Then how would he have an heir though ?
Through the…."alive" Quincy, Uryu? I'm not understanding what you mean.
I will admitt though I like the bearded monkey dude.
Though Kubo hasn't realy established this Quincy place yet, to the point where I don't know where those Sternritters were, or where Bazz dude was even going or how.

If those guys were around only through Bach's influence, then how could they expect one of them to be his heir ?

They were fooled?
We don't know the history of these guys, but it is a tad suspicious Bach existed for a thousand years and just happened to have this 26 letter army (+ more) at his disposal. And given all the odd powers that barely relate to known Quincies (Uryu/Ryuken), it's a plausible theory.
lol at how Obito is a 30 year old dreaming of his one true love, a 12 year old, before his death
good times
Obito can survive 600 billion explosive tags but somehow Kakashi is too tough to beat.
Obito can survive 600 billion explosive tags but somehow Kakashi is too tough to beat.
Naruto Shippuden summed up.
Also pretty meh chapters this week.
i heard that today is Kubo's birthday.. happy Birthday Kubo..
How in the world, Obito, or Tobi, the main villain of the last idon'tknowhowmanychapters (well at least before Madara's ressurection) is losing to a mere brawl with Kakashi. What are power levels i don't even.
Pfft, the luchador's name!
Bleach
See, one of the many problems Naruto has is that Kishimoto likes to hype his villains. But instead of pushing the heroes to their limit and defeating their ennemies in creative ways, he prefers to nerf the villains to death (literally) at the eleventh hour to make the victory more believable.
Now that all the Akatsuki member are dead (or died once at least), let's look at their fights :
Obito can survive 600 billion explosive tags but somehow Kakashi is too tough to beat.
Clearly Kakashi used 600 billion and one explosive tags.
So Uryuu Ishida has committed himself to the 'dark side', because why not. No build-up, no foreshadowing, nothing. Maybe he thought that tagging along with Ichigo has made him a punching bag for the past few arcs, now he needed to get stronger or something. Who knows, we are having a Sasuke situation here.
I am really getting Heuco Mondo vibes here, what with Mohawk-Not-Grimmjow and StoicBishonen-Not-Ulquiorra. Now waiting for Sternritter Z to state, 'Who said Sternritters go from A-Z?'
We don't know why he's joined them or what Ishida's end goal is…we'll find out eventually. Before people were bitching about him not playing any part in the story, and now within a few chapters he's become 1 of the major players
Though its odd that the other Quincy didn't know him, given that the guy Ichigo faced knew Ishida very well and even knew how powerful he was given his comments...
Nardo - I have a question, if anyone can answer this. Is there any logical reason that Madara is trying to revive himself, and in doing so become alive ??
Considering that once he is alive, he will lose the ability to regenerate, and not have unlimited chakra.
Also the fact that there are four very powerful immortal zombiekages and an entire army to deal with, shouldn't he first defeat them and then become mortal to become a jinchuuriki.
By reviving himself now, isn't he just risking getting killed again ??
To me this part really makes no sense, at all.
Bleh - No idea why Juha made Uryuu the successor, and it makes no sense currently. The line about Uryu being the last quincy alive is surely a translation error, cause Ryuuken and Ichigo are both alive.
Lastly, why are the sternritters surprised about Uryu ? Didn't Opie know about Uryu, and got mad when Ichigo called him weak or something ??
This shit makes my brain hurt.
Finally, all those babies whining about
a) kakashi vs Obito happening off-panel and
b) Obito being set up to be turned good by Kakashi
can stop whining. Obito lost his fight, but stuck to his villainous goal right to the end, warping back out of hsi dimension so Madara could use Obito's Rinnegan to revive himself … hooray for evil Obito, I guess. He turned out a better villain than I thought he would anywhere along the way.
Actually Naruto has been complete garbage that no one should care about at all since almost a decade ago.
Uhhh, bleach is starting to scare me, last time we had numbers from 1-10 and that took 200 chapters to finish. Now we have letters from A-Z? Knowing this guy he's introduce every single Roman letter and have a 5-10 chapter long fight with them.
…So can anyone clue me in on what Madara did to Tobito?
All I remember about rinne tensei was that Nagato had a bigass statue (a different one) revive people by barfing up souls he himself had stolen, or something to that effect.
That doesn't seem to apply to...whatever happened here.
Is the black goo the Black Zetsu or some shit? I don't even know.

Now that all the Akatsuki member are dead (or died once at least), let's look at their fights :
- Sasori : Too dumb to use his poisonous black sand spike technique twice and chose to die because PARENTS
Don't remember much of back then, but Sasori's thing was okay in my memory.
- Hidan : Too dumb.
Read: Shikamaru was cleverer.
- Kakuzu : Killed by a genin-level trick
Raikiri, blood sub + Hidan, Rasenshuriken (twice), Raikiri . . .
- Orochimaru : Sick
Not really dead, ever . . .
- Deidara : Chose to die because ART
Yeah, create a character using explosives who KILLS HIMSELF to bomb people? What bad writing, that nevers happens in real life, people don't blow themselves up to take people down, even if doing so can take out a 5km radius or something . . .
- Itachi : Sick (was it ever explained why ?) and chose to die because BROTHER
Guys, Itachi actually being stronger than Sasuke was terrible writing. He should have never been even remotely compassionate. He should have just been a heartless killer who exterminated the Uchiha clan for fun. He should never have had any dedication to the Leaf. Sasuke should have killed him with skill and then we could feel happy that terriblegenericvillain was dead.
- Nagato : Sick and also chose to die because BOOK
Don't see how this even remotely means nagato fails to live up to hype. I love how people bitch about how Naruto 'won' with 'talk no jutsu' as if Naruto didn't have to fight Pain in the first place. The whole invasion of Pain arc surely met his hype. Naruto didn't even come close to winning on his own, but had to be saved.
And I really don't understand why people bitch about Nagato's decision to put his lot in with naruto and revive the people he'd just killed. It fits with Naruto's themes, it fits with where the story was going, why do people moan . . .
- Kisame : Chose to die because LIES
Uh, actually got beaten AT LAST after many fights, in a weakened state, without Samehada by Seven Gates Guy. Why does this not live up to his 'hype'? On a side note, his decision to kill himself makes him a much more credible ninja villain than most others. And complaining about Nagato's suicide and Kisame's suicide is so logically incompatible.
- Zetsu : Did he fight at all ? I don't remember.
IIRC, black Zetsu is still alive but captured. He was also never hyped . . .
- Obito : Teleports Kakashi to a world where he can't use his best technique.
Which is what? Kamui? He can still use Kamui, it's just a little risky from there and unlikely to be useful against Kakashi since he can also use it. Obito wanted to convert Kakashi to his side, basically. And it didn't work. But Obito, like Kisame, shows himself to be a dedicated enemy, since he takes himself back to the normal world purely to be used by Madara?
Although it is fair that Obito didn't live up to his hype. Compare Kakashi against Pain to Kakashi against Obito. Sure, he knows how Rinnegan works now, but Obito should basically be able to avoid getting hit by any of Kakashi's attacks. Not to mention Kishi decided to do the whole fight in such a short amount of time, basically using it for the character aspect of the fight rather than developing any of the fight itself.

I'm kind of lost as well. My theory is that he is controlling black Zetsu.

People "moan" because Nagato revived everyone after he literally just killed them, making the deaths in themselves….utterly pointless.

What, because they're brought back to life, it erases everything you felt when they died? Because they came back to life, it means to the reasons they died are irrelevant? They didn't know they were going to come back to life, you don't know it when they die; it doesn't change the impact of the thing in the first place and it doesn't change the impression you get of the characters.

He made death in Naruto literally worthless (before zombies were made of every single dead ninja besides Jiraiya hint hint nudge nudge) and retconned all impact that arc had on the story, rendering any time spent on it pointless.
Bleach's chapter covered Quincy internal politics and debates among members who we've never seen before, which is so intereszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…
Naruto was just terrible - at this point, the Uchiha are like a cancer that's eating away at this series. I really don't see why every single plot has to revolve around them, or why this one clan is inexplicably the strongest in the setting. Madara's managed to surpass Sasuke (even with his nonsensical revenge schemes) and Itachi (even with the blatant character shilling that he receives and everyone treating him like a saint) in terms of how annoying he is, simply because of how nonsensically broken he is coupled with his complete lack of personality. At the rate that this is going, he'll somehow retain unlimited chakra, regeneration, and the Rinnegan, while also becoming the host of the ten-tailed beast, all because he's an Uchiha, which means that the plot will bend over backwards to avoid making his actions have any sort of negative repercussions that are directed at him.
So is the Rinnegan powerless in this Kamui dimension? That's the only reason why Obito could have lost to Kakashi. Obito has honestly been the most disappointing and overhyped villain in any series I've read and can't imagine there's a worse villain written anywhere else. Madara is really pissing me off with his arrogance and stupidity. Kishi knows he's created one of the most haxed characters imaginable with Edo Madara, so the answer is to make him so cocky he lets the pieces for his demise just assemble while he yawns.
I didn't really care about the Bleach chapter. Introduced us to some of the villains and briefly the Quincy political system. I was surprised to see the Quincy be so disobedient, but I almost don't care and wish that not much time in spent on their personalities, perhaps A-D or a hand-full. Really not feeling the Uryuu power boost, but oh well let's see how this plays out…
Hello continuity error! Mohawk and NaNaNa were rendered into cinders by Yamamoto
Hello continuity error! Mohawk and NaNaNa were rendered into cinders by Yamamoto
Well if Harribel's fraccion can survive….(boob defense notwithstanding)
People seem to forget that Obitos main strength was always his invunerability by teleporting to his pocket dimension. Right now they are fighting inside of that thing, he cannot use this without risking of being slaughtered while being outside since, well, there is a freaking war going on. I don't think we ever saw his real skills at some point. We even saw his battle with Minato where he got his ass handed and how he relied way too much on that spacetime jutsu thing.
Also right now he cannot use the same technique he used to espace the 6 billion tags (he has only one sharingan, remember) since I guess he could not escape his own dimension anymore, if he did. Kakashi could just teleport out and let him starve to death inside that thing.

Looks for me like he is being controlled by chakra sticks or something like that, similar to how Pain worked his clones back then. It was stated before Obito is needed for Madara to become the host of the 10-tails.
We should be thankful that (at least for now) it did not end with Talk no Jutsu.

And yet with all that focus I still have no idea what this place actualy lookes like. Is it a bunch of houses inside a big square, is it a huge ant-hill like place with hundreds of rooms and passageways, what ?
I mean I have no idea where these characters were or were going to and you might think that's a nittpick but if I can't even visualise the location due to Kubo not drawing it so much that he leaves me with no idea what to even picture, then how am I supposed to suspend my disbelief ?

Well if Harribel's fraccion can survive….(boob defense notwithstanding)
Speaking of which, did they die ? Like consequently, cause it didn't seem like it.
And what about Nell ?
And what about Chad and Orihime still waiting in HM ? And will Nell actualy figure into the story at all ? How about that thing that Kubo did with, ya know, seemingly getting ready to to explain why Komamura is a furry ?
Why does all that have to be tossed asside in favour of one note random new characters who look the same and I don't give a toss about ?
The only thing I like about this chapter is the dark skinned bearded guy with the eyeball staff spying on them and even that's only because it's lifted from so much other stuff that I'm getting vague deja vu as far as competent storytelling is concerned.
Ugh.. And I was actually hoping someone would respond to my previous post, cause I can't think of anything much to go with "Who said that Sternritters went from A - Z?" and then we get Sternritter… Alpha?? Omega?? Anyone care to guess? It's not that hard, just pick ur dumbest guess and it'll most likely happen.

The highest rank is obviously going to be 'S', as anyone that has ever played just about any Japanese video game could tell you.

And weren't Luchadouche and Spikemask killed by Kenpachi? Silly Kubo…
Or maybe Uryuu will be Bleach-Adam, or Bleach-Abel
Hello continuity error! Mohawk and NaNaNa were rendered into cinders by Yamamoto
Pretty sure Mohawk was seen during that chapter when the quincies retreated already, right after Yamamoto died. Still stupid, but not really an error on Kubos part. Don't know about the others though and won't bother to look it up.
And weren't Luchadouche and Spikemask killed by Kenpachi? Silly Kubo…
i don't read the series but read that chapter(had nothing better to do and was waiting for the one piece).the ones kenpachi kill was a monkey dude, a dude\girl that was always talking and one of the yoid or roid don't remember.
Naruto: So Kakashi and Obito stabbing each other just turns out to be a genjutsu (god, I fucking hate genjutsu battles), but then they fight for really real and stab each other anyway. And then Obito just warps himself out leaving Kakashi stranded (so why didn't he just do that in the first place?). And I have no clue what's going on with Rinne Tensei.
Bleach: Not much to say about this chapter, but if Uryu is the last living Quincy, then who are all these other jokers? And did I see that racist black caricature Sternritter again? I thought Yamamoto killed him.
Sigh, Genjutsu is annoying now, I swear.
Complete apathy to the inner workings of Quincy society.

IIRC they are in Las Noches, and we did spend a whole arc traipsing around there, fighting bizarre Arrancar.

Well … Kakashi can just follow him out or attack and Kamui just his attack etc etc if he has the strength (which, following that fight ... ?) But then, Obito didn't warp out to leave kakashi behind, he warped out to make sure Madara had access to him and that the war would be won.
Yeah, I'm not gonna remember any of these Kuboface Whiteclad mooks' names, apart from As Nodt. I guess He has the most distinctive design, and a name that is both ridiculous and simple, nlike the others.
They're always gonna be Mohawk Renji, PotWoods, Nanananananananaa, Quincy lolita, Quincy luchadore, Quincy Hisagi, Colonel Sanders, Helmet Guy, and it kinda looks like we have a Quincy Cuulhorne now too.
I got a got laugh out of Kubos continued trend of enemy bases being 99% massive, empty space.

Not even Askin Nakk Le Vaar ?

Nah, Hueco Mondo was a desert, the quincies are in some sorta Ice Fortress (because germany is cold I guess? Cold as the GERMAN HEARTS oh Kubo you). But both are so excessively bland that they meld together; it really is blatant how much this is Lac Noches II with the Espada II.
It really doesn't help that Aizens Army had an all white dresscode too.
Oh and didn't the Quincies recruit Arrancars ? I mean before Bach started killing them for doing the thing he told them to do ?
IIRC they are in Las Noches, and we did spend a whole arc traipsing around there, fighting bizarre Arrancar.
I don't think it's been stated where exactly their base is.
Las Noches makes somewhat sense when you consider the Quinazi army back with Opie and the fact that Harribel is still their captive (for whatever reason), but wouldn't the other HM residents say to Ichigo's rescue team "oh yeah, Aizen's old base is covered in ice now"
Plus the architecture of the Vandereich base isn't the same.

Sounds like someone speaking finnish while getting throat surgery
Thats one of the surprisingly great things about OP; sure, Oda fudges up on attack name grammar, but names like Magellan, Violet, Cobra, Foxy etc are easiliy memorable because they're sound like-or are-actual fucking names!
If Kubo wrote One Piece, all those Hong Kong subs would suddenly be extremely accurate. Tanjihado Louflamingo indeed.
Heh, its a fun thought though;
" Behold the warden of Imprell Depths, Magrerra Derrurruru!"
I didn't even notice it was covered in ice the first time round.
