Well, when she uses Gigante Fleur to reproduce her giantified upper body in Ch.1020, she also has her main body's hair ribbon, which is an inanimate object on her person (reproduced with hands?).

In the following chapter, you can see the hash marks over her chest that indicate everything is still being built out of body parts somehow.

Ultimately in the interest of avoiding lingering on the overcomplicated (and frankly, horrific) nature of her ability, it's best to not think on it too hard.

Everything is being made out of… something! Millions of hana hanas, no doubt.

Is there any real reason to think this is about Shanks? Wouldn't that chick in the drawing be more likely the main character in the movie? Sure, maybe she's Shanks' sister we've never heard about or whatever, but they always that kind of crap in the movies, doesn't mean Shanks will actually be involved.

I too wish Star had been introduced earlier in the manga, so we could have had more time to enjoy and appreciate her before this heroic sacrifice. That the end result of AFO's hubris though was that he absorbed a quirk that would severely weaken Shigaraki and even destroy some of the quirks he'd stored up in him, is a really satisfying moment–we see him in a kind of panic we've never seen him in. If Shigaraki has no choice but to pass New Order onto the Nomu, which lacks the intelligence to be able to use it, this will be a spectacular loss for All For One.

If all that was Star's doing, for as much as it's a shitty loss, it's also a huge success for the heroes.

This episode was SO hype, so well directed, truly elevating the source material. I haven't watched an episode of One Piece since shortly after the timeskip, and how cool for it to have been this one.
The buzz TV Wano has been getting sounds completely earned.
