The Yonkou idea is part of the balanced world power situation that the Gorusei are interested in maintaining. Instead of replacing the Yonkou, it's more likely by far that the supernovas are going to bring about the end of the balance of powers. So them being new Yonkou in the sense of the old seems unlikely.
I also think it's highly unlikely that Blackbeard will be finished off before Raftel.

Actually they're quite active..During a short period of time we've seen two clashes: Shanks & Whitebeard (even though it was kind of friendly)

It clearly didn't lead to any war or attempt at actually destroying the other one.
And the way the government talked about it when it happened was like it was a huge surprise they didn't want to see happened. Indicating it was rare.
Frankly it wasn't even a clash until the two lashed out at the end, it was just supposed to be a conversation.

And that too was clearly rare since it was started due to Whitebeard's forces moving out to go to Marineford. An event we were assured endlessly was massive shocking news.
It was a crack in the stalemate.

There's a difference between a normal week brake where we don't get anything for a week and the week afterwards everything is back to normal. Here we were expecting the chapter on wednesday with spoilers a day before, but we have spoilers and full blown Chinese RAWs that have all of the chapter 4-5 days earlier but no translation or anything beside it. It's a nasty Ordeal for many OP readers. Heck, if it was only the few sentences of the spoiler alone and chapter on wednesday i would have been fine but the RAW is just mocking my patience which is ever so slowly breaks and won't hold for long.

I find it incredibly annoying how people call the Chinese translation a "raw". It cannot be a "raw" if it's not in the language it was first made in. Sigh, just because both languages use characters.
It's like suggesting German and English are the same language because they both use LETTERS.

Funny you mention English and German, since German is pretty much the base and the core of English. If you strip away all the words that English has borrowed from other languages over the centuries you will get pretty much The most basic of Anglo-Saxon English (not that wide language wise) and many Germanic terms. (Here, try reading in Anglish which is "pure" english)

Anyway, Maybe we should just call it the Japanese (original) version instead of RAW?

It really doesn't. Nobody's rubbing the untranslated stuff in your face. It's there in the spoiler section and, if you don't want to be spoiled, ignore it. There are plenty of other manga out there that don't get the near instant scanlations that One Piece gets and people manage to deal with that just fine.

Just treat it as you did not see those versions and expect One piece to come out as usual this week, which is this Tuesday or Wednesday for some. Problem solved. Do something else instead of camping in front of your comp for one piece, I am sure there is a lot of other stuff for you to do that will take your mind off waiting. No one is purposely teasing you, you are wanting to be teased by them

Didn't expect that you'd take everything as a hard fact. What I said about the English language (specially in a OP forums) should have been taken as a light guideline not fact. Anyway, you are right that English is defined by its wide influence and words from other languages, nevertheless it is a fun fact of the language to think about.

Anyway, the "Anglish" link there is just a fun little language experiment. Nothing too serious (except the topic itself of Atomic theory).

If you see tons of squiggly letters (Japanese alphabets) with occasional squarly letters (Kanji), then it's Japanese.

If you see nothing but squarly letters then it's Chinese.

If you see the entire freakin' bubbles filled with bunch of lines and circles toppled on each other like Jenga, it's Korean.

It's actually very easy to see the difference.

Thanks for pointing it out for me. After i have compared the original 718 chinese leak to a 717 raw i can really see the difference. Maybe i'm wrong, but I've also noticed that Chinese writing has slightly more dense characters.

Chinese is a like a group of languages spoke in China. there's a lot of variation throughout the country, and even within major subgroups, there are loads of distinct dialects which are not always similar enough that if you cna understand one you cna understand the other.

Mandarin is by far the biggest group, and Standard Chinese is Beijing dialect of Mandarin, which serves as the national language and what people generally understand by 'Chinese'.

Your conception that there are two types of Chinese comes from the fact that on major group, Cantonese, has a lot of significance because it is an official language in Hong Kong, there is a lot of media produced in Cantonese and there is a large Cantonese-speaking diaspora.

Confusing Japanese with Chinese isn't like confusing English with German though either.

The translation can get the point across, but it could use improvement to say the least. (knowing Russian has some perks). It could have been at least a bit more creative instead of the "черт возьми" but still fun stuff going on in this thread.

I seem to recall reading one that Russians were getting used to British and American tourists asking for the 'Pectopah', since Russian for restaurant is Ресторан. Not sure how true this is, but I can believe it.

I taught myself Cyrillic in my teens so I could write notes in class without people being able to read them. Learnt runes and hiragana for the same reason, but have since forgotten them. Honestly, knowing Cyrillic is a lot easier than it seems and lets you guess at a lot of Russian words (especially if you also know another Slavic language or even German).

That's what i tried to say, sometimes without knowing and paying attention you can get confused with English and Russian.
Believe me, Learning Cyrillic is way easier than learning Russian Language rules and semantics. (I know very little of Russian, as for a half mother tongue, and the rules of the language that i have only heard of their difficulty and complexity scare me)
English is quite easy and modular compared to other languages.
