When the Communist Party of my country starts to use images of anime to make campaigns, something very wrong is happening.

Ya blushing teenage girls is really what the communist party needed.
-
Moe anime is a great example of communism because it really means "Marxism Over Everything." Plus, the deluge of moe anime is simply a result of the collective will of the people asking for more and getting less
-
The reddish blushing of the cheeks symbolize the slow, but steady, spread of glorious communism.
Symbolism!

A Conservative Christian is rewriting Harry Potter:
http://www.examiner.com/article/conservative-christian-rewriting-harry-potter-so-kids-won-t-turn-into-witches?cid=rssThere's a link to read it on fanfiction.net. I think this is the first time I've seen a link to fanfiction.net in a real news article.
I'm almost positive this is a troll fan fic anyway lol. Reading about what's in it, I honestly can't imagine a person would seriously do this.

I'd be scared of them. I mean, Kyubey! That's scary shit!

How do you "breathe new life" into a song that's only barely three years old? And for that matter how is a three year old song already a "great diva classic?"
That said, Aretha might have better backing and clapping in her version, and some "aint no mountain high enough" randomly… but I swear I can't understand a single word she's saying.

Any courses that alter AP curriculum won't count for college credit so they'd also be screwing the kids and parents on this.

lol the broader implications of history censorship to promote patriotism are far, far more alarming and disgusting.
Also nobody cares what curriculum was taught for college credit. The only thing that matters is your AP Test scores. Which, sure, might go down if you don't learn the right stuff. But I got AP credit for courses I didn't take because I still signed up for the AP Test and owned it. Similarly, my AP Bio teacher suddenly quit 2 weeks into the year and we got a replacement teacher weeks later who taught us out of the Cliff Notes book to try to make up for lost time.
-
We've already had discussions on the topic of censorship via revisionism glossing over history though thanks to Texas. This is a new situation altogether because people are taking to the streets over it.
It's a battle that conservatives have already lost. The College Board said outright that the new courses wouldn't count. So the parents would be paying for ineligible courses.

Confirmed by the CDC sadly.

I didn't read the story but the reviews seemed mixed. A few take the same view as you, the story is actually a joke. But a lot of reviews seem to think the author is serious in wanting to rewrite the series. Which is funny in itself as fanfiction is a rewriting of the series no matter what way you tackle it

**It's kinda sad to see that the majority of the brazilian political parties are homophobic….
The repercussion of Dilma is bad (one reason is that she has spent more building a harbor in Cuba than in Brazil). Yet she is in front in the polls.
Let´s see how things will go next sunday.**

Is this one true or a hoax?
Yeah,I just heard about this and it's unfortunate. It'll be contained and hopefully it wasn't spread any further than 1 person but everyone that came in close contact with that person should get tested just in case. I'm worried about developments in west Africa still.

I don't have any memories of the food from the one time I was at the fair when I was 8, but I don't think the quality of the food stopped me from really enjoying the whole thing.
In other news, has anybody been paying attention to the recent protests in Hong Kong over the sham of a "democracy plan" Beijing is trying to force down their throats? They're apparently the hugest protests Hong Kong has had since it became Chinese and they're only going to get bigger. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-29430229

**The elections will happen on sunday (10/5), I got to say that this year's presidential race is intense, I don't know who is going to be president (I hope is not Dilma again, but I know she will win).

Are you implying every manner of things in existence deep fried is unhealthy for you? Surely you jest.
-
Technically, what kills you can't make you unhealthier, which is why if I didn't go at least 500 times over the daily lipid intake limit, I don't feel healthy enough.
-

Deep frying is a perfectly valid way to cook some things but fairs cross the line.
-
Eh, maybe I didn't make it clear.
It was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, as in, dipping everything conceivable to man couldn't possibly go wrong.I was being sarcastic.
Still have yet to see bacon wrapped in bacon stuffed in bacon sandwitched in bacon with butter and cheese fillings, deep fried. Then wrapped in another layer of bacon. And second-dipped.
Should give you instant heart failure. -

Comes with a free Diet Coke.

Yeah, I know. I was agreeing with your main point really; probably should have just posted the video and been done with it.

That's probably a regular menu item at Denny's these days.

You know what kind of governmental action sends SERIOUS ALARM BELLS?
How about planning to withdraw from international human rights legislation and replacing it with your own?
Because that's what our Prime Minister is proposing. It doesn't even feel like a joke anymore that this current administration wants to be the New Victorian British Empire.

"Why couldn't you have mixed up the vials with another _white_ person?"

@Purple:
"We're suing because we're racists and we don't know how to raise a kid like this in an all white community"
I wouldn't say they're racists but what exactly are they suing for? They got the wrong donor race, sure, but they were reimbursed for it and they got a nice healthy baby that they love.
They seem genuinely worried about raising their child in a 'culturally insensitive' all white community rather than worried about raising a mixed baby. In fact, they seem to love her very much. If they feel the community is too culturally impaired and the environment might harm the child's upbringing they can move to a more culturally diverse area, but honestly, is the community really that bad off where you can't raise a mixed child there without facing reprucussions beyond the normal race related issues minorities face in America everyday?
Is it really?
Of course, I can see the benefits for any child being raised in a "culturally diverse" community rather than a completely homogeneous one.

Basically their whole argument is "It's tough to raise a kid when they're not white here, the mom basically has no sense of other ethnicities so having an ethnic baby is really hard for us."
Yeah sure the neighborhood around might not be too welcoming, but their whole perspective is "they need to compensate us because raising a child outside our ethnicity is just really difficult. I even had to take my daughter to a black neighborhood just to get her hair done!"
-
If you can sue becaue it's tough to raise a baby in conditions you find challenging then I wonder how many unexpected teen moms might have taken it upon themselves to try and sue over a broken condom.
At least they weren't trying to become pregnant though.
The couple with the mixed baby was so…
(Somewhere in my comment I might have just said something stupidly insensitive and if I did, apologies.)
