Naruto is so fucking bad, it's bad, so so bad, fuck you Kishi~ << imagine that as a song
Nardo and Bleh Thread III: Naruto is a terrible terrible manga
-
-
@The:
Repeat that to yourself. You do realize this makes no sense right?
Why are you trying to rationalize it on verbual level? Forget it, appearently no point to post anything for me anyway, since with my level of english I can't make a single decent discussion there.
-
Naruto was really weird and too jokey. Is this really the final battle? I didn't realize the last page was Kakashi and Obito till I came here. I thought Sasuke stabbed Naruto or something.
Bleach why was the title card 16 pages in? sigh Ichigo has terrible reasoning.
-
Once again this chapter consisted of mostly excesively spaced out internal monologues, responses of characters we know jack about and more "foreshadowing but not realy" with Bach wanting to tell his men "something".
….Which is apparently good enough for an end-of-chapter sting.
-
Bleach was good (not often I get to think that) and naruto was good too. So I'm happy.
@The:
Also, wasn't Karin and Suigetsu lab rats for Orochimaru or something
You'd think they'd be a little adverse to his company
Karin already worked under him a lot; she even ran a base for him. And this definitely isn't the first time he's had a loyal labrat … remember Kimimaro?
But I guess its okay because this is MellowOrochimaru, with the motivation of "No Motivation, I just wanna see what happens. Thats so much moe interesting than having ambitions of your own
Orochimaru is very in character, at least with how he was initially presented waayyy back when he was fighting the Third.
And what was Orochimaru's motivation then? "I just want to see what happens … but nothing's happening ... so I'll start a war and see what happens. Oh, shiny Uchiha eyes! #distracted"
But I doubt you were moaning about his motivations then, huh . . .
-
I love how since I made my "Juha Bach is a shit, shit character" post on the blog, it's been weeks, the dude's showed up in flesh twice and we've had his altered version as Zangetsu (also am I the only one wondering why we never learned how Bach's soul piece implanted itself in Ichigo ? I'd expect that to be one of the things Ichigo would have asked since, ya know, it's kind of important) and yet his character has not been fleshed out in the slightest.
-

Uh, Orochimarus motivation was always obtain utlimate body, live forever, learn all jutsus and all that. I don't remember if Sasuke was a spur of the moment thing or not, but regardless, Orochimaru had ambitions and goals of his own, things he wanted to accomplish, and tried to accomplish.
This new Orochimaru has no purpose in life except watching other people do stuff.
-
fuck you kubo
fuck you kubo
fuck you kubo
-
^I bet this makes the Zanpak Rebellion Arc soooooo much better in retrospect, right Gliblord?
I mean
So many new concepts and angles
-
So the idea of a power up now is just dual wielding.
'kay
Now he is going to have to totally respec! Oh wait, he had all his points in getsuga tenshou and that works with two weapons too so its no big deal.
-
@The:

Well, he IS an immortal zombie now, so… mission achieved?
-
Naw, he sprouted from Ankos neck like a tumor, remember?
And now he's in a Zetsu body, after cheating the death-god thing. But looking at Obito and his…heartlessness, I guess Zetsu bodies pretty much are immortal, so I guess you're right
-
Next chapter, ichigo inherited engetsu, so he will use 3 swords style
Cmon kubo, make it happen -
But it seems to me as if Madara said that only he knew how to stay alive independetly. As such Orochimaru still hasn't reached his aim of immortality.
And he still would try to get the bodyof an Uchiha as that would make learning all Jutsu so much easier.
What also freaks me out about Bleach is how Zangetsu I+II are now part of Ichigo. It totaly goes against anything what we learned before. Alone the Zanpaktous of Renji and Hitsugaya weren't exactly human. I mean how can a giant Ice-Dragon and a monkey-snake part of a normal guy.
-
But Orochimaru was never Edo-tensei'd, was he? I thought that his comeback was just due to his special thing as one of the Sannin (crawling into people to leave his cells / soul whatever, only to return later). "White snake of renewal" theme, or whatever that was in part 1?
-
Is he? Orochimaru wasn't edo tensei'd was he? Isn't that just a…piece? of him that came outta Anko's curse seal? He might as well be immortal, if he can just be pulled out of every single person he's ever touched. -w- But yeah, his change is pretty dumb.
-
I don't know anymore but I thought he was edo tenseid but I may be wrong. It allgets fuzzy after the 50th revival. I will look it up.
Edit: You are of course right. In chapter 593 he gets pulled out of a cursed seal but still the other point stands. And even then this "revival" was as BS as Edo Tensei.
-
Don't forget being in a zetsu now
The zetsu that burst from Sasuke as a zit. Shit this manga is weird.
Also, someone more Naruto savvy than me remind me: Why exactly do we care about Bijuu dying? Wouldn't it just pake them pop up again sometime later, hence the entire "seal the damn things in your kids" concept
Is this no longer in effect because they're in the Juubi?
Hell, do we have any guarantee the Juubi won't just reincarnate itself if it dies?
-
The only solution for defeating this not-really-complete-Juubi is to split it into the different parts it was made up of. At least I think that should be the only possible solution otherwise it would be totally nonsensical for the sage of the six paths to do the splitting in the first place.
-
last thing i remembered about orochimaru, he's sick, need new body, and got sealed by sasuke … so what happened?
-
That's what we were told. Killing a biju just makes them revive somewhere else later. I guess it might be uncomfortable for them though. but it didn't mention a thing about them being in the Juubi changing that. A qucik half-assed explanation…maybe since they're being combined back into their true form that's still incomplete (only a tail of the 8-tails and a kin/gin worth of 9) it would just all be destroyed? I do not even remember where the juubi came from, was it the gedou statue thing? Wasn't it's body sealed in the moon or some such, did that come down at some point?
@knceng Well, then Orochimaru popped out of Sasuke's curse seal in the fight against Itachi, but was promptly sealed up in a genjutsu sword. Then THIS Orochimaru came out of Anko's curse seal. Maybe his personality is because he's a different one. -w- (I'm not serious at all of course, that would be ridiculous)
-
Reply to knceng: The short answer is: Kishimoto doesn't really know himself.
The long answer is: He obviously survived in some way in the cursed seals, Kabuto took part of his body into himself and in a fight Sasuke vs. Itachi he resurfaced from Sasuke only to be sealed in a mystical sword for eternity. But then Sasuke used some sort of Seal he made up on the spot to resurrect him from the cursed Seal of Anko.
Reply to DSkull: It seems as if the gedou-statue evolved into the Juubi somewhat. But I am not sure.
-
@No:

Well Zangetsu is Ichigo's Quincy side which I believe on manifests itself as Bach because he's the father of the Quincy and they all are descended from him. As for the Orichimaru thing, it's a radical change yes, but given the fact that the war is going to decide the fate of the world I think it may have put things in perspective for him. He's just realized that he isnt the one to be the center of it all after having been defeated and dying I think.
-
Bleach was ….... confusing. It seems like it makes no sense, but it also seems that Kubo just hasn't explained everything and maybe he (or the translators) worded what ichigo was saying really weirdly.
At least the art was quite nice in the two double spreads. -
I looked it up and it seems the Mazou became an egg from which the Juubi hatched.
-
Ahh…the mazou statue became an egg. Of course. No wait seriously what!? Nevermind that it was so impactful I managed to completely forget about it, how did a statue become an egg that hatched a thing sealed in the moon? Ahh well, thanks for looking it up and answering me wulf xD
I mean I know the statue was holding on to all those chakra's, but that could've been done so much better. What's going to happen to the body sealed in the moon then? Not that the things even threatening to begin with. It did manage to kill...Neji (and some nameless people) so I guess it managed more than Madara. (No seriously, Tsunade should be dead, at least!)
-
This Naruto chapter had many problems, like always, but Orochimaru's characterization wasn't one of them. Since part 1 he wanted to observe every possibility and see things moving. His desires of immortality was a mean to achieve that goal, not the end result. I think it's a good thing that Kishimoto finally went back to the character's roots and ignored that awful flashback where we learnt that Orochimaru wanted immortality because his parents died.

Kubo is actually going to end the explanation of Bachgetsu there
avoiding a number of the glaring issues present throughout the series, he's ending it there
unbelievable -
In the previous chapters Kishi has been doing a decent job in making Sakura look…feminine. And then...in this chapter...he just completely overboard. Go back to drawing Sakura like a man, it wasn't worth that ONE super creepy close up face of Sakura trying to make whatever feminine expression that it's supposed to be.

is this tsunades lower body? and why does it suddenly stand infront of the others? she was with orochimaru first, wasn't she? can her lower body teleport itself to others? that would be a nice feature.

She's streching but with kishi angles is looking like the other's are talking to her legs.
-
I was wondering about this horrible picture for a while but if you look closely you can see her arms. She's supposed to be standing up…
Is it just me or was this chapter even worse than usual? And the "humour" in this series is so god awful, it hurts.
-
Speaking of ugly faces- why would Sakura pretend to smile? Shouldn't she be happier than anyone that her beloved murderer is back in the team?
-

Maybe she inwardly realizes what a massive bastard Sasuke is?
But what would require gasp common sense!
Also, Karin and Suigetsu's little antics annoyed the hell out of me in the beginning.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? Trying to treat him with distrust, but because deep down she stills loves and believes in him she can't stop showing her happiness, even if well disguised.
I don't understand how can somebody that saw, heard and experienced his craziness at least 3 times can only inwardly realize what a massive bastard he is. A good example of this did right his in Btooom!!! With Masahito Date(the bastard) and Shiki Murasaki(the girl that likes the bastard). -

Mind you, Sasuke tried to kill Karin and she was still all lovey-dovey this chapter.

Credit where it is due, Ichigo's new swords look pretty ballin.
Naruto made no sense, what bullshit is Sakura going on about now.

It is exactly the same Orochimaru. He didn't say he was going to stop trying at immortality or anything like that …

Is this no longer in effect because they're in the Juubi?
Hell, do we have any guarantee the Juubi won't just reincarnate itself if it dies?
Them popping up again later doesn't mean it won't be unpleasant for them, nor that the notion of them being burned to a crisp first doesn't upset Naruto. Also, we're told that supposedly keep coming back, but there's no guarantee that that will hold for Amaterasu. And them being 'merged' to form the Juubi throws another unknown into the situation.
The Juubi is different though, since the its body is key to its power (or something like that) so if Sasuke were to be successful in incinerating its body, it wouldn't be as much of a problem (and maybe wouldn't be able to get into mega-ultimate-hyper-number129785698490854 form or something).
Ahh…the mazou statue became an egg. Of course. No wait seriously what!? Nevermind that it was so impactful I managed to completely forget about it, how did a statue become an egg that hatched a thing sealed in the moon? Ahh well, thanks for looking it up and answering me wulf xD

The Gedo Mazo is a form of the Juubi's body, and was transported from the moon to the earth by Madara, who then used it to sustain his life and stuff, until he ended his life support after meeting Obito (which we saw in flashback). So, the body in the moon is the one being occupied by the Juubi right now.
-
But wouldn't a forced smile mean she struggles to trust him?
Mind you, Sasuke tried to kill Karin and she was still all lovey-dovey this chapter.
I'm not saying what you said is wrong!
I'm Saying you're right, Kishi is showing that, but he should show the opposite; the only way the current thing works is if Sakura have a severe mental problem or if her brain in that situation works in the opposite direction of a normal one. Maybe by itself that can be considered a severe mental problem, but in real life exist people considered nomal that behave really stupidly in certain situations, so …
Karin, Ino, Naruto(more because in Kyuubi mode he can feel the emotions of other people) and others are in the same position. -

But wasn't the body of theJuubi that what made the moon? Shouldn't the moon have disappeared? And how would one get the body down anyway? I mean Pain surley didn't use his gravitational force to pull the moon down.
And I really think this "I will observe Sasuke"-Orochimaru is entirely different from a "I want Uchiha-eyes to learn all Jutsu"-Orochimaru that was first introduced. He was very egoistical and powerhungry and would have done anything to get a fully formed Sharingan.
-
Naruto
Orochimaru shone this chapter. He always manages to give off that aura of being cunning and calculated in everything he says and does. Hopefully the future threat Orochimaru possesses is fully realized as he is the best villain in the verse. Karin and Suigetsu's interactions were kind of funny? It looked to drag on what could have been a very quick process of following Orochimaru's orders, and they never really provided us with any information - except for when Karin was speaking internally about Tsunade's condition. I don't understand why Kishi didn't show us Tsunade's aged face if her condition was just going to be remedied in one chapter… That was annoying.I'm very much against the entire decision to pretty much revive all the previous Kage who should have realistically died at the hands of Madara. At the very least Onoki and Tsunade should have died... It would have been an honourable death for Tsunade to have been cut in half and at death's door to still be capable of healing Raikage, Mei, and Gaara. With Orochimaru there to witness her death with some closing words. But anyway, Onoki has incredible durability and endurance for tanking so much damage, and Tsunade needs a bullet to the head to stop. Whatever, we get to see more feats from the Kage, whoop? Kind of more interested in the Hokage's showing off.
Okay, finally. Sasuke's true personality bears fruit, because all that "I'm going to be Hokage!" BS was disgusting. And the monumental shift in Sasuke's goals and ideals from a speech, not to mention what was being foreshadowed as possibly a full (or partial) pardoning for Sasuke post-war if he really stayed goody goody. Although I really liked seeing Sasuke be ruthless and completely opposite to Naruto, Kishi needs to go further. Right now all I can foresee is a clash between Naruto and Sasuke for the title of Hokage based on their differences in ideals. But this is just a replay of what Hashirama's generation endured. This generation needs a conclusion and not the same old cycle of hatred. But at least there's hope for this one, a resistance to the talk-no-jutsu.
Couldn't really care less about Sakura.
The Juubi still isn't impressive, after yet another week. But it's managed to find a solution to Amaterasu's flames faint claps can be heard
Kakashi and Obito. Oh whoop, the worst villain in Naruto and possibly shonen, versus a Ninja who's only ever managed to defeat Zabuza (Alive, and then Edo). I hope they both kill each other and remove their haxxed and inconsistent abilities of S/T manipulation.
Chapter rating 7/10 (Orochimaru carried the chapter, Tsunade needs to be dealt with like a zombie, Sasuke was a relief, Juubi is still fail,
Bleach Dear god that felt excruciatingly long. I know this was supposed to have this effect of an epic reveal, but I wasn't excited. We knew what we were going to get… Another Zanpaktou. There being two Zangetsu's now wasn't out of the realm of possibilities but it was a cool reveal because it gives us more questions. Now I'm more interested in learning of it's abilities, whether the two will have separate abilities, and ever work in unison. And how will the Bankai look, and with what abilities. That to me has always been more interesting than the reveal of the Zanpaktou's design. Can't really say anything about the Quincy, just preluding to next week's chapter.
Chapter rating 6/10 (only 1 thing happened… but it was cool)
-
But wasn't the body of theJuubi that what made the moon? Shouldn't the moon have disappeared? And how would one get the body down anyway? I mean Pain surley didn't use his gravitational force to pull the moon down.
We're told that the legend goes that the Sage of Six Paths created the moon with Chibaku Tensei in order to seal the Juubi's body. And Space-time techniques. Pain didn't do it, Madara did, before Pain was a thing too . . .
And I really think this "I will observe Sasuke"-Orochimaru is entirely different from a "I want Uchiha-eyes to learn all Jutsu"-Orochimaru that was first introduced. He was very egoistical and powerhungry and would have done anything to get a fully formed Sharingan.
Re-read the first chapter of Orochimaru vs Hiruzen. "I want to see things move" was Orochimaru's biggest interest for a long time. Learning many techniques, acquiring power and immortality, these were all more side things/fear of death/a means to be around to see things happen, dependently.
-
So it was implied that Madara used a space-time ninjutsu (which we have no indication that he is very proficient in) to get the body out of the Moon without that disappearing?
And I just can't accept that a relative innocent exclamation "I want to see things move" would lead to experiments on humans and murders. -
Wow. Kishi and Kubo really brought their A game this week. Let's see….
Naruto: After 10 pages of mind-numbing boring filler, Tsunade is revived (after being broken in fucking half) with absolutely no consequences. Friendly Orochimaru continues to make absolutely sense, oh, and I can't believe it looks like he's going to be redeemed (in spite of the countless hundreds is killed) just because he's "changed".
Oh god, but that Sakura panel. God, I literally burst out laughing when I saw that.
Bleach: Atrocious pacing and then Kubo shits all over the Shinigami/Zanpakuto relationship. I'm sure Bleachtards will deem this chapter "brilliant".
-
I'm sure Bleachtards will deem this chapter "brilliant".
From the last few pages of the BA thread:
! > Memories of the "true" Zangetsu all along
The chapter starts off with flashbacks to OMZ (old man Zangetsu) and "Whitey" (Hollow Ichigo) and the intense battle both inside and out that took place during the Kenpachi battle. This scene confirms that OMZ did in fact use Quincy abilities to save Ichigo, and lend him his power in order to defeat Kenpachi. In that memory, Ichigo uses it as a means to say that he won't be saying goodbye to the "Bach" or Quincy part of himself, instead he accepts it fully as a part of himself.
Last week, I'll admit that I really believed that Ichigo would be saying goodbye to that part, but I was wrong and I'm glad I was. This outcome is much better, since Ichigo is not denying any part of who he is. Ichigo has matured a lot to have come to a decision like this, because the old Ichigo that was afraid of even his hollow side, yet alone the "big bad villain image" that OMZ has would never have had the insight nor maturity to make this choice. This is one of those realizations that could only come with time and understanding.
I feel as if what Nimaiya was teaching Ichigo was more akin to an insightful and clever yet simple riddle. What is a Zanpaktou? It is yourself, a manifestation of who you are within. It goes beyond every sort of bond, because if you can't know and accept yourself for who you are, you can't reach your full potential in anything that you do.
Dual Wielding Ichigo
I have to say, I very much love the design of the twin swords. One to represent one halve of his Shinigami but mixed with Quincy power (OMZ), the short dao. One to represent the other halve of his Shinigami power but mixed with Hollow power (Hichigo), the standard big dao. I find the design for the two fitting, as a shorter more "refined" sword definitely fits a more self-controlled Quincy inclined spirit like OMZ, while the much larger more wild "meat cleaving" badass sword represents the nature of his inner hollow much better. I believe the "hollow" like empty "slot" in the bigger version is also suppose to represent this.
Ichigo's fighting style will be interesting to say the least, but we can all be happy that hes finally getting something new. I have a feeling it will at least resemble this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_gauche
Parrying with the OMZ blade fits well, considering that the main Quincy ability Ichigo has is Blut Vein which he like his mother uses mostly as defense. Its also a nice callback to OMZ's (over)protective nature. Going in for the kill with the bigger blade is a no-brainer and of course fits Hichigo's style to a T as well, meaning hes the offensive of the pair.
Overall, its ironic that this reveal happened, in fact I find it as ironic as people calling Zangetsu to be Bach in some way a while ago People have also long said Ichigo would/should dual wield in order to drive across his "dual nature." This reveal has proven that Kubo hasn't really retconned the dynamics of Ichigo's inner space, just expanded on them in a different way and given us a new understanding.
Deicide's Shikai
This entire development honestly reminds me a lot of what happened in Deicide, the only difference being that OMZ & Hichigo are not fused together, but perhaps thats simply the "Bankai version" of what we are currently seeing. Call me crazy, but I don't believe Kubo simply blew off Ichigo's sleeves for show, I think that was deliberate in order to drive home the idea that "Dangai Ichigo" is back.
The duel wielding Dao swords should be Ichigo's truest and hence most powerful version of his Shikai. We never got to see what Deicide Ichigo's Shikai would be like, so logically with the dynamics of Ichigo's nature known and finally in balance, this should be it. Ichigo being that amazing powerful again also means Kubo gets to hold back his Bankai for a while, at least till the final confrontations with Bach occur.
Speaking of Bach, looks like someone is up to no good again holding a Vandenreich peace rally. I wonder what hes about to tell them. Is it time for another invasion? Or perhaps Bach has recruited one of the other War Potentials? Can't wait to find out.
Overall enjoyed this chapter like I said, felt very poetic so it gets 9/10
! > something which came to mind after reading through some posts;
ichigo had/has this very special bankai with the compression theme. we thought it was unique but that wasn't the case since the previous CC's bankai also incoporates the compression theme - he's a confirmed badass.now ichigo's new zanpakuto are dual blades.
who else has 'em? yup, the new CC and ukitake - also confirmed badasses.so then ichigo has all the traits which were being associated by superior shinigami before. coincidence? of course not, he's just that badass
moving on; as it was mentioned before ichigo's current shikai kimono has a strong resemblance with hisagi's what it being whitout sleeves. so I wonder if this'll stay or if it's only because the sleeves were burnt of due to the heat and reiatu floating around when ichigo touched zangetsu.
but already it seems his markings on his hands, chest (tatoos???) and also the choker or whatever it was around his neck are gone. clearly there are changes with his design. I wonder how it'll turn out.! > Ichigos new swords look awesome, while his smaller sword looks bit weird, HE IS DUAL WIELDING, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS HERE!!!
The last part was quite awesome and gave me impression of the infamous salute that germans gave to a certain ruler. I wonder if that ruler did the same thing as Juha Bach here.
As for what will happen in the near future, Juha Bachs news will either be about the new recruit (Ishida) and probably insta promotion to be Juhas left hand man. Also, he probably orders the Stern Ritter to prepare for new assault. The question is where… They could try and assault SS, but Zero Squad will be there, so it would not be wise. So the other way to cause trouble is to attack human world and destroy all the hollows there with hollow bait. And I hope Bambietta will be the commander of this operation. (Dammit, just couldnt help it)
-

! WTF. This aside, how do Bleach fans delve into the non-existent deep and mysterious meaning of Bleach? It boggles my mind. They make mountains out of specks of dust.
When I read a chapter of Bleach, I read it, nothing make sense, and my final comment on it is: "Okaay.."
! Naruto: Boooraaang. Although do I have a glimmering hope that there's a hidden agenda with Sasuke&crew? -

burst out laughing? LOL I hope you weren't eating
I don't think Orochimaru will be forgiven ,but then again ;forgiving is one of the most famous thing in Naruto
But kinda weird, you know…in the beginning of Naruto ,we saw the scary and strong Orochimaru ;but then we saw him eventually being comedical and kind
Dammit, looks like Naruto got the charisma-to-make-everyone-be-ally just like Luffy
