A question about Itachi.
If he was spying for Konoha, how come they weren't told that "Madara" is still alive and kicking? Did Itachi deem it not important enough to tell? Just another example of how unefficient of a spy he was. Kishi just throwed it in there without thinking too much. Itachi was spying for Konoha, yet the village practically knew nothing of the organization.

Others would be how nobody had realized that Naruto is Minato's son. I mean, everyone knew that Minato had sealed the Kyuubi inside a child before he died, yet nobody knew whose child it was (and nobody came out to claim that Naruto is his). The problem is that they were resurrected characters and suddenly had those weapons. If they were dead and resurrected why did they have those items? Why hadn't we heard of them before? It is a really big problem that weopons supposedly made by the literal god of all shinobi weren't even hinted at even slightly before that one point in time.

A reason for the father happily making their children ninjas is because socially, in the leaf village, ninja is a work with prestige. And for them the earlier you start working the better(In old times and currently in some places people start working at earlier ages).
The drink and Ninja are not related, or society may see Ninja worse than drink, but that doesn't mean other society should do the same. Is not hard to think they have a bad opinion about minors drinking, but good about being a Ninja(An honorable profession in a Ninja village). As example we have some places in America(or all? I don't really know) you can only drink with the age of 21, but smoke and drive at 16(or earlier). But Europe, or at least in Portugal, you can smoke and drink at the age of 16 but only drive at the age of 18.

Child soldiers are the best. If worse comes to worst and they die, they didn't have much to lose and hey if you want another child, then that just means you get to have more sex. It's a win win.

The child soldiers made way, way more sense when they were training for lifelong jobs and their only missions were things like, escorts, and finding cats. Supposed to be a ranking system that would segue them along, and they wouldn't actually do the dangerous stuff till they were adults…. events like Zabuza were random exceptions rather than the rule.... and it was stated repeatedly that the chuunin exams of the year we saw were the harshest and full of the strongest students in a long time.... and that the teachers had to be SUPER confident in their students to put them in that young.
This of course all fell apart on the rescue Sasuke mission (which... as an emergency after a major invasion I can almost allow... the kids did sort of hold their own and backup WAS summoned) but really falls apart when a mere 2 years later when they're only 15 they've ALL passed the chunin exams, (because thats easier to draw than distinct outfits) and are being regularly sent out to fight world class SSS nation destroying monsters and being counted on the to save the village... intentionally and constantly.
The timeskip being 5 years instead of 2 would have made a major difference, in that regard, actually. At 18 it feels a little less wrong for them to be on adult missions than it does at 15... and would have been more reasonable time for them ALL to pass the exam... of course then Naruto's not learning squat would have bene extra lame.

Child soldiers are pretty much only ever used in RL by dictators with kidnapped children (NOT THEIR OWN) who are used because of the psychological effect that seeing a child in battle would have. But since the ninja in Naruto have shown absolutely no qualms about fighting and killing children, and even glorified it in the whole pre-village days, that clearly isn't a factor so the whole thing is just bullshit

You're right, but the age of adulthood have a lot to do with the mortality age. In a Ninja Village I guess that the majority of people would only reach like 25-30 years so becoming an adult at the age of 15 is understandable. In reality I always thought that in Naruto they are considered adults, at least to start working, at the age 13, when they become Gennins. If that isn't the case than making ninja mission and receiving clients money, it doesn't matter if is catching a cat or killing someone, is child exploitation.

Don't forget that "Normal" Ninjas aren't soldiers! Ninjas are, in the end, just Mercenaries, they receive missions and money from third parties entities, the clients(You can see them as assassins, but they don't do only assassinations). Just like Spies normally don't go to wars Mercenaries don't either. In Naruto world at some point Kishimoto fucked up everything about Ninjas, and they turned more like a Military faction than a group of Mercenaries. What should be asked is how and since when that drastic, and stupid, change happened.
Training a kid to be an assassin isn't that choking, while it still destroy their childhoods. For example in One Piece Lucci and the other CP9's members trained to become assassins in a young age. I don't see nobody protesting about why they were trained since childhood and not only when they got adults.

yeah you are right.. another thing is that this complain only started in this thread during Hashirama flashback rather than from the beginning of Naruto.. and its not like Kishi already establish any fractions that were having war with each others and their reason to do so.. all we got were private military contractors like you said.. and looks like that is how Naruto world work even though how stupid that is.
It takes a kind of talent to create a character who had his entire extended family murdered when he was a child and make him entirely unsympathetic.

Are you seriously asking why people aren't angrily wondering why the OP World Government has done bad things?
I'm just saying that training a person since childhood, in things like assassination or even in the art of a soldier, is totally different then sending him to battles and wars. The first even if bad it doesn't seem a stupid and a desperate measure, so people don't even think two times about it. The world Government train kids, but they don't send them into battles and wars, at least that we know. The only kid sent was Lucci and it was to a mission that he was certainly prepared and could do, because he was a genius.
The ninjas in the beginning of Naruto were supposed to be the first case, where they would make simple missions that would make them grow in their office. The only kids that would make missions made for "Adults", and in effect go to war, would be the genius, like Itachi. Since the Sasuke rescue arc they being sending kids to inappropriate missions and in the war they used kids, that could as well be in the village. In fact, now that I think well, the only kids in the war were:
The Konoha 11, Gaara, Rock Lee, Tenten and Neji. The rest of the ninjas are depicted as adults. Gaara, Neji and Naruto should be the only exceptions, of kids participating in the war. Gaara is the a Kage, Neji is a Junnin and Naruto is the hero of the village. All the rest shouldn't be there and only are to appeal to the fans. The funny thing is that they are in the war, but don't even have decent screen time.
I have a big issue with this thread. It's really stupid when you think about it, and that some people have praised it is unbelievable.
