoint. Yeah the design threw me off for a bit, but then I remember this is Oda were talking about. And very true to Luffy's nature as well, it looks silly but still packs a punch. Love the Lucci call back there too, only this time it's not a one hit show then back to the previous gear. No, Gear 4th is like a walking bouncing arsenal with a lot of new tricks. Especially love that Doflamingo catches on the strenghts of the form as well, so he does have a brain when it comes to combat. Good to know.
So we got another chapter before we break for Golden Week I suppose. So I guess Luffy will bat him around a bit, Doflamingo gets serious and showcase some moves that'll turn the tide back in his favor. Then after the break, the true final showdown of powers.
I don't really like the idea of Sanji doing a Rankyaku, just because it's gonna be just another generic slash. If he were to pick up something else from Rokushiki, I'd prefer him doing a Shigan with his legs.
Well, tbh, I rather like nor dislike the Gear 4 Style. Its looking good, on the good old Goofy OP Way, but the attacks are in need of getting used too. I wonder how exactly the last Attack in this Chapter works and could someone please explain me, what exactly happens on Page 13 (Mangastream), bottom right Panel?
Dofla cant beat or even hurt Luffy atm, but Iam sure that he will fight serious in the next Chapter and an epic Fight, with a fantastic Finisher of Luffy, awaits us in the next 5-10 Chapters.
I hope for Luffy that he can recover his Sandals after this Fight. :ninja:
And Dofla is a freaking Tank. Those hard attacks, three in Number, had no big effect on him. I think that those attacks would tickle Kaidou.
Is Being kept ambiguous for a reason, but I'm pretty sure that Jesus ain't the mysterious person/s and I have to disagree on that comment about Koala.
Well, it's within your right to disagree, but Burgess can't be disqualified based on the shape of Koala's sweat.
He's not lighter. Where would his mass go? He can't be lighter in Gear Fourth by inflating but add power via additional air-mass in Gear Third.
You mean he's less dense in G4.
That's exactly what I meant. Thanks for correcting me.
I don't really like the way it looks but I'm liking the new variations on attacks. It's a combination of different things and not just a straight up generic stat boost upgrade. G2/G3/Haki/Bellamy springs/CP9 Geppou/Balloon Luffy with a Nightmare Luffy/Kabuki/Gorilla hybrid design.
Law got trolled this chapter. Cavendish put him down to watch the fight his been waiting his whole life to see. Luffy then knocks Doflamingo away.
I wonder if he named the attacks after the beasts he defeated.
I was suprised at Sai but I also liked it
Wonder what his role in future will be. It must be pretty big if he gotten to shine during this arc.
I'm one of those guys that think that the Strawhats won't be like the Whitebeards that each commander has a fleet under them, but they'll be just a pirate crew with a bunch of friend that will die for them if the situation requires it.
What I found weird is that G4 attacks don't come with a specific suffix. g2->jet / g3-> gigant / g4->…
I know higher tensile strength allows a material to deform better. I know only the basics, though.
Higher tensile strength does not allow a material to deform better. Such as cast Iron Steel versus industrial steel. Cast Iron is very strong, but also very brittle and will snap before deforming too much. Industrial steel will experience necking/narrowing around the point which it will be pulled apart.
Puddy can deform and has almost no tensile strength. Tensile strength has nothing to do with how well a material will handle being pulled apart. Carbon Fiber doesnt deform, it just snaps, it is very brittle, but also very strong.
Well, it's within your right to disagree, but Burgess can't be disqualified based on the shape of Koala's sweat.
Jesus wasn't even a contender to begin with, at least Issho has a purpose lol
damn gear 4 is so awesome
I don't really like the idea of Sanji doing a Rankyaku, just because it's gonna be just another generic slash. If he were to pick up something else from Rokushiki, I'd prefer him doing a Shigan with his legs.
Sanji doesn't need any Rokushiki bs outside of Blue Walk.
I think that's one of those were it's on much you can push your suspension of disbelief. Seing how Dofla's string have cut everything without problem I consider the whole rubbles to be useless drama and inconsistent.
I think someone else said the same. But I don't understand how there has been any more drama. The buildings were being sliced to pieces first. now it's becoming rubble.
People would have run before, they are running now. What exactly has changed?
I always hated that argument that if you do the same action as the bad guy you are like him. Must be why action movie get so much on my nerves on the last minutes.
Riku already said they would need her to repair the damage once done.
Then if she can't heal much in the first place I don't see how she is going to be useful. No reason she couldn't do the same she's done for the books or was going to do for Kyros or the officers.
There's also Riku and Doflamingo confidence in her powers.
Well, it's more about how much you use someone. It has already been hinted how her own life force is the cost here. A benevolent king using a princess's life force too much doesn't appeal to me. Maybe she will use emergency medical treatments to the serious cases like Law and bellamy. But apart from that, I would prefer it to be mostly like Arabasta. People will rebuild instead of using Mansherry.
You believe those beast are too fast for him to land his gear third punches? He could simply get on them in gear second and punch them in third. They are so big that it would be pretty difficult to miss.
My mistake. It was shown in the Anime how the beasts were fast for Luffy.
But still, I think Rayleigh mentioned how there more than 500 beasts on the island too strong for Luffy to defeat.
Plus he mentioned the size being somehow useful when scale wise it changes nothing.
That's probably just Mangastream being Mangastream. Better to wait for the powermanga guys.
Where's Kouch_Lee, I wanna see his take on this.
My take on the chapter is that I liked it. I won't deny Gear 4th's design is a complete handful. . .but at the same time, it's so Oda. Kabuki influenced? Looks like a furious Deva? Recoiling punches that look like a Megaman Blaster? Bouncing around like a beach ball after kicking Doflamingo (and sending him between Pica's golem legs)? It was good stuff all around. It's just, the design could use a tweak here and a tweak there.
As the main event, it delivered. It had a massive chance of being underwhelming or not living up to the hype, and there was insane and even a bit unfair levels of hype and expectations. With that in mind, the fact I laughed during the chapter, that I genuinely enjoyed the action, it's more than enough for me.
The rest of the chapter is more standard fare, but I liked it. I liked we were reminded of the storm that'll come after this, and that Zoro will try to stop the cage.
And finally, I gotta say the colorspread, while random as hell, is one of the best he's done recently. I wasn't too hot lately on Oda's spreads, but this one was really funny, colourful, entertaining and engaging. Even crazy, I mean, Sanji is getting eaten by a friggin' zombie lady, there's the Thriller dance in the background, a severed zombie head hovering in the air and Robin nonchalantly feeding grapes to a zombie that just popped its head from the ground beneath? Man, it's just bonkers. And I loved it.
I don't really see the problem with the design at all . Luffy has always come up with the most random , silly and weird forms of attacks so it matches his personality and mindset perfectly .
Well, it's within your right to disagree, but Burgess can't be disqualified based on the shape of Koala's sweat.
But it does based on which confrontation is important enough to being kept a secret this far;
Sabo ridiculizing Burguess or two major forces of the world clashing at the very end Revos vs CP0
I vote for the 2nd option and Burguess will be somewhere muahaha'ing about what the New World is gonna be like for the next days.
I don't get the negativity on Gear 4th, I personally LOVE IT. I think it'll be refined more and I would speculate that 5th is probably the last one before an emperor/blackbeard.
@Doffy.:
I don't really see the problem with the design at all . Luffy has always come up with the most random , silly and weird forms of attacks so it matches his personality and mindset perfectly .
remember 3rd gear? we were all wtf. (admittedly i still don't love it like I do with 2nd) but 4th is by far my favorite thing about luffy's powers. I usually don't give a f**k about his fights too but i'm very into this one.
It might have been said before (and if so, I'm sorry) but the words in the back of Zoro at the color spread are a very popular saying in Spanish. It reads "El que ríe de (al) último, ríe mejor." It translates "He whom laughs last, laughs better." It means that in a circumstance when you're losing, your adversary shouldn't feel like he's won because maybe in the end things might change.
BTW, great chapter. It feels short, but of course I would feel the same even if it had 50 pages
Apparently chapter 378 is nightmare Luffy.
Of correct its not reversed but similar number
