RE: Chapter 790: "Heaven and Earth"
Compare Franky and Law, at least. Good shit for both.
Law wasn't introduced in this arc. Franky's introduction and backstory were all contained in W7, just an arc.
Do you really find Kyros a more interesting original and better developed character than Iceburg? -
RE: Chapter 790: "Heaven and Earth"
Kyros, Cavendish, the Dwarves yes I enjoyed Leo mostly, Bartolomeo, Don Chinjao, Sai, Bellamy, some of the officer like Pink, Lao G, Baby 5 and others were pretty fun to watch(the fatties and Sugar were the lamest ones), I liked King Riku, Dagama and the Elizabelo were fun, Corazon, Sabo and Koala.
Ok, now, compare the development of those characters (except Bartolomeo) with Iceburg or Franky in Water7.

@Doffy.:
This arc easily had the best side / supporting cast i have seen in the entire series .
Who? Rebecca? Violet? King Riku? The dwarves? Diamante? Kanjuro? Countless gladiators that didn't matter?
Easily one of the worst supporting cast in the series. -
RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Suddenly Wahrwelt became Wahrwald in this chapter. Which would translate into true forest. Do they wanna go for a picnic or something?

@Purple:
Nnnnot necessarily. Your point was "These characters are indistinguishable based on a random image," not "these characters are the same in design." If you know the series, just like in a real show with distinguishable looks of characters, of course you'll be able to tell Yamcha apart from Gohan, or Coulson from the rest of the SHIELD cast
Kinda yes and kinda no. Dragonball is a special case, cause you see the characters literally everywhere, not just a random image of them, even without watching the show. My point is that being able to tell the characters apart even without watching the show is a good sign of character design variety, that's all. No offence to the great characters that Toriyama has created.

If you have no familiarity with a cast, even LIVE ACTION people can look indistinguishable.
You are right, but we're talking about comics where there are just many more ways to create diverse looking characters.

RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
I hadn't watched Dragonball and hadn't known who they are or their personality.
To be honest what i'm saying is that a character may look really similar with another one, if the artist just changes the haircut or puts a minor scar. There are more stuff on someone's head, like, a face you know.
This is now the Dragonball Discussion thread. -
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
1)Toriyama-san is fully capable of distinct looking characters.
He can draw distinct characters but let's not exaggerate here, before i watch DBZ i wasn't be able to tell the difference between Goku, Yamucha and Gohan. Basically same face and different haircut. He's pretty good though at drawing different alien type characters.
Anyways, that has nothing to do that Boruto looks like Naruto with banana peels hair.

@Cyan:
Kids looking exactly like their parents isn't just a Kishi thing.
See: Goku's family.That's kinda different, cause Toriyama just suffers from the same-face syndrome. Kishimoto on the other hand is able to draw dinstictive characters. Unless they're parents and kids.
