Yeah, I'm of the opinion that Doffy won't die but that Law will at least show interest in killing a prone Doffy in the next few chapters.

Fuji will probably step in to claim Doflamingo and use him in his case for the abolishment of the shichibukai system.

I personally don't mind what Oda does tbh there are so many options at this point:

Captured by Marines/Burgess/Revolutionaries.
Death and Fruit is captured by Burgess by his bag of tricks, Luffy then takes it from him while he fights Sabo - Would be a great fruit for Sanji. Lol
Can't really see Burgess coming out of this arc in good shape with how outnumbered he is.
Escape is still possible for Doffy

I guess it depends on just how hard Luffys King Kong hit him, if it hit him like it did the island it could have finished him off.

He would be buried under the rubble.

Yeah I have a feeling that Zoro is not that far behind Luffy even though Luffy has gotten much stronger over the TS. Maybe comparable to pre TS difference in their strength maybe a little less than that. This just makes me feel disappointed for Sanji cuz it looks like he didn't do all that much hopefully he takes down the Big Mom ship.

He will have his chance, personally I would have liked to see him have a fair fight with Vergo but Oda clearly wanted Luffy to have his big fight before Sanji or Zoro.

Tbh I think Doffy may be to useful a character for Oda to actually outright kill off like Crocodile and Enel was, I can't see Luffy putting him down so it would have to be the damage already inflicted by Law or Law actually physically finishing him off on panel.

However the Rayleigh flashback hints to something else Luffy might have in store for the future, and I like that. Luffy didn't just pull gear four out of thin air and then another mode maybe out of thin air too. Luffy had a legit reason to ccome up with something new and it was thought of in the time skip.

Yeah Oda clearly has no problem in having Luffy hold back moves until they are absolutely necessary otherwise the fights would be over too quickly and the suspense would be gone, I am sure he must have some other new animal based moves and maybe a Gear 5 but I doubt we will see that until an Admiral/Yonkou fight, all Luffy needs to do is remove the recovery requirement from Gear 4 and he is set for anything and anyone except for the Admirals and Yonkous.

He has a nice mix of Gears now with moves that cover a wide spectrum of needs, I expect the next arc may shine a light on Zoro and perhaps Sanji though.

I don't expect the WG to be able to cover this up and thus Luffy's wanted value will increase accordingly.

He isn't Admiral level quite yet, I would place him between Vice Admiral and Admiral now, how close to one or the other depends on which Admirals you use as examples.

I suspect he may have other new attacks too, just think, he could have used King Kong against Hody and the fight would have been over before it began or even against the ship Noah, but Oda did not write it that way for obvious plot reasons.

All Luffy needs to do is find a way to be more effecient with haki and remove the time limit for gear 4 and he will be set.

Must admit he needs to be more ruthless though when fighting he gives the enemies too much leeway and that is not a good idea in the new world, of course Oda writes it that way to keep the tension high I know but it is a bit of a glaring mistake sometimes especially when lives are on the line, I can live with not it though as it is needed for plot reasons.

Liked the chapter a lot, plus the finale was good, that king Kong is an island buster which makes me think he may end up using that same attack on Fishman Island.

Would definitely shatter the island and I think it would smash the Noah (giant ship) to pieces as well.

As for the dress up at the beginning of the issue I think Zoro is meant to be Bavaria in Germany as he is wearing the right clothes and colours and Franky is Swedish/Swiss mainly due to how he has his hair in the picture. It definitely doesn't scream China at all.

Me too, I like Fujitora and can appreciate the pickle he is in and why he has chosen to take no serious action so far.

He strikes me as a very patient man who likes to test the water and understand which way the wind is blowing before he takes action.

His performance so far has been very measured and even on Dressrosa.

So, let's see Viola is a dancer (or can dance) and Doffy has his rape face ready.

I predict he's going to use parasite and make Viola twirl around and do the Flamenco style dance (Yes, this is Doflamingo's favorite dance) while slashing herself with the knife she drew and as she twirls about blood spurts around. As she slashes herself her dress comes undone in certain place, and that cleavage… (lol, I'm kidding) and then he drops that line as she dances on helplessly "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" Would be an iconic scene and he could kill her slowly to draw out the heroes, namely Luffy. Cavendish comes to save the day, possibly as Hakuba. And rides off with Farul (his horse who temporarily recovered from Mansherry's fairy dust).

I think Doffy will go to kill her and Luffy will stop him. Then finally for the love of god put the f**cker down.

Must say the negativity about the chapter is especially strong this week, I can appreciate that many (me included) want things to move a bit faster but Oda is clearly happy to take his time so there's no point complaining as it won't make any difference.

787 is the chapter when Sabo kicked JB's ass, Oda is amazing because it's a throwback to the reverse chapter number where Sabo also kicks JB's ass. Can't believe Oda mapped it out from all those years ago. That's Goda for you.

Nicely planned out, also I don't think Luffy needs to use Gear 4 again tbh, a red hawk to the chest should do it, at this point I think a haki fart in Doffy's direction will do it as well.

Will be interesting to see if Sabo defeats Burgess outright or if Burgess runs away somehow, let's be honest he's a git who pounces on those who are injured to steal their df's. I hope Sabo defeats him and Fujitora takes him to Impel Down, would be poetic justice for Ace.
