you know, the same pussy after 20 years become almost boring too. and it's not a pussy's fault, it's just you getting accustomed to it.
As original a simile as this is, let's make it your last one along those lines.

Ah, but it only the case when they make no effort to change.

According to Shueisha website, they will start selling ONE PIECE character figures of Wano Country arc in October.
It seems strawhats will arrive in Wano by that time…source: http://www.shonenjump.com/j/jumpcalendar/2015/10/
!

Wow, if it's not just Shueisha being silly with names, this is pretty interesting news.
Thanks sandman!
-
Wano this soon? I had hoped there will be a bit of a breather arc in between.

Wano this soon? I had hoped there will be a bit of a breather arc in between.
There's still 8 months until that happens (if that month is the start of the arc, of course), and I'm not seeing the fights lasting even half of that… so there will likely be something in between (Zou).
-
It's kinda difficult to see how Oda is going to literally squeeze all the Arcs together and try to finish OP in let's say around 10 more years?! We still got Zou, Wano, Elbaf and coming back to "destroy" fishman island arcs. Along with that, we got Yonkou fights, Raftel and then the final war. ALL of this in ten years will be quite a hectic one.
-
This arc needs to end soon, it became a drag, no more fun or at least no lately.
Oda needs to invent or show us something new, something new to look forward too.
I know some of you are just catching up to the series and all hot about it, but as an old fan, it's getting .. it's just not fun anymore.
another thing is, as the years pass by, you can't endure the silliness anymore.
well, now i got that of my chest, move on nothing to see here :) One piece used to be fun.
I get this feeling when reading One Piece chapter by chapter. Volume by Volume is tons better. That's when One Piece really shines. However, I do agree that this arc is simply too much. A lot of stuff could have been abbreviated or perhaps cut.

The fact that Wano merchandise will be sold at October means that Wano characters are already introduced, so by October we will likely be a decent way into Wano.
With this in mind, Wano might start at September or August, at the very least. Now we're not even done with Dressrosa ( I suspect we have 10 or 15 chapters left ) And add the numerous Oda breaks to that… I doubt we'll have time for a breather, but we will see.

Where was it stated Oda would finish the story in 10 years? Remember when Oda teased fans about the SH crew going to one of three islands, pre punk hazard? The path of the SH crew is never clear. So im not believing this "news". Once again about the story's path being unpredictable, what if the SH crew don't return to FI island? This would be another example of everything doesn't go as fans may expect.

From sandman's Oda's Interviews thread:
Editor Onishi: ONE PIECE is 60-70% done and it will probably finish within 10 years.
Interview with editor Onishi at ONE PIECE exhibition in Taiwan (2014)

We know for a fact that Shirley's premonition comes true and for some reason Luffy will come back to destroy Fishman Island and utilize the Noah for a purpose.

Even if it's not an arc itself, I think they won't go directly to Wano but to another place (Zo is likely). And I still wonder how Oda is going to deal with the Sanji team. Kidnapped? Reunion? Who knows.
-
I think the "wano arc figures" might refer to Kanjuro and the other samurai that is currently on Zou. Those two + new Kinemon and momo(kid and dragon form) figures and you have a nice Wano set.
-
If what you're inferring from that website is true then we'd have like around 30 chapters until Wano. I could maybe see that. 15 chapters of dressrosa max left? 15 for Zou and stuff? Maybe.

Are you sure they're not just referring to Kinemon, Momo, and Kanjuro?
Even then, we already knew we were going to Wano soon since Oda's notebook for the arc was accidentally shown in a picture of his office.

The direct translation of ワノ国 (Wano kuni) is Wano Country, so I''m gonna go out on a limb and say they're talking about the arc rather than Kinemon's group.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that site also usually talk about figures of particular arcs? -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that site also usually talk about figures of particular arcs? The first Dressrosa figures included Law, Mihawk & new look Perona so I wouldn't be surprised if this line includes post-skip Drake & Caribou.
But I think MasterKingJC is correct and we may see Kinemon or Momo. Even Pekoms is possible as I think the OP Styling line likes to play catch-up with the end of last-arc characters. I'm hoping for at least one new character.I don't think Oda would be so cruel as to leave Sanji fans hanging forever and there's Zou as well. Maybe that'll be more like Little Garden or Jaya in length.

I highly doubt we'll be in Wano by then. There is just too much to cover beforehand. Since the characters will have been out for a while by then they're probably releasing Kinemon, Kanjuro, and Momonosuke (human/dragon) figures.

I recently just went to the source and it seems the web had omitted the first 2 items in the screenshot, including that Wano figure art. Now it's only those figure arts from Banpresto's contest in October's schedule. I checked out other month's schedule as well but found no Wano figure art. Please CMIIW.

There isn't too much to cover, Oda already had a Wano notebook ready, and there are already Kinemon and Momonosuke figures.
-
Zou will probably take 5 chapters max. Zou sounds like Law hideout so there's no reason to have 10 chapters in there.

There's also the reason why Kinemon was going there, so there should be more
-
Hmmmm, it looks like there is possibility (or rumor) that Dressrosa arc going to end within upcoming summer and Wa no Kuni arc going to start after that.
-

Yeah, but I don't think that whatever it is needs more than 3 chapters to be explained. Sanji's little adventure can be covered in 2 chapters too.
I'd love to have "lets breathe a little" arc but after this arc is done, I don't think the Strawhats will have an easy time sailing around anymore.

They still have to find the 3rd Samurai.

April is Spring.

OOPS!
Looks like there might be some truth in Wano starting soon if they omitted it stealthily like that.@Kaizou:

So around 15-20 chapters of Dressrosa left. Seems about right around my expectations.

We don't need an arc for that.
April is Spring.
So….

What source? Is this from the upcoming figure leak? I dunno, but has anything like this happened before? We already have 3 characters from Wano, I don't think it's safe to say the figures are based on something Shueisha is trying to hide.

It is announced that the merchandise which relate to Wa no Kuni going to release on upcoming October. This information kind of give possiblity that Wa no Kuni arc going to start before October (which means Dressrosa arc is near the end).

Well Zou is the island next to Dressrosa and we get Law's crew and the last samurai. If we don't get a breathe here Idoubt we'll ever get it.

It was announced that there are figures coming out of the three Wano characters we already met. This doesn't suggest anything.

There is no such thing as Sanji's small adventure. Half of the SH crew vs yonkou's crew can't be in 2 chapters.
Even Zou could turn out important. Punk Hazard din't scream importance, but it was long and related to Doflamingo.
-
Sorry Dressrosa, I'm already waiting for Wano Country arc.
So if Zou is Law's base, woould Sanji and co be there?
-

So if Zou is Law's base, woould Sanji and co be there?
Doubtful, since that would probably reveal the location to Big Mom.
-
Of what interest would it be to her though? There is literary no connection between the Heart and Big Mom pirates afaik.
-
@uniaka:

Why can this not be covered in 2 chapter exactly? Because they've been gone for 30+?
Not to you!
Even Zou could turn out important. Punk Hazard din't scream importance, but it was long and related to Doflamingo.
An Island that Law's crew is staying at, and is where the strawhats will be at after they make the New World shake. Everything screams that this island is a "lets chill island/refugee island".
Punk Hazard an Island not registered by the log pose and had the WG + Marine sign right at the door didn't scream important to you…. Neat
-
@Monkey:

Not three characters already introduced, they going to release figures from the characters for Wa no Kuni arc.
-

She destroyed the country because it wouldn't give her sweets. There is no connection right now, but if she knows they are allied to Straw Hats… well.
-
Why can this not be covered in 2 chapter exactly? Because they've been gone for 30+?
So we have half of the SHs on one hand, and enemies related to the main story plot on the other hand.
As long as much less important characters got more then that, there is no way 2 chapters would cover that.
Zou itself could be the new fighting ground. SH escaped to Zou, but Big Mom's pirates followed them.
Kaidou's men could be on Zou, more Big mom's men could be there. There's nothing the points out to short regroup arc.Zou itself could start the plot for Wano Country, same way Punk Hazard did for Dressrosa.
-
There isn't too much to cover, Oda already had a Wano notebook ready, and there are already Kinemon and Momonosuke figures.
We have the end of Dressrosa, the group on the Sunny, and Zou to get through before Wano. I can't see all that being over by the time October rolls around. Plus we have breaks and curve balls in the plot to factor in. I don't think Wano is happening until next year.
Also, where did you hear about Oda having a Wano notebook? I'd be interested in learning about that.
-
@Kaizou:

Alright can you guys actually quote the original source here. Because the idea that the figurine people of all people have insider knowledge about stuff ahead of time in the black and white manga is the kind of hilarious wishful thinking that makes terrible speculations.

Everyone is related to the main story, that some have more importance than other is another thing.
As long as much less important characters got more then that, there is no way 2 chapters would cover that.
Are you talking about the allies+ that replaced Sanji + co?
Zou itself could be the new fighting ground. SH escaped to Zou, but Big Mom's pirates followed them.
Kaidou's men could be on Zou, more Big mom's men could be there. There's nothing the points out to short regroup arc.Dude we have an arc packed with everything and you think that Oda will do the same thing with the next Island when is clear enough that this Island sounds more like a "lets chill/Regroup/Planning Island" than a "Ohh Ohh more fighting Island".
Zou itself could start the plot for Wano Country, same way Punk Hazard did for Dressrosa.
Starting a plot for an arc doesn't require a large arc, it just requires to set the plan in motion of what we're doing next, pretty simple.
-
We have the end of Dressrosa, the group on the Sunny, and Zou to get through before Wano. I can't see all that being over by the time October rolls around
There are only 3-4 fights left in Dressrosa and we're done. The fights with the executives are only going to be one chapter (Zoro vs Pica could potentially get 2). The only big plot line left is the destruction of the factory, and that won't take long.
The group on the Sunny and Zou will be handled together and Zou is not going to be long. It was not meant to be. We have more than enough time for this.
Plus we have breaks and curve balls in the plot to factor in. I don't think Wano is happening until next year.
One break every 3-4 chapters isn't going to hinder the plot to that great of an extent.
