    • RE: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Do the Dio Walk!

      @Sander:

      Giorno is so lame that Bruno ended up being the de facto protag.

      Diavolo is so lame that the only really memorable thing about him is his memetic Stand.

      Worst JoJo, worst villain.

      Giorno isn't really a bad character, he's just not as good as he could be. He's more someone who holds the group together, instead of a leader, and I think that's actually an interesting choice for a protagonist. He brings out the best in others.

      Diavolo is the worst main Jojo villain, but that's only because every main Jojo villain is really great. Fundamentally I don't see why people would rank him as much lower than, say. Kars.

      Anyway,

      6. Diavolo
      5. Kira
      4. Pucci
      3. Kars
      2. Dio
      1. Valentine

      Though I'd put Pucci and Kira above Kars if I was feeling more objective.

      7. Jonathan
      6. Giorno
      5. Jotaro
      4. Josuke
      3. Johnny
      2. Jolyne
      1. Joseph

      @KageKageKing:

      ! Because of fetus and poop?

      ! There is that. And the other distasteful body humor. And Alessi being the most viscerally disgusting and pathetic human being In the entire series, to the point where he is actually unpleasant to watch at times. And the just generally low amount of good moments or strategy. And probably one or two other things I'm forgetting, I am not watching that fight again.

      Well, we've finally arrived at the worst fight in the entire series. Supported by Alessi, the worst character in the entire series.

      Much as I love Jojo, I will forever hate this fight.

      Well it's not like I care overly much, but the hate towards those characters seems quite unmerited to me. Even if they were mishandled, they at least seemed to have potentially interesting facets and something approaching depth of character.

      Oh yeah, let's go with that "true fans of JoJo hate Part 3" thing again…

      That's a thing? Whatever. I'm not trying to start a flame war really, really not trying to start a flame war. Faults and simplicity aside, it truly is very entertaining and fun.

      I don't see why they wouldn't do part 4. It seems to be a favorite among fans. Been finally getting around to reading it myself, definitely liking it so far.

      Personally, while I like Part 3, it seems like far and away the worst part in the series. I attribute much of its popularity to its coolness and entertainment factor, because everything else is rather lacking compared to the other parts. I mean, the plot and character development is pretty thin, and rather simplistic when it does play a role.

    • RE: Switching Game

      Switch Law's power to Crocodile. It'd be great. Crocodile is just the sort of crafty character to take full advantage of it. I imagine he'd create a whole army of powerful fighters by body-swapping his weaker soldiers with the stronger fighters that he bests in battle. Consequently allowing him to capture even stronger fighters in turn.

    • RE: Straw Hats-Less Arc.

      Oda has created such a vast and beautiful world. Of course I would love for it to be explored beyond the viewpoint of a single crew. Besides, focusing on some new characters might be more interesting; I don't care as much about the Strawhats lately, perhaps because I'm already so accustomed to their personalities.

      @Demon:

      Smash Bros. has consumed me, but I am making a bit of progress in this series. Last episode I saw left off on the cliffhanger of Gon, Kurapica, Leorio, and Ponzu trapped in that cave where the entrance is coated in snakes.
      I find it funny watching this, that a LOT feels familiar with Yu Yu Hakusho…

      The main team of four feels a lot like them too. Gon (Yusuke - Has good instincts, not a lot in the way of formal fighter training. Is kindof learning as he goes along), Leorio (Kuwabara - Weakest fighter. Walks like a stereotypical Bancho, Not the brightest. Has so far lost all of his actual fights), Kurapica (Kurama - Most tactical. Clearly the thinker of the group. Fierce and brutal fighter when you really make him mad), Killua (Hiei - Cold Hearted killer, easily the strongest and most ruthless of the group at the start. Only goes with the group because he's fascinated by/Respects the Main Character)

      Yes, comparing the two really shows how much Togashi has evolved as a writer.
