Nami look slightly Okami-ish in that costume. Much prettier than the pink abomination that's her default.

So Luffy's costume will come at release date on March 1st and Nami's a week later on March 8th.
Is it free or what does it cost?I wonder the same thing.
And how to download Japanese dlc?
How to pay them especially? PleaseI shall be disappointed to have no access there because I have pre-order the Japanese version of the game and I do not have to be the only one
-
Just make a Japanese PSN Account and you're fine IF the DLC is for free.
If you have to pay though you'll need Japanese PSN Cards.A page or two before this one there's a link for a tutorial making a Japanese PSN account.
-
Wow of all the outfits to choose, how dissapointing
-
god, nami's DLC looks awesome !
i hope they announced the release date for the eu version on the jap release date and i hope it will be available soon. if they gonna release it half a year from now i might just gonna buy the jap version first. -
Wow of all the outfits to choose, how dissapointing
Pretty much my thoughts too. I just want play as Zoro with his plain white shirt really.
-
DLC makes total sense
It IS a Musou game, after all
-
20 hours just for Luffy's main log? Color me impressed. Nami also looks pretty damn gorgeous in her kimono outfit. Wonder if they'll all get one. Samurai Franky would be a sight to behold. Think they'll add Time-skip outfits or wait for the sequel?
If they do do a sequel I'd imagine they'll wait awhile considering they don't have much else they could put in a sequel. Then again, that never stopped Dragonball or Naruto.

Yeah a ONE PIECE Musou game. There are so many different outfits to choose from and they choose the generic Samurai one? Pfft
-
Playing Usopp in a samurai outfit? I can dig that.

Based on Oda's design, nevertheless. Deal with it.
-

I didn't think that they were going to release a whole lot of DLC all at once. They're most likely going to spread out the DLC releases over the course of a few weeks or months.
-
i just want strong world outfits.
-
those DLC outfits are beyond awesome, I so wanna get Zoro's!!! :3
-

What, you mean the COOLEST single illo designs Oda's done in all 15 years of the series? The Samurai looks are awesome.
I don't know why people want Zoro in plain white shirt when you have badass colorful intricate samurai motif, AS DRAWN BY ODA, instead. As a bonus!
-
Btw, I really like the samurai designs. It's just that I'd love to play as Zoro with the white shirt, it feels kinda…...iconic? I don't know.

Not enough for a sequel? If you look closely this game only covers half of the arcs in OP. Even if they don't include them all they still have at least half-a-dozen arcs to cover, two of them (Skypea and Thriller Bark) are major arcs and now they got material to cover the Fishmen Island and the New World. And they won't take what they got us in this game, they'll just add more giving us more playtime.
I'm guessing a sequel announcement same time this year and then maybe a year and a half or two year break, but if soI could see them releasing 3 games in 3 years.Damn those costumes are sweet. I was expecting just manga faithful costumes not something so cool. It seems they even changed a bit of Nami's face model to get it just like the drawing.
But I will resist the will to buy the unlock codes. If they're announced already it means they're in the disc and you're buying something for a second time, it would be like buying a book, reading most of it but then you had some pages glued and had to buy a glue-dissolver from the publisher to be able to read them.
And since I'll be waiting for the eurpean release which will come at least 6 months later there's no reason for it not to be on the disc.Btw, we should hear about a release outside Japan in what? A month? Two?
-
I'd also like to point out that anyone who thinks those DLC costumes will be free downloads is delusional. They'll probably cost 4-5 bucks apiece.

Hard to say. Dynasty Warriors 7 DLC ranges from 99 cents for classic DW outfits, to $4.99 for premium outfits for only some of the characters. Fist of the North Star ranges from $4.99 to $6.99 due to its DLC packs bundling costumes, new playable characters and stages together. The only strict costume DLC is Kenshiro's manga/anime outfit for $2.99. 3 bucks for a single outfit for a single character, and the characters canon outfit no less. Ouch.
Looking at this DLC reminded me that if a character isn't playable in the game at first DLC can change that. Fist of the North Star's seems to make quite a few villains playable.

In Japan Hokuto Musou's DLC wasn't like that. 100 yen for a stage, 300 yen for a single costume, 800 yen for a character. Then later after the game tanked they dropped the prices to 50/100/300, and made a bundle of all of it for 1500 yen. I kinda wish DLC for everything would be like that…
Oh and the classic DW outfits and music are free in Japan, but cost money here.
-
Yeah Buuhan but this game is published by Namco Bandai. The costumes will be individually priced at $too much, and the challenge mode DLC will no doubt be sold separately.
Basically as is often the case, Japan has no idea what to charge for extras like this in a way that will seem reasonable.
-
Don't care much for any of these DLC clothes. They look nice and all but not enough to make me pay money out for
-
I probably won't pay for doc costumes.at all. Challenge mode.maybe.but thats it
-
So I tried per-ordering it off of Amazon Japan. I got an error message. Anyone else have this problem?

Do you live somewhere other than Japan?
-
You should use Play-Asia or another game importing site. Amazon JP shuts out a lot of products from international shipping, and the ones that do, they tack on absolutely ridiculous S&H charges.

Alright. Thank you Stephen.

And we're suppose to know where this is?

how did you get 3000 yen for the costumes? or do you mean you pay for a card of 3000 yen and spend only a little bit for the costume. then yeah it costs 3000 yen :/
-

Japan :-0
and those card are like gift cards or those xbox cards where u can use it to buy different things until it's finished, I don't think a custom cost ¥3000 in total :-/ -

Your amazing skills of deduction have won you another amazing case.
Yes, I'm not buying a 3000 yen card…

I can't wait for this game, i don't even care anymore that they left Skypia, Thriller Bark and Kuro arcs out. I just hope this game sells enough so we can get a sequel with these arcs and the rest of the ones they left out. I will get a japanese psn card in case there is some dlc for this game i want but i am not interested in the costumes they showed so far. Afro Luffy would be a day one buy for me tough.
-
well you also have this
but it still is too expensive.
-
UGH WOULDNT WANT TO GET A JPN PSN CARD!! But if Afro Luffy is DLC i can't say no I AM WEAK
-

Don't worry about this, they already got over 500,000 pre-orders, way more than they expected! They'll definitely make a sequel!
Damn, still no VS-Mode confirmed? :/

- One Piece: Kaizoku Musou (PS3) – 9/9/9/9 (36/40)
- One Piece: Gigant Battle 2: New World (NDS) – 8/8/9/8 (33/40)
- One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP (3DS) – 8/7/8/8 (31/40)
- One Piece: Unlimited Cruise: Episode 1 (Wii) – 8/8/8/7 (31/40)
- One Piece: Gigant Battle (NDS) – 8/7/8/7 (30/40)
- One Piece: Unlimited Cruise: Episode 2 (Wii) – 7/7/7/7 (28/40)
- One Piece: Gear Spirit (NDS) – 7/6/5/6 (24/40)
Best score yet. Not keen on Famitsu's rating system, but I'm now definitely going to have a playthough before an English version comes out! I just hope that Kaizoku Musou has enough replay value for a second playthrough. (Fist of the North Star was terribly repetitive!)
The next couple of weeks should be very interesting!
-
3000 yen to buy costumes? Count me out.
Obviously you would save the remaining yen for future DLC
-
One week left until release!
-
So, I really don't want to look through 80+ pages… Is there going to be a US release for this? Is there any hope at all?
-
So, I really don't want to look through 80+ pages… Is there going to be a US release for this? Is there any hope at all?
Having read through most of the 80+ pages there has been so many pre orders that it would be silly for them not too release elsewhere. I believe a patent for this game has already been made in Europe, so its pretty strong indication that there will be a state side release. Other games in the genre like Fist of the North star and Gundam warriors have seen release in the US and Europe and this game so far has better reviews and more interest even pre-release. Nothing absolutely confirmed for USA yet.
-
No official announcemnts yet (there won't be for a month or two after the Japanese release), but there are a few positive signs that make it seem likely.
-
Who wants to do online co-op with me for the whole story? ;p
