Perhaps I need to re-read the chapter, but the second part of the chapter I found real boring and had a hard time keeping my attention. I enjoyed the prison portion and story background.@Robby:

"Oh, btw, Kid has also run into all the emperors in the new world. It's not just Luffy doing the crazy" is a little forced.. but I guess the NW is entirely territory claimed by the emperors.

I would have loved the chapter even more if more panels were spent to Kid rather than the old scammed guy.

Same it was really slowing down the pace of the chapter.

I find it a little disturbing how calm and cocky the Strawhats are about Luffy being in prison. I know they're confident in him but damn, not even a shred of worry or doubt or wanting to go help him themselves. Have things gotten so formulaic that even the main cast knows they're unbeatable?

I would echo that sentiment if this part of the crew was involved in WCI and realized how perfect things had to go to escape. I think they would be a lot more worried if they realized how hard it was to escape BM. I kind of like that they said he will get out, it is a nice way of saying we are going to leave Luffy in the story and focus on everyone else. The rest of the crew will probably be the main focus for a long time in the story. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a major power up in our absence, possibly training with Kidd.

Great chapter I love how stealth like Usop moves as well as Sanji cooking for the ladies. Love the back and forth between Luffy and Kidd. Looks like Kidd has the same body type as Luffy, I wonder if it has something to do with Conquerers haki.

Wow straight treating Jack like he is a little beeyotch. I thought Shiryu already had a devil fruit, man he is going to be some match for Zoro. Damn.

I thought his bounty was frozen once you become a Warlord, Shibukai?

Kaido probably doesn’t want to kill them because they are stronger than he thought. Frieda didn’t kill all the men he came across he kept strong ones and made them work for him. Especially now that they have conquers haki it would be a waste to kill such a useful person. In Kaidos eyes he probably thinks if they try and rise up I can kill them ie Bardock and eventually Vegeta on Namek. Don’t know why I have so many Dragonball references.

If that is the case they sure are night and day, Kidd use to kill people good and bad according to rumors. I did find it off that Luffy could use conquers haki while knocked out. Also how would he know when to use it and why would it take so long to activate. I don’t expect Kidd to be 100% but he doesn’t even look 1% more healed than we saw him weeks ago.

I think we just got our glimpse into how Luffy will get his “power up” the mature mature fruit, possibly touch him and Kidd to make there devil fruits stronger and more advanced. Unlocking Gohans hidden power by the elder on Namek.

Was that before or after the time skip? Also that was such a gag he was tricked. Zoro said this is the new world stop playing around yet Luffy goes In headfirst guns blazing.

Thinking back on what Zoro said to Luffy when he almost lost to Caesar, I wonder what Zoro would say if he saw Luffy right now. I vaguely remember him saying he would leave if Luffy lost again.

I think it does because he has been very cocky since getting it, he was cocky when he fought Katakuri but not the same. Fan boys will be pissed when Zoro gets it because he might have the same characteristics. Perhaps also that is why the guy was in seclusion with only Tama.

I assume Oda intentionally made the transition so fast so that it emphasizes on the speed of his attack that even G4 Luffy couldn't react to it. It was a straightforward attack with a huge club that hit his head spot on. Normally he could've avoided it but it just speaks words on the speed of that one attack.

I love the fact it was a blunt object that appears to have hit him with no Haki. That further highlights the strength gap because everyone knows blunt attacks are useless against Luffy.

I don’t expect an assault power up but how do you think Luffy will close the gap between him and Kaido. I know he won’t 1v1 him but a team will have to at least be up to Katakuri level.
