Zoro will defeat Kaidou in a drinking contest, and Kaidou will be so ashamed of himself that he'll agree to submit and become Zoro's subordinate.

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
@S.C.:
And still no official new crewmate since it was made.
IIRC, No official new crew-mate has joined since the previous 1000+ page thread was made either, and possibly the one before that. But that's a function of the most recent new member having joined back in 2006-ish I think? We've been running on 9 for well over a majority of the series's run time.

RE: Dumb Predictions
Hawkins will get his ass kicked by Luffy and Zoro, and per his own statement, become their subordinate. He's the last Crewmember.

RE: Dumb Predictions
@S.C.:
If Big Mom does set out for Wano, Blackbeard will raid Totto Land to get his hands on her Road Poneglyph. And then will do the same to Kaido once the Wano Country Arc is done.
That is way too probable to be in this thread.

RE: Chopper's forms
Is Kuma still considered a Warlord? I feel like his current status sort of precludes him from doing any warlord things, but I don't know if it was ever made official.

RE: Dumb Predictions
And the reason he was upset with Luffy for becoming a Pirate was that he was grooming him to become his sleeper agent that would rise to become Fleet Admiral.

RE: Dumb Predictions
People keep saying that Jinbe needs a dream to join the crew. But Joining the crew IS his dream–he's going to spend the rest of the story repeatedly catching up to the Sunny only for events to unfold in such a way that he has to split off again and promise to join up later. He won't officially join until the crew reaches Raftel.

RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
@Kaido:
Elbaf is written in katakana (エルバフ), which is the Japanese lettering system for spelling foreign words and so phonetically is Erubafu. There's no confirmation (I think) that Oda based it off of fable but when the phonetics support that spelling then it's pretty much the obvious choice. Viz's "Elbaph" is technically not wrong since it's pronounced the same, but most people are gonna prefer the spelling with connotations.
Alright, thanks!

RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
This might be a bit of a random question, but are English Translations considered when Oda names characters and places in One Piece? I'm specifically wondering about stuff like, say, 'Elbaf", which is widely considered to just be the English word "Fable" spelled backwards. Is it called "Elbaf" phonetically in Japanese based on the English wording? Is it some version of the Japanese language equivalent to "Fable" spelled or pronounced backwards so the reference was translated? Or is it something different entirely?
Just a thought that popped into my head today at work.
