Tbh, I'd be quite happy if someone would manage to completely shut down mangapanda scanlations.
Regarding Spoilers, Scanlations and the Official Release of Weekly Shonen Jump.

I love spoilers, when I first started reading/watching one piece I would always ask friends about future events, read the wikis statuses etc. I'm talking about hundreds of chapters before I got up to the mentioned parts.
I remember when I was at around chapter 300 and I read that Ace was deceased on the Wiki, I was like "no way". Yet it still gave me the same emotional impact every time I watched or read it and it's been close to two years since I first saw it. I also cried a bit today when I watched a video of Ace. (just tears coming out, not full on crying lol).
Personally I don't think people should Bitch about being spoilt. I read Sabo being at Dressrosa in the spoiler thread, there's nothing wrong with having a reaction before you actually read the chapter as you would have the same feeling when reading the actual chapter.
If anything being spoilt for an epic event only makes you even more and more excited going into the epic part, you also don't believe it even though you know.
As for scanlations and release dates I don't see a problem with Avoiding spoilers for one day. It's simple, don't think about it, keep yourself busy and don't read messages from people that you think would spoil you. Making One Piece Someones life allows them to be spoilt. -

I remember avoiding chapters for 2 weeks, never got spoiled once, it's possible but hey, doesn't ruin the quality of the chapter

Why can't people read scanlations to keep up, and still support VizMedia and/or any other official releases in their country?
Viz still gets your money, and you can keep up with your friends. -
Tbh, I'd be quite happy if someone would manage to completely shut down mangapanda scanlations.
Even if you wipe away scum, it eventually comes right back. Mangapanda at their finest.

Be respectful in here: the OP is searching for a solution to a fair problem and isn't being rude about it.
How do you know to avoid looking at anything One Piece related for a week if you don't know that spoilers (BIG spoilers) will be out there?
How could the manga fan community go about educating readers about magazine release dates?
Because people not knowing any better & tweeting the mangaka about chapters that haven't been released yet is and HAS been a big problem.Honestly, I second Duschein's suggestion. Asking friends who read the spoilers to let you know in advance to stay away from OP-related fangroups for a while is a personal solution,
But you may wish to consider creating and subscribing to spoiler-free fangroups if that's what it's gotta take. If you've gotta put the word out to tell people not to spoil you, do that too.The nature of the internet makes a lot of that other stuff a fair bit unrealistic.
-
Spoilers don't really bother me, but I do admit spoilers for One Piece now are more of a problem then they ever have been. It's gotten so popular now that looking at spoilers is basically as easy as breathing for fans.
-
Since I've come to accept that young society is an unsalvageable cluster of selfish nits who demand instant gratification and have no self-control and/or patience to speak of, I've cared less and less about spoilers actually existing.
A wise man once said, "Whatevs."
But it would be nice if the individuals seeking spoilers weren't also grossly ignorant to reality.
Avoiding spoilers? No problem. I can do that. I don't bother visiting OP sites or check other individuals' public online social postings when it's time for the illegal scanlations to be released. That's easy enough.
What I cannot avoid are sieve-heads from around the world tweeting or DMing me, "WhY Do U thInk Oda DiD XYZ????"
I took care of the problem easily enough on Facebook by just blocking all One Piece fans but for shitty (but essential) social network hubs like Twitter don't have those safety blocks.
Apprehending the criminal (yes criminal) who scans the factory prints would be wonderful. But that's not going to happen just yet so for now, the best thing to do is to attempt to educate the ignorant and selfish masses.
Also, it doesn't help when an equal number of people actually post that people should avoid spoilers when a ripe one is making the rounds. That just promotes discussion which leads to more crap. If you read the spoiler or illegal scanaltion, great, be happy and discuss it in designated locations. But there's absolutely no need to run to a second or third party who you haven't even confirmed whether they've read the chapter or not and say, "WASN'T THIS AMAZING WHEN XXXXX HAPPENED!?", other than to be a know-it-all show off for 15 minutes of internet fame.

Firstly I'm going to request that this remains a spoiler free thread given the release of Chapter 731.
Now, I'd like to think that AP is generally more educated on the relationship between "Scanlations" and the Official release of the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine, but just incase I'll run it down for everyone.
Shonen Jump magazine gets released on Mondays officially in Japan. Viz's Weekly Shonen Jump release is usually simultaneous with the Japanese release (but they don't adjust for Japanese holidays).
Scanlators get their scans whenever a retailer in Japan puts the magazine on the shelf early and someone uploads it online. Magazines generally get delivered to stores about 5 days early, but they aren't supposed to sell it until the official date (usually every Monday). Over the christmas holidays and whenever there is a Monday break(holiday), the magazine would be have a street date on a Saturday prior so that means that scanlations will come out even earlier in the following weeks (possibly Monday or Tuesday) before the 2 week hiatus in January. This week's leaked scanlation of Chapter 731 has really been a game-changer in my opinion towards those who read scanlations. Personally I've taken a 180 on my stance to this issue and I think that Viz should go after scanlators in a more aggressive manner in a similar fashion to February 2012 and the MangaStream. Particularly MangaPanda who have no regard for any morals and ethics since they've pretty much rip off other scanlating groups for the revenue they make from that ad-ridden site of theirs.
Upon gazing Twitter for the last few days I've seen countless Japanese fans (and thats just the few that know English) along with Viz readers agonise over spoilers thanks to the leaks of the chapter by scanlators. I think Greg and The One Piece Podcast can vouch for this as well. On a related note, I'm a moderator of /r/OnePiece and we had to start clamping down on spoilers from 12 hours prior to the release and the I personally spent 36 hours (and cans of Mother's and Redbull) making sure spoilers didn't impact readers of the Official release as well as the readers of the simultaneous magazine. As of right now we've deleted over 80 threads and countless comments trying to prevent spoilers.
To prevent these situations occurring in the future what do you think is the middle ground on this scenario. In my opinion, I think the middle ground is having Viz force scanlators to follow their release schedule or face the threat of being shut down. As such this will allow both aspects of the fandom to experience the release in a timely fashion without the issue of spoilers.
Now, I'd like to ask you on your opinion on the issue of scanlations and spoilers, and if it is available to you in your country do you still support Viz's WSJ even regardless of whether or not you read scanlations. Also what do you think would be the best compromise to pervent situations like this week's spoilerfest.
Personally, I read the scanlations first, then read WSJ when they come out. I don't think that's much of a problem. In fact, so long as the fan supports One Piece in their country (be it graphic novels, anime, merch, or WSJ), it shouldn't matter whether they read scanlations.
-
Someone already spoiled the biggest shocker for me since I started reading One Piece, damage is done at this point. There's maybe 2 other moments in future events where there will be a shock as big as this one for me, one likely being a SH death.
-
As it have already been mentioned, the best solution is Educating people.
Sure you'll always have the annoying bastards who spoil for the sake of spoiling, but i'm sure most aren't as aware as we are in AP. My best solution i can think of (besides WSJ going all digital, which is a downside to all who are lacking the technological means to enjoy it. Sure many have Computers/Phones but not all/) Is simply adding a page/disclaimer in every Scanlation chapter that simply states: "This is a scanlation! Be aware that the Official Release of this chapter is on Monday (or other day if holiday), So Please do not spoil to other people who are trying to enjoy the official WSJ/Viz release. Thank You". Or something along those lines.
I Believe it can be achieved either simply by asking Scanlation sites to include said disclaimer, or convincing Shueisha/WSJ/Viz to somehow enforce at least this (looking at you MP).
This won't solve the problem but it might make it a little better and bring up awareness.Plan B solution:
Legally Enforce Youtube to prevent reviews about chapter from publishing at least 1 day before official release. (since these get hundred of thousands views). -
Everyone who reads these scanlations and lives in an area where the Viz Media releases are available needs to buy it. There honestly is no excuse for that and more people should really buy it. But if you don't live in an area where it's available then I have no problems with you reading scanlations. Once the service is world wide then I think that they need to crack down on all of the scanlation sites.
-
i don´t think the scanlators are to blame at all. personally, i think they deserve praise for helping people like me who don´t have the possibility of reading one piece, outside of buying the volumes when they finally come out, to get their weekly dose of this awesome manga.
First, since I don't think we've interacted yet on these forums, let me just mention that I love your username.
Second, they don't deserve praise, at least, most of them don't, because they're not doing it to help people, they're doing it for money.Everyone who reads these scanlations and lives in an area where the Viz Media releases are available needs to buy it. There honestly is no excuse for that and more people should really buy it. But if you don't live in an area where it's available then I have no problems with you reading scanlations. Most people aren't going to pay for what they get for free. Many are way to entitled. I personally subscribe to VIZ's WSJ, but I still read scanlations mainly because I've given up on trying not to be spoiled.
I should not have to put my life on hold by avoiding sites that I like coming too, and by blocking/ignoring friends that might have lips that are a little too loose. That is not fair to me. But sadly, that's what I would have had to do, so I just caved and started reading scanlations again.
I can't even fathom how rough it is for the anime only watchers.
-
If scanlators had any sense of honor or decency about them, they wouldn't post chapters before the official release. That's all there is to it.
I'm fine with self-serving assholes being self-serving assholes, and if reading and talking about children's comics five days early is the extent of your wrongdoing then that still counts as a win on society's part, but just don't pretend it's anything good. Or even neutral. It's shitty, and those who read scans (myself included but not for OP) should probably make their peace with that.
-
Second, they don't deserve praise, at least, most of them don't, because they're not doing it to help people, they're doing it for money.
Yep.

And yep. Good to see these attitudes out there today!
-
I personally pay for WSJ but also read scanlations. I read scanlations early and read the official chapter again when it comes out. I feel like a way to incentivise people to adopt the official translations is for forums like AP to add some sort of special sig or identifier that users can get if they prove that they support the official releases. This will contribute to their sense of "internet fame" in a way that is supportive of the industry. Also, staff can limit "Chapter threads" to the Spoiler section of the board until Mondays when the actual chapter comes out.
-
I read spoiler, scanlation and Viz WSJ.
Sorry but some people are just like that, we are impatient, we can't stand to wait. I used to watch only one piece episodes but then I started reading manga cuz I couldn't wait for the episodes anymore. Then not too long ago on twitter I found there is something called "SPOILER" which comes out even earlier and no way would I let that slip.As long as this stuffs is out there and keeps coming then no way I can stop myself from looking it up. If there is a solution then good, if they can stop the early releases then me knowing I can't read it super early can finally have the patients to wait.
When you have school + work to keep you busy I'm sure waiting will be that easy, but when Tuesday - Wednesday comes my body tells me I'm missing something, when one piece goes on break the need of reading one piece goes away till the week I know is coming out.Anyways, one piece isn't the only manga I read but One piece is the only VIZ WSJ manga I read spoilers and scanlation of. One piece is too awesome, it got me into manga so I can't pass up the chance of reading it early.
All this stuff still doesn't stop me from paying yearly, whatever the price would be I will pay if its a way to support Oda and the awesome official manga, I even buy the volumes(digital and physical, even though I can easily look any chapter up on internet). Reading spoiler, scanlation doesn't stop me from enjoying the Official Viz WSJ release. Trust me, you will notice things you didn't before after reading multiple versions of a chapter.
I will be honest though, reading the even earlier spoiler is somehow bothering me, it feels like I'm doing something bad when I read em. I was ok with Tuesday and Wednesday spoiler but the Monday or earlier spoiler gives me a weird vibe when I read it.
-

Not everyone has money lying around to pay for the official release.

I'm not sure there's a simple solution to the problem, just because speed scans have always existed, and so have spoiler threads where early pictures and scripts are released. Personally, I think One Piece is good enough that spoilers won't ruin a chapter for me, because the art and the pacing is so critical to the enjoyment and most chapters don't have massive spoilers in them. There are, obviously, some big twists, but even then I question how bad any single spoiler can be. But I feel you: I hate spoilers, too, and would prefer to walk in unspoiled most of the time.
At the same time, I tend to binge One Piece. I go months with deprivation, then I read 30-50 chapters in one go. I manage to avoid most spoilers just fine and still participate in the community. I admit, the spoiler for this latest chapter is a doozy, but a big part of the problem rests on the shoulders of people who aren't being careful about marking their posts.
As far as solutions go, my favorite is to simply stop supporting speed scanners like Mangapanda. Having them speed scanned, hosted online, etc, simply perpetuates the spoilers faster and, in the past, has even led to false rumors being spread about the story due to rushed translations. I don't think this is a big problem anymore, but it once was. Instead, we can go back to supporting proper scans. There's a severe shortage of these since the speed scans have started being hosted on manga hosting sites. This is a big part of the issue: reading your manga on a reader contributes to the issue because they make money on ads by having the first scan up. Don't encourage this. Wait 2-3 days for the regular, downloaded scans to be available. And supporting these groups means there will be more of them. At present, there's only really one source for those right now and that's not okay.
-
Talking and complaining about it won't change anything. You don't want spoilers anymore? Well then, ask Shonen jump to drop their mag and make it online. Ask them to team up with Viz to make an international realease the same time as the japanese one. The whole world would read shonen jump at the same time and pay for it. Spoilers and scanlation would become useless, everyone win.
-

While I do take pride in supporting the official releases by subbing to Viz and purchasing new volumes whenever they release, this isn't the right way to go about "incentivizing" people to support the digital release. It'd be no different than naming and shaming people who, for one reason or another such as living home or living in a foreign country cannot afford or are unable access the Viz Media scanlations. The last thing this forum needs is vitriolic elitist groups and individuals poisoning an otherwise welcoming atmosphere. I assure you that such an identifier would cause this forum far more harm than it would good.
Like others have already said, this "issue" will continue to persist until the day comes where Shueisha decides to transition to a digital based business model. Even if spoiler providers are arrested, or mangapanda wiped off the face of the internet there will always be someone to step into their shoes and replace them. My best advice to anyone looking to avoid spoilers would be to:
1. Steer clear of APF and any other One Piece related discussion forum where you might find yourself being spoiled between Wednesday and Monday mornings.
2. Avoid Tumblr, Reddit, DeviantArt and One Piece related YouTube videos between Wednesday and Monday mornings.
3. Hide your blabbermouth friends Facebook news feeds. It's but one click away!
4. In the event you are spoiled; politely educate the person who spoiled you to use spoiler tags before posting in threads not dedicated to spoiler related content. If you were spoiled outside of a forum let the person know that you prefer not to discuss leaked content until the official release date.
-

Except the tens of thousands of young readers in Japan who don't own computers/smartphones and still enjoy reading WSJ the way it's meant to be.
-
The whole scanlation thing is such a grey area that it's almost black. Of course you can't defeat scanlators and people who give out spoilers - there's too much money involved. I have no idea if there's a solution for this though. I mean, what can you do? People in Japan won't go fully digital and you can't put Jump less than five days before its release.
In Poland One Piece came out just recently and our translator does a terrific job of the whole deal - what he does there is miles above any scans I've seen online or the official english translation, so a lot of people buy the manga here just to read OP "like it should be". Also, JPF (who does the official translation in Poland) knows about polish illegal translation and even works with them - as long as they put out only ~5 last OP chapters in polish they don't care, they are fully aware that about 90% of the people who read most of the series they are translating read'em because they are fans thanks to the scans found online. -
Except the tens of thousands of young readers in Japan who don't own computers/smartphones and still enjoy reading WSJ the way it's meant to be.
Ok, so what do you suggest, Enzeru. We make a circle and hold our hands together then cry about spoilers/scans which can easily be avoided?
-
no one can stop mangapanda
but they can't avoid it completly when the new chapter were discuss/pop up all over the place (youtube,fb,twitt, etc)
I am curious. How exactly does this happen? Is it merely friends of yours who deliebrately leak spoilers because I have a very hard time imagining ranodmly finding spoilers unless your whole life is centered around OP. Could you give me a few directions? I actually wouldn't mind spoilers but the only I have ever found were those in the spoiler section of this forum and they usually are not that far away from the chapter itself
-
Not everyone has money lying around to pay for the official release.
You have a internet connection, and obviously a lot of free time considering how often you post here,
but a few bucks a month is breaking your back and stealing food from your child's mouth?LOL how I love these "but I'm poor! you're rich bastard!" arguments over insanely insignificant amount of money.
The go-to excuse is the regional availability due to where you live, bro, not "OMFG it's a fortune".
Like others have already said, this "issue" will continue to persist until the day comes where Shueisha decides to transition to a digital based business model.
Pretty much, and hopefully the incredible success of One Punch Man will persuade Shuueisha to push towards that road.

C'mon dude, even in here we got a spoiler in the chapter discussion thread like last week chapter 730.
Well, my first time get spoiled was in 2009. The new book was vol 52 (in my country) and i was a new facebook user, a friend of mine tag me in Ace's death image he upload. Since then, my OP books always clean wrapped in the plastic and never open the new one. -

This is basically the same situation I'm in.
On Tuesday, I had to avoid AP and other sites I visit for almost half a day.
-
Well this thread is really weird to me . I mean i know what you're saying but it personally doesn't affect me at all. My rl friends doesn't read one piece (not that popular in my country), im reading scanlations, manga started to realese in my country pretty late so they are like at the beggining of grand line now… and i started spoiling myself recently, but when i didn't want to spoil myself i would just not enter spoiler section of arlong park.
Seems like the biggest problem is that japanese people who are reading only printed versions are being spoiled by scanlations. But are they really? I didn't hear about that too much, I always thought scanlacions were mostly western thing and japanese people doesn't look at those sites. (but i guess its chineese thing too, since ive noticed those chineese versions are even earlier to my surprise).
Also to someone who said that not all young people in Japan have pcs or smartphones. Seriously? They are like most advanced technological countries. How many people doesn't have those of those who read jump? Like 0.5%? Or less? They are important too, but from economical standpoint that wouldn't be such a big hussle for WSJ. But i guess i like printed versions too so would they... So they should realese that, so even that 0.5% or so wouldn't lose ability to read it.

1 - Aren't spoilers not allowed to be posted on the forums except in the thread especially for said spoilers until at least the chapter is out? I thought that's how APF has always been towards spoilers. Hence the no-spoiler-avatar rules and all.
2 - Most people on Tumblr, at least, have the decency to tag their spoilers so you can skip past them. A lot who post them do so under page lines so you have to click on the actual post to read it and for the most part I've noticed it's mainly reactions that you can't tell what is going on, just that something has happened. I was surprised that pictures of last week's chapter didn't start the flooding until after the chapter release at least. Of course, it was shitty MangaPanda chapter release, but I thought that was pretty restrained. Of course, do you get the occasional idiot and douche…
Also, Youtube is easy enough to skip past. Most people who have subscribed to those who spoil the chapters do so because they spoil the chapters. You can ignore a video by not watching it.
Not sure how fast the artist community is with spoilers, though.
-
Outside of America is it possible to read weekly shonen jump online on your computer or does it still only work on Android and IOS?
-
And yep. Good to see these attitudes out there today!
I must say its really to see people understand the mindset of the scanlators and why they do what they do.
Not everyone has money lying around to pay for the official release.
Its $2.99 a month. $26 for an annual subscription. Is pocket change really must be hard to come by. 1 month worth of WSJ for less than a coffee.
Personally, I read the scanlations first, then read WSJ when they come out. I don't think that's much of a problem. In fact, so long as the fan supports One Piece in their country (be it graphic novels, anime, merch, or WSJ), it shouldn't matter whether they read scanlations.
It kinda does matter when people on the internet treat scanlations as the official release and start posting everywhere that xyz happened less than an hour after leaks have been released. You can't argue or reason with almost always saying "it's on the manga sharing sites so no spoilers". That level of ignorance over the internet about leaked scanlations needs to be combatted the most.
Outside of America is it possible to read weekly shonen jump online on your computer or does it still only work on Android and IOS?
It is available to iOS devices, android and I think the few Amazon Kindle tablets IIRC. I personally wish I could have it on a device other than a mobile device like how it is in the US. I don't know whether they want to be purposefully tied down to those ecosystems but it would help if WSJ was downloadable on desktop devices through platforms like the Mac App Store and the Windows equivalent.
-
Ok, so what do you suggest, Enzeru. We make a circle and hold our hands together then cry about spoilers/scans which can easily be avoided?
For one, certain persons could stop acting like assholes. People are discussing a serious issue (for some people more than for others) here and it would be great if we could keep it civilized. We may not find a solution but at least it helps a bit to talk about it and make some persons realize those things (you wouldn't believe how many users I've seen post that think our Wednesday release is the official one). In other words, we can educate people and raise awareness. If that only works for you when someone holds your hand, then so be it, I'll take one for the team.
-
In other words, we can educate people and raise awareness.
Oh wow, good luck educating the whole Internet, that's some huge challenge right there
-
I would gladly pay for a high quality Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine to download every week.
They should offer it via Internet to the whole world! I dont understand why they dont!Is is always the same…
-
I buy One Piece in bulk because it's more convenient that way, for me anyways. I still read the online scanlations, however, I'd support limiting the release of spoilers even if it's little by little. Going all digital isn't that far-fetched, but it will take time to achieve something like that.
-
The moment Viz makes the online releases available in my country, I would happily switch over to them. But as is my only other legal option would be importing them and that would take a lot of time and money. Living on a dinky island in the middle of nowhere, the packaging cost as well as the transport time would mean collecting every volume would be quite a hassle to say the least.

The thing is that depending on the agreements Shueisha made with companies that license One Piece manga around the world, Viz may not have the rights to publish One Piece in certain regions. If people do want to get WSJ in their region tell your local distributors to bring in the magazine via Viz. I know here in Australia, Madman and Viz have a relationship where our local distributor publishes the Viz volumes. As an extension of that, Madman and Viz have started to sell WSJ in Australia. Also, the person in charge of the handling of international publishing of WSJ is Mr. Sasaki Hisashi and he is on Twitter so you could reach out to him. I'm not saying spam him with tweets saying 'we vant WSJ nao' but if you show him that there is demand for WSJ in different countries around the world hopefully we'll see an increase in the number of regions WSJ is available in.

It seems that you don't understand that there are other people in the world who don't have access to spare money for digital cartoons. I never said I was referring to myself . I have internet connection, so what? Most people have more important things to spend their money on. A lot of free time? Since when do I post here often? I do support the official release by buying some of the volumes whenever I want to, Seriously, stop acting like you know what you're talking about. It's not a matter of "fortune". Besides, I'm unable to read WSJ on what I'm using. You think you really have the right to scold others? Get lost please.

It seems that you don't understand that there are people who don't have access to money. I have internet connection, so what? I'm not the one who pays for it. It would be stealing food from our mouth since we need our money to support ourselves. Most people have important places where their money goes to. And a lot of free time? Since when do I post here often? I do support the official release by buying some of the volumes whenever I'm able to, Seriously, stop acting like you know what you're talking about. It's not a matter of "fortune". Besides, I'm unable to read WSJ on what I'm using. You think you really have the right to scold others? Get lost please.
If you can't even afford 50 cents a chapter, you don't deserve to read manga. It's a luxury, not a need to survive like food and water.
-
you don't deserve to read manga.
How about you stop right there
Eh, anyways, we don't have access to any fo those stuff here, and even if I did I wouldn't buy the chapters because
1- I am too lazy to go to buy the chapters when I can just read em without leaving the house
2- There's no way in hell I amma pay for what I get for freeSo yeah, shrugs
-
So even if it were available, you don't want to buy the cheap legal product because a leaked inferior scan is free and is making ad revenue out of your viewership when they clearly don't deserve it. Also who said you had to go anywhere to buy the manga chapter. All you'd be doing buy buying the official release like everyone in Japan does would be supporting the legal distribution channels that Shueisha and Viz provide so all the workers who make it possible for you to read that leaked scan every week can live and survive on a good pay check.
Look I understand both sides of the debate and I'd say people are very tolerant about it, but its logic like this that really what pisses me off about the manga community in general. It's this mindset that people have that is clearly fucked.

If it's luxury then why do you act like I have to pay? I don't have to pay for something that I can get for free. Don't like that? Cry more. If you read the early chapters that come out on Wednesday instead of waiting for Viz to release it(which you do), stop talking now before you look like a bigger hypocrite than you already do. You have no right to lecture someone when you do the same thing as them. And as I said before It is not possible for me to read Viz's chapters on here. I already buy volumes If I feel like it, I don't need to spend money on digital chapters.

Anyways about the subject at hand, who in their right minds can't avoid a spoiler? When Shingeki no Kyojin exploded, there were spoilers everywhere yet I managed to avoid all of them by not looking into places where they were prominent. It's not that hard. Unless your life revolves around anime and manga then they can definitely be avoided.

I'm not poor, my point was that I basically have better things to spend money on. It's kinda sad how you try to resort to personal insults because someone doesn't agree with your opinion over a children's cartoon. Didn't I a suggest that you not post anymore so you wouldn't embarrass yourself further? Either get back to the actual topic or don't post at all.
-
It's easy to avoid spoilers actually. Just don't visit sites where new chapter discussion is happening, no one is forcing you to see it. Is it that hard for you to look at something else? Stop being a crybaby because others are talking about a chapter ahead of you.
You know what?
Honestly?I completely agree with Felres.

Alright, let's not get personal over such an issue. We all read the illegal scanlations, so instead of bickering over something like "paying" for domething; we should focus on the actual topic at hand.

Your are the absolute worst kind of fan, and a horribly spoiled and entitled person.

So, you would tell people who only read the official release to avoid AP five days a week, or avoid any friends whom might read scanlations, or possibly stay off facebook, youtube, or any other possible place someone might mention One-Piece.
That would be all fine and dandy to tell someone if scanlations were even remotely legal, but they're not. Yes, I understand that some people have no other options, but most of those people also have no consideration for people don't want to give money to criminals.
