When it is proven it is a sexist reason Zoro doesnt fight her than you can nag about it endlessly.
So. Fucking. Much. THIS.
God, just stop already.

When it is proven it is a sexist reason Zoro doesnt fight her than you can nag about it endlessly. Until than please stop it or go to the right thread. Nothing in this chapter really prove that it is sexist although it is likely. You have already completely claimed it is that way, nothing has been proved thus you can stop talking about it.
Goodbye Applesauce.
P.S Even though if it is right or wrong to discuss it. It just makes everyone think you as really annoying if you keep discussing it endlessly like you have. If you want everyone thinking you are really annoying please keep on, if not I recommend you to wait at least a week until it is truly proved the reason is the sexist reason.
I don't care about being right.
And this "Sexism" topic was only discussed for quite a few post. Most of the post are bickering between me and other stuck up members. I'm just stuck up as well and don't want them to have it their way. When their claims are post of mine about "Sexism" which aren't that many that are on topic and they continue to insult me and Repeating things.

Oh for the love of Gan Fall, Stop replying to it!
zoro is in love with monet, that explains it all:p.
@steven:
zoro is in love with monet, that explains it all:p.
Makes sense, seeing that Zoro is actually Ace and Monet is actually Sabo. Duhhh. Oh and Law is actually Zoro. This is probably the most reasonable explanation right?
As I am re-reading this chapter I am starting to think Zoro perhaps isn't attacking Monet yet, because he wants to see if he can learn anything from her. I think about all his previous fights, he has learned various levels of cutting and moves, perhaps he is thinking she might have some skill he can borrow and refine. A long shot but perhaps something he picked up training under Mi-Hawk.
Wait, I just remembered.. Law asked Monet to help him with something(with her ability) back before Vergo showed up. Maybe that Zoro isn't attacking has something to do with Law's plan? If not why/what for did Law ask her for help? I completely forgot about that detail, wow.
Quick change of the subject:
So that was it for Yarisugi? I wanted to see more of him. He reminds me of T-Bone, with his strange appearance and the exaggeration-gag; and they both have ugly faces~
Also Monet became more interesting than I thought. Hehe, I loved her snow-monster form.
And finally Mocha and the other kids: that scene was done very well (even though the magnificent translation left TWO WHOLE BUBBLES EMPTY) and it made me think of Caesar a bit more. Until this point, I didn't really liked him and thought he's another joke-villain who isn't that unique. Now, I despise him; his bad acting, his heartlessness, his cruelness combined with possible insanity. And I love it. I love how finally I have strong emotions concerning this particular character. At first I said: "Oh well, duh, I wanna see more of the giant kiddies or Monet" but now "SCREW YOU YOU SICK BASTARD!" ehehee~
I don`t actually despise Ceasar, even when he does the most cruel stuff so far in the manga.
His joker-like character makes him more fun as it may be good , even when i like twisted crazy characters.
But still having him with less hilarious faces would make him for me an even stronger character to hate afterall.
I guess because of the cruel stuff he does Oda rly felt the need to brighten it up a bit with a crazy attitude, because having Ceasar as a serious cruel scientist could be way to heavy for such an overall fun-manga.

Yeah, Caeser has been developed into a great villian, those that we love to hate but has a personality (far better than Lucci or Hodi), he's twisted (more than Hodgeback-at least he simply played with the dead), a big drama queen that lets henckmen do fighting and only fights when has to (similar to Moriah, but he only stole shadows of living, not test on kids) He is no longer easy to put into one label, but when we did find the closest type, (mad sceintist of worst type) he really fills it out. His goals and how he act/reacts to big events isn't so easy to predict.
He's currently #3 of my fave OP villains

Here's hoping but not expecting it to be Buggy, Kaku, Ceasar
Here's hoping but not expecting it to be Buggy, Kaku, Ceasar
Sorry to dissappoint, It was close though ;)
Buggy used to be #2, but now he's #4. Heck this arc has added two to my fave villians.
Formerly= Crocodile, Buggy, Doflomingo, (and that was it, didn't really have a #4 & #5)
New list=
1- Crocodile
2- Monet
3- Caeser
4- Buggy
5- Doflomingo
Zoro is not going to push his interests on the crew. He already matured beyond that point. Even if he's interested in going there, Luffy will be the one to decide in the end if they're going or not, and Zoro probably wouldn't want to become a factor in that decision.
The last person who tried to push his interest on the crew was Usopp back in Water 7. You know how well that turned out.
Why do people always assume the extremes? I never said (and I hope I didn't imply) that Zoro will issue an ultimatum like "we go to Wano or I leave!!!!". I simply said that he could be the reason why Luffy decides to sail to Wano. As in: buildup for the upcoming arc. Just like Chopper and Nami were the reason why Luffy decided to rescue the children. Zoro making the suggestion would be a "first", but totally understandable considering that we speak of an island/country inhabited by Samurai.
Seriously, I thought topics concerning Sanji are sensitive, but Zoro puts it on a whole nother level.
Yes! exactly people like you and Sick Fool. I had already stopped even though its on topic but someone called me out.
Urouge and Rob Visited the thread, don't know if they read anything but it seemed fine to them. (well Urouge anywayz since his post had discussed a similar issue.)
You know, I'm pretty lenient about this sort of thing, because it's a point of contention for this chapter whether people like it or not. However, this has gotten tired and out of hand. If you insist on droning on about it endlessly, take it to the thread that's designed for it. Hell, for every post you make about the topic, you make 3 more in the form of complaints against it.
So no, I don't think it's particularly off topic here. But the relentless way you keep arguing about it is doing too much to overtake the thread. Moving the argument is too easy of a solution not to use.

You don't understand, you can't criticize Zoro because he is ZORO !
Whenever he sheaths his swords and degrades the enemy with a james bondish one liner his entire fanbase ejaculates at the same time.
If Zoro doesn't fight back, it is because his attacks are too strong and nothing else because Zoro doesn't have flaws.
Zoro keeps his eye closed, not because his eye is cut out NO! his eye holds the ultimate haki and likes to make fights more challenging.
come on man, be a little more careful we're talking about the Zoro here, the man who has been riding completly anonymous with the Strawhats ever since the timeskip.

The Actual topic was discussed quite nicely for about 20 pages, then there were a few having a fit in some of those pages claiming BS accusation against me but it was fine again until more people started to revive it as personal attacks.
Then it just became trolling on my and other members part.
You won't hear from me again on this thread.

I would turn this into my new signature, but cartoon-Jabra is a necessity in order to keep my cool around these parts of AP.
Just relax, let's build some sandcastles.
aw, what a chapter..
I really itches me, why Zorro holds back so much..!! And now Tashigi stays behind "to help him"… I hope he'll get in "beast mode" next week....
unbearable tension[..]:ninja:

Best post this week… Awesome
BTW
I'm the only who is still interested in Monet's harpy appearance... I still wonder if she really asked Law for unknown reasons to change her... Than it would be interesting to see why... Or, while very unlikely, it has something to do with her snow DF... I could understand the wings made out of snow... But that legs seems like beiing attached... Very interesting in my eyes

Are you sure it's not sharingan?
Are you sure it's not sharingan?
Sharingan doesn't goes well to swordsmans look what hapen to sasuke when he wen't against killer bee he only starts whinning when he stops using the sword
mochya will have to eat all the candies to protect the other children from them. She will turn into ultra mochya and kill vergo. then she will die(soon) from the drugs cutting her life short
squints eyes, grinds teeth, taps fingers
Holy shit, this forum sometimes lol. It took all I had to resist posting.
Seeing how Monet tries to "save" the kids, knowing how she fears Dofla, it means that the experiment going on the kids is more important than the one with Shinokuni ?
'lotta people think it's simply Doflamingo wanting a giant army. Makes me think that the direct arc after this is going to be more focused on Doflamingo than Big Mom, because the tea party isn't for a few days and that's a lot of time in the weekly way we read One Piece. Doflamingo is going to be pissed at the development with the kids, and I doubt the kids are going to actually successfully turn into giants at the end of all this… Would be a little too morbid.
@Miss:
You know, rereading the chapter it makes me laugh how Zoro was fine with Sanji and the guys slipping and breaking their heads open when that's how Kuina died.
Hahaha, this is awesome. Didn't even think of that.
I'm so late but this chapter was good especialy the humor with sanji/g5 marines interaction with zoro/monet and the last pages.
Im having dificulty on seing any improvements on the marines even with akainu as fleet Admiral maybe is just the forgetten ones(g5) but were is the rise in "power" on the marines?
G-5 is just some derelict bunch of Marines–Oda still hasn't chosen to show the Marine's upgrades yet. As with what Sentoumaru said in the past near the start of the timeskip, you can expect new Pacifista models, and along with that a lot more numbers and perhaps higher training of the Marines.
I'm thinking to go along with the story freedom is going to be a lot more restricted with Akainu's rule. Also, you can expect dirtier tactics as Akainu was shown to fight dirty in the war (getting Squardo to stab Whitebeard). Maybe the Marines will poke you in the eyes or something now.
Wait, I just remembered.. Law asked Monet to help him with something(with her ability) back before Vergo showed up. Maybe that Zoro isn't attacking has something to do with Law's plan? If not why/what for did Law ask her for help? I completely forgot about that detail, wow.
I think we all need to start including this in our theories about why Zoro's mainly defending. I must admit that completely whooshed over my head. How would Zoro have gotten wind of this though? But even if it doesn't involve Zoro, that's a plot thread of Punk Hazard worth considering.
I would turn this into my new signature, but cartoon-Jabra is a necessity in order to keep my cool around these parts of AP.

I agree you need to keep the cartoon Jabra… but you need to add that line to your sig!
@nodensuke:
Coming from the one single person here who contributes nothing but "lol, sabo" comments and stating everything you say as a matter of fact…
Oh yeah, I forgot this. http://apforums.net/images/smilies/ipb/ninja.png
i gotta agree…name calling and repeating the sarcastic sabo comments...i observed it for a while now...

Amazing. Post of the thread!
It's not pretty cool to be off topic, insult quite a few members directly, and insult many other members who actually have a spectrum disorder. I don't think you know what autism is, based on your posting history, I'm assuming that you think autism is Sabo. :ninja:
this is pretty funny…especially the last line...LOL
Only if you could rep around here, go Elfman.
@Rotten:
If Monet's form was a fruit it would be a Paramecia, not a Zoan.
Uh… Isn't she a Logia?
I don't get you guys in this thread, you keeps talking about the same thing but failed to see the biggest problem with Zoro this chapter:
"I'd love it if they slipped in the snow, hit theirs heads and died."
I know its been many years but man Zoro you are a dick.

But, but. We all know that stairs and "accidental slips"are the biggest antagonists in this manga. Blackbeard, Akainu and Dofla can only wish fondly to be in that level of badassery.
!
"I'd love it if they slipped in the snow, hit theirs heads and died."
Mangastream has it as "I hope you slip and crack your skulls." Which is the correct translation?
"Slip on the snow, hit their heads, and die" is more literal. Cracking skulls is an embellishment, but not a bad one by any means.
I opine that Zoro has figured out something about Monet that no one else in the crew has; something about her past or nature or true intentions, which is why he's holding back. Either that or he's preparing some fire attack, an idea that has already been mentioned. Not being able to control haki or, similarly, having underdeveloped haki, or not wanting to damage the complex (or waiting until his crew members leave the vicinity) are what I believe to be weak reasons. I'm fairly confident that Zoro has honed his power to be accurate enough to dispatch his opponents with minimal collateral damage. This new-found chivalry theory to the point where he doesn't take female opponents seriously is contradictory to his ideals, so I don't buy that either. So yeah, I'm leaning towards either trying to test out a new move against a novel opponent, or he knows something about Monet that's making him abate his own strength. Hopefully it's cleared up next week.

Little things I enjoyed about the chapter that I forgot to mention: Monet sparkles on the top right panel of the page where she blushes. So whenever she gets compliments, she sparkles and blushes. Hahaha. I also really liked the panel layout of the flashback with the kids. You have the kids being named, and as each kid's name is introduced, you can see the contrast between their past and present selves by the panels going: *Uzu in nice flashback form: "Hi, I'm Uzu!" <next panel="">Uzu shouting "RAUGGGHHH GIVE ME CANDY", repeat for all of the children.
More effective than just introducing the kids in the flashback panels and then them screaming at a random point later in the chapter.</next>

Pretty much in agreement here.
Although, with Tashigi aiming to jump into the fight and clearly being able to hurt Monet, I have to wonder how that will turn out.
I can't imagine a tag-team for simple reason that Zoro is clearly strong enough on his own to take Monet out, that much I don't doubt. Perhaps Tashigi will charge in and fail, leaving it to Zoro, but that would further undermine her character, and negate much of the development she supposedly underwent as a swordswoman.
Difficult to say which way it will go, but I'd wager the fight will get interrupted by Luffy, Caesar, or Doflamingo's goons arriving.
Really gotta love how the suspense is maintained even by little things like that week to week.
I loved this chapter, matter of fact I've read it three times already. I liked the panels where Zoro's exchanging strikes with Monet using their swords, I wonder why isn't Zoro taking Monet seriously? I'd understand if it were Sanji….but Zoro? speaking of the former, it was hilarious when Sanji told the marines to make fun out of Zoro. Monet blushing? Finally Sanji's compliments did the trick, Monet is the first woman to blush because of Sanji's compliments, isn't she?. That aside,as someone pointed out before Monet looks like a feminine version of Hody Jones when she's in her monster form, it was cool how Nami proved she can hold her own when Zoro implied she was unarmed. As for the ending, Finally it looks like Tashigi will redeem herself, I'd like to see Tashigi taking Monet down, however, I don't think Zoro is gonna let that happen because of his pride. Can't wait for Doflamingo's goons' arrival. Looking forward to next chapter.
I'm probably looking into this way too much, but on that panel where Monet has a tattoo on her left arm, it looks kind of like a faun? Maybe she was in some 'chimera club' as Greg mentioned a while ago.
I enjoyed this post a lot, just FYI. Well-reasoned and articulate.

Is there a break this coming week? Or is someone just pulling my leg? Thanks in advance.
so….guys, sorry to bring this up and i would like to get a clarification....
does nico robin have CoA??????? coz she actually hit a logia like monet...but maybe because monet's monster form is compressed snow???
it makes sense though if she can use CoA...since she trained with RA.

From the looks of it there's no break this week. But I'd wait for confirmation from Aohige or kaze

I think she just shattered the compressed snow, in other words Monet's form at the time was tangible.
Ice and Snow logias seem to be different in the sense that you can actually "break" them, but doing so causes them no harm.
Robin already broke Aokiji in half. But that did nothing.

Yeah, most likely. Monet didn't look hurt at all.
In fact the most interesting part of that scene is that Robin doesn't only do her usual arm-cross pose and afterwards looks like she's hitting something with her palm–which is very similar to the move her grown hands did. It's a nice visual flair showing a more subtle way Robin's improved her powers (I don't think she's ever done a move like that before where she's more punching something than grabbing it)
I get the lining up of 2 articulates, but he used that in reaction to my post? So I took it as I was the "mentally challenged person", as that's how reaction pictures like that work on forums 99% of the time.
But this isn't worth pursuing.
siiiiiiiiiiighEdit: The reaction image thing isn't worth pursuing is what I meant, not the reactions to the reaction picture. I really need to let off some steam somewhere lol.
Lol, didn't mean to insult you I posted that picture because of the articulate thing, obviously i had to use it in a reaction to your post since you used that word, if I posted it in a reaction to the person you quoted no one would've gotten it.

Meh. My posts kind of take away from the reaction post, so I'll go ahead and delete them.
