Well Law broke his chains in Punk Hazard so i guess Luffy wanted to show that even when tied he could fodderize Vander Decken and Sanji… well he's Sanji so no need for explanations in that matter.
Wonder if there's any point in Doflamingo trying to keep his secret anymore, now that Fujitora has heard Cesar call him Joker.
He cannot go public just because a marine admiral knows his secret, he's still a king and may be have done a lot of bad thing using his identity as a broker
Fuji is so pissed off the branch near by just split into two! someone is gonna get it and I don't think it's gonna be Law
http://www.batoto.net/read/_/179178/one-piece_ch712_by_mangarule/14 (link to the full page~~)
He doesn't seems like a holder, he will definitely F*** thing up for DD depending on what Law decides to say
So now that we can much agree that Doflamingo is a lying bastard, I will not be surprised if the Mera Mera no Mi is also a lie.
It certainly looks like a real fruit with some kind of fire petals but I wouldn't be surprised If it turns out to be an imitation, no likely though
It looks to me that Trebol ate an artificial zoan fruit and became one of those slimy sea creatures (my guess is sea cucumber).
I thought the same thing but it wouldn't make much sense, why would a seat of DD be relying in an artificial fruit when he have tons of connections and also this is Logia not a zoan
Don't think it matters but found this. http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/945/kq1w.jpg. Sanji has chains on him. If Violet tricked/sneaked these on him it would explain why he cant dodge or stand upp on his own but knowing sanji he whould gladly stand there and take it.
Sanji could have dodge anytime he wanted, he's main power resides on his legs, he could brake those things or use Sky Walk, remember this guy from CP9 used Geppo with franky holding his leg but Sanji just believed in a women's tears and what a tears he's believing in~~
Are you sure you have what it takes to imply that I do know not enough of One Piece? Don't know man, give it a try, fell free to enlighten me and show us why Sanji has been reeeeaaally relevant to the story since the TS…or since... mmmm ... when was it? Thriller Bark when he offered as a sacrifice? Or maybe... oh yeah, since he closed those huge doors and saved the day when no one expected it. Or when he entretained Enel and fainted while smoking so the others could escape. Yes, I think that's what being reliable and smart and cunning while keeping the style of a badass means when talking about Sanji, and not fighting random enemies or being funny (which is nice, he is a GOOD gag machine).
Of course I have what it takes, since I am not some pathetic loser like you. If you really read One Piece you would remember for example how he saved the Marines in the last arc, or how he warned Law about the danger - when was it? Ah yes, in the LAST CHAPTER.
Just stop posting, we saw how stupid you are already.
Yep but I failed to see in your case… But glad to know that I was wrong
It's allright, I only wanted to point out you were misjudging me as a newbie shonen fan by my "looks" - just like Strelok.

So you're saying Sanji hasn't been a main plot point in the last two arcs. Because after Thriller Barque (sorry, after Duval) and before the New World, he was a little tied up along with I dunno, every single other Strawhat aside from Luffy.
I don't really have time to read through 30 pages of discussion, but just wanted to mention this:
Hmm, Doflamingo is a Noble? Well, that's interesting. Because when Oda did a drawing of the Shichibukai as kids, Doflamingo looked like a poor kid. Look:
So, perhaps it is more complicated then him just being a World Noble. Maybe he was adopted into the World Nobles, or blackmailed his way in? Who knows!

I'm thinking he pulled a Sabo.
It could be that DD left the nobles and ended like that
It could be that DD left the nobles and ended like that
People have brought up however, that blood means you can't really ever run away, not when it's a nobility caste on THAT level. So Dofla probably retains his influence in some bizarre way.
I'm really curious about Doflamingo's position. Why is he so afraid of Kaidou if he has the WG at his fingertips? Why the bother with the underworld dealings at all? I sort of want to speculate that he left for whatever reason, but then why would he be so willing to go back to pull some strings? And I get the impression that he's not a CL, since he said "more deeply rooted." Is it possible that he got to know some of the WG's secrets? (Though in that case, they probably just would have killed him.)
Also, what Fujitora's role here will be. And how Law is going to get out of this spot (or will there be a "save Traffy" mini-arc?)
I'm sort of wondering if there will be a humorous mini-romance story for Sanji with Violet. That could be interesting to see, but Oda seems pretty set against writing romance.
@Tom:
That there is something that bothers me. Why only guys? Isn't equality the thing feminists strive for. I don't think it makes sense to act as if two different creatures should be treated as one when it comes down to those differences, but on the internet there's not really genders because you can't instantly know if a poster is a guy or a gal. Still some people like to point out that something happens because the poster is of a specific gender. That's just irrational if you ask me.
It does make a difference whether it's a woman or a man saying "that's not misogynistic." Because, generally speaking (though there are women with internalized misogyny, and men who really are invested) men notice and/or care less about women's issues, since they don't directly affect them. If a man says he doesn't see sexism, my automatic reaction is "of course you wouldn't" (speaking from lots of personal experience with guys who dismiss things like sexual harassment as no big deal.) If the issue is "is this offensive or disrespectful to women"? sorry, even the best educated men sometimes can have a hard time speaking to that. As you say, acknowledging differences between men and women is just realistic. It's ridiculous IMO to act like women and men should have an "equal" say in a discussion about misogyny, an issue that only negatively affects one of them. (And yeah, you can pretty much tell who's a guy and who's a girl in a discussion about sexism.)
Funniest part of the chapter
Doflamingo: Hey Law!! I'm scared shitless now that I've stepped down from the shichibukai!!
Law: Enough of your bullshit!!

This is all really dumb and you're completely derailing your own attempt to argue about Sanji. Which is a shame, because that's the POINT.
Talk about the issue, not the mouths it's coming out of.
All you've succeeded in doing is turn people against you by making them feel alienated, instead of considering any arguments being put up about why the Sanji scene is bad.
Congratulations.

Considering how excited Sanji got over Violet admitting she killed a man in the heat of passion, it's not hard to imagine that Sanji kind of hoped something like this would happen.
It could be that DD left the nobles and ended like that
The way the story portrays how much the celestials love slaves, and seeing that DD was kinda the biggest deal in the slave trade up till the timeskip, it might be that he is either working for or have some dealings with the celestials. (haha, the celestials sound like some Motown dreamgirls-esque band.) That will mean he has dealings with both extremes of power, the legitimate (celestials) and the illegitimate (one of the yonkou.)
I still like Sanji just fine. I could never say no to those don! lines where people thumb point at their own chest
I may take up shouting i'll never doubt a woman's tear
what i don't get it [how was sanji captured by Violet & DD members]
any idea !
Nothing special, it's just now is 100% clear Sanji is going to be (finally) again crucial this arc and not treated like an extra or gag material, just like the old times.
Like I said before- I think Sanji will have 3 main opponents in this arc,
1: Trebol(looks like a logia)
2: One of the CP0
3: Vergo will conclude it…(turns out the fruit that came out when smily died automatically got stuck on Vergo face so he mistakenly or willing ate it, then the fruit regenerates the limbs he lost in the explosion) now Sanji will fight a Badass haki pissedoff Vergo with a DF..

Fujitora making a move on DoFlamingo is very very plausible…
Someone posted this on Reddit. Vergo mentioned that Smoker telling this to the Marines would be a no-go. So there is a high chance The Marines have no idea that Joker = DoFlamingo. Fujitora now knows and he uses Blind Justice. So which way will the Sword of Judgement strike?

Probably much later when he informs other Marines about it and they talk it over since it's just the hint at a larger network of problems.

Atleast Fuji can attack Dofla and give Akainu and World government the explanation that he's blind and thought he was attacking Law with a troll face/smile(damn his not Kizaru)

DD is poor but happy, maybe he hated to be a noble
His little speech about what background you come from makes more sense now that we know that he has lived in both worlds
Wonder if he's the only noble to succesfully make it out of the shadow cast by his bloodline

And here he comes.
From KingOfLightnings youtube review comments…"Sanji better get fucking Chris Brown as his master for the next timeskip, otherwise he's fucked later on."
Violet's power is pretty wacky when it comes to offense. Iron Whale tears? Did I hear that right? Is that a saying in Japan like crocodile tears is in English?
Oda seems to be going wild with the fruit powers lately, remember when it was just buggy and luffy?
Also Fujitora may be an earth logia. That would explain his gravity powers and keep the logia pattern of admirals consistent.
@Dje:
nope. he defended Zombie Lola before in Thriller Bark (when his shadow was being in Zombie Penguin's body), resulted in Usopp and Chopper applaused him for doing so. and Dr. Kureha. well she's beautiful and strong but still not as young as Nami or the others. just saying.
already tried the eye pose Violet did when i was in grade school (or junior high?) after watching Vivian Hsu did it. but well, none of the people here seem to watch soap operas, so….
annndddd no one seems to think dr kureha is beautiful lol, dafuk dude

We need a Japanese speaker to confirm it but I think the gag is that the word for the attack sounds like both whale and tears. So the attack is actually a pun.
Oda seems to be going wild with the fruit powers lately, remember when it was just buggy and luffy?
To be fair, back then when it was just Buggy & Luffy it was in East Blue and it was pointed out that the DFs are more common in the Grand Line.
Also Fujitora may be an earth logia. That would explain his gravity powers and keep the logia pattern of admirals consistent.
The 'pattern' only fits the group of admirals (Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji) that were introduced before the timeskip, 20+ years ago it didn't fit. Nor is logia powers a requirement for the position, as a few fans have thought.
Sengoku, who is not a logia, used to be an admiral before Kong left the Fleet Admiral and became Pan-Fleet Admiral and Sengoku got promoted. Aslo back then Kong wanted to promote Garp to Admiral, but he refused the promotion several times.

I thought he might end up attacking, Doflamingo as well. He's just watching what they're doing. I hope, Doflamingo, kicks, Law's ass instantly and before he finishes him off, Fujitora attacks, Doflamingo. I'm quite sure that, Doflamingo can take, Law out quite quickly as he did with, Smoker. I want the fact that, Doflamingo hurt, Law so badly to piss, Luffy off. That will make, Luffy want to find, Doflamingo and kick his ass. I'm quite sure that, Luffy can fight him evenly.

It is a pun. ”目くじら” refers to glaring at someone, but "目” means eye and “くじら” means whale(s).
Thanks Jimmy! By any chance do you also care to explain how the giro giro no mi devil fruit name works. I'm just curious if there are any of the same characters.
@Steven:

Very helpful, thanks. Helps make some sense out of the attack.

It may have been brought up in the spoiler thread, but ギロギロ (giro giro) is the onomatopoeia associated with staring/glaring. From what I know ジロジロ(jiro jiro) is used more commonly, but I think giro has more of an angry conotation. Never used it before though, lol.

Well since you seem to know how it's supposed to be typed then how about you be so kind as to correct it for me so I can see what I did wrong? :)
what i don't get it [how was sanji captured by Violet & DD members]
any idea !
Why's that soo hard to guess? She probably attacked him and he didn't fight back. She ended up putting the chains on him, and no struggle from him

I must admit I'm intrigued too, how the hell can someone write that way???

Because they want to be Shatner?
what i don't get it [how was sanji captured by Violet & DD members]

It's pretty simple. Violet would have taken sanji to their place and there sanji would have been captured. He may let himself get caught because he believed in that woman.
On a another note(Not sure if this been pointed out early) I think Violet's power involves her eyes rather than "mind" power to manipulate and see the thoughts of others as some suggested. So she is able to literally "see"through anything and this explains the irontears because tears are a connected of eyes .

What if Law uses his shambles to switch himself,Mingo, and Fuji and then running away in Mingo's body to tell Kaido the deals off. lol
And I, want to buy, some pancakes, in order to make Boa, feel jealousy, towards Nami and, Robin because of, reasons.

All you had to do was use your common sense like he did. It was pretty clear what I was saying in the first place. He said it in the same order I did. And aren't commas supposed to come after and sometimes before a name depending on how they're used? And I'm not a he .-.
