Chapter 655: Punk Hazard
-
-
This was the most satisfying chapter of one piece I've every read. So satisfying that I can easily and calmly wait for next week's chapter because Oda doesn't deserve my impatience after such a flawless chapter. One Piece is in a class of it's own.
-
sorry if someone already posted it but the genius secretary already appeared on the cover story in chapter 487.
http://www.mangareader.net/103-2594-1/one-piece/chapter-487.html http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/655Thats what I totally forgot: I would have chosen the hot secretary!
Bout the question if Punk Hazard (PH) is the island BB and Bonney have been:
If u look @ the architecture u see sum Mayan/Indian-lookin statues on the island BB was (in almost every panel to begin with).
On PH there are no statues at all.
So IMO the island BB was =/= PH.If u doubt Robin's line that the buildings look like a marine base, just look at the architecture on EL and Marineford (town-lookin stuff in front of the courthouse and the buildings around Marineford-center). IMO those buildings on PH and EL/Marineford look very similar.
-
What can I say? I think everyone is very glad that SH crew entered New World at last. So am I. This is the thing we have been waiting for.
Oda gave a fan service to both Male & Female readers at the start of New World Journey. Can't wait to see what will happen next.
Though MS was taken down & God knows what will happen to other scantlation sites. Its not a good feeling to see scantlation sites getting down.

Hmm… i guess i need to explain this more clearly.
Look at this two pages and read them carefully.! http://i996.mangareader.net/one-piece/655/one-piece-3027925.jpg
! http://i996.mangareader.net/one-piece/655/one-piece-3027919.jpgOk.
Tashigi Tells us that Punk Hazard is an island Closed off for at least 4 years.
Its deserted
and that she finds it strange that there are people there.
We obviously can assume that its a government island which they are trying to hide; there are Marines and Government Symbols at the gates and since there's no Magnetic pull towards it. We can also assume this info is Up to date since it's coming from a source who are well informed.
Unlike what your implying with Brook who might be giving us 50 year old info.Brook Tells us that Wano is a country with closed door policy to outsiders.
They aren't affiliated with the government.
and that The Samurai's is a nation so strong that Not even the Marines go Near them.If we do the math it's pretty obvious that Punk Hazard is not Wano. Lets pretend that what Brook is giving us is 50 year old info and so much happened that the wano country was wiped out with only a few remaining Samurai's and/or moved to a different location. and Wano country is now a WG Experimental island….
I don't see this happening. since The wano Country is a Strong Nation That Marines don't dare go near them.
Its quite obvious i don't think i need to explain this further. Thanks man I feared being the only one trying to explain this - I don't see why the f*ck people even come to the conclusion that it's the same island. It just doesn't make any sense at all.
-
my thoughts about the chapter:
Muahahahhahah… Made my day
-
I see a lot of people thinks Akainu & Aokiji fought in Punk Hazard. I disagree. One of my friend in NF gave a good explanation. Going to copy paste it.
It says it has been off limits since the incident. That implies that that off limits rule has been in place unbroken since then. Perfect place or not. It could be an effect from one of Vegapunk's experiments. Remember he was experimenting with the idea of having an island heating system for his home land. Nami remarked that the clouds above suggest that the island is naturally freezing. Yet it's on fire. It could be Vegapunk first chance at testing a heating system for his home land gone dangerously wrong. Makes more sense as well with the name.
In their twitter, MS said it's server issues.
Well I read it too but who knows.
-
A coincidence with a giant on this island? I think not! There may be a reason for Usopp to be added to the team. Imagine - a reunion with Dorry and Brogy! Two years have passed, whose to say they haven't made their way back to their crew and began travelling once more?!
A coincidence that you would put a theory like this in this forum? *Reads theories in your sig *…. I think not!
-
isn't nami wearing a new bra? or was it like that for a while
-
Wondering if this island was another one of Vegapunk's failed earth-heating systems? Like the one on his home island, but it went overboard and razed the island uncontrollably? Just an idea.
I love this idea. I really do. I'm going to be believing in this until it is proven wrong.
-
I feel that Nami creating the milky road for them to travel makes sense. The fact that the enviornment is not correct for it to exist makes sense, but at the same time, same with a lot of her climatactics. Her tool that she used may simply generate an enviornment that can sustain a milky road for them to travel on. Who knows how long it would last if that is the case. I am curious to see oda's explaination.
-
For Punk Hazzard being the Wano Kuni… I don't see why it isn't plausible. Brook and Ryuuma are the ones who have given us information about it, both of which are fifty years or older. Unless Brook actually, y'know, read up while he was touring (if there are even records of this kind of stuff), his information is likely as outdated as him! Ryuuma's even more so.
We know by this chapter that something happened on this island four years ago, but that still gives 46 years from Brook's time that the country could have changed. And then there's that dragon. Going back to the Monsters one shot, seeing a dragon makes me more inclined to think that this place would be the Wano Country. Dragons seem to be more mythological in the current OP world, at least going by Robin's reaction - being an archaeologist gives her the most knowledge of the 4 seeing the dragon and, thereby, the most credit. So having the place where they see a dragon for the first time be an older Wano Country makes sense because of how there were known to be dragons in the same location back in Monsters.
I'd be fine if it wasn't the case - things are looking great regardless! - but for now I'm of the belief that this is the Wano Country we've been waiting for. And it's nothing like was expected. XP
Its just as probable as the Sunny being Pluton. There are no proof against it, but it would be damn anti-climatic. I want to see both an island with a heating problem, and a japan-like island.
Also it would be pretty weird if an island populated by Samurais strong enough to have a closed doors policy to be turned into a marine base.Heck I could say it is Elbaf, since the information the giants had is 100 years old. And there is a giant in there. One bigger than normal, prolly the elder of the giants, who governs Elbaf.
See your arguments for this being Wano are the same as mine for it being Elbaf… Its just too farfetched. .-.About this chapter. I haven't stated my opinion, but its just:
You know that awesome momment when you are searching for adventure and then BANG DRAGON. Hehe Its awesome. -
So a guy on NF just went and posted a picture showing the admirals/garp/sengoku when they were young. You guys on AP seen/heard of this picture before ? Would be mighty suspicious if you hadn't.

I didn't see it yet, even visiting the Volume 65 thread, so thanks. But why suspicious? Just because we are on an One Piece forum and they aren't?

Ok,guys. According to other foruns, it seems that these chapter had some translation issues. Apparently, when Zoro aks about samurais he says:'Is it that samurai….?Hey,Brook?". Also,Smoker doesn't say 'Luffy', but simply 'Straw', and Nami warns them to ride the milky road fast before it vanishes.
I hope that some japanese users- Hello,Rubia -may help us to confirm these informations. -
Someone should edit the first post with CCC's translation. As usual it's more accurate than those of various websites. Thanks again, CCC.
! Full script:
! 655: Punk Hazard
! Cover Story: Water Seven- Galley La Company's Genius 10-year old Secretary
! Luffy: "Wow! Look! There's a volcano erupting on that island!"
Nami: "Right, so listen up! None of the three needles are pointing there!"
"That's strange even for the strangeness of the New World!"
Brook: "Take care of yourselves, kin of Laboon!"
! Luffy: "Whatever, let's land! We can see it already, right? Who cares about the needles?"
Nami: "We can't get any closer! And what about that sea of fire! I don't understand…"
Sanji: "Luffy, I've got bad news. After all the trouble we went to to catch that deep sea fish... the parts that we cut up and were towing for later have all burned."
Luffy: "Gyaaaa!!"
Usopp: "The fish burned up in the water? It's only a matter of time before we do too!"
! Franky: "No way- the Sunny is too super to lose!"
! Nami: "Isn't it weird that we're not burning though? This sea! Look those fish bones! Bones! Bones!"
Brook: "Eh? You called"
! Denden Mushi: "Puoho! Hohohooo! Puoho!"
Luffy: "What's up with this! It's crying! Does its stomach hurt?"
Sanji: "Stupid! That's the emergency signal! Someone is asking to be saved!"
Luffy: "So we can talk to them if I pick up?"
Robin: "Wait Luffy! There's less than a 50% chance that it's a real distress signal. There's a good chance it's a kind of trap that the Marines often use. We could be exposed if we're within range of a wiretap!"
Usopp: "As expected of Robin! Luffy- be careful with this one!"
Luffy: "Hello, man who will be king of the pirates, Luffy speaking!"
Usopp: "You already said too much!!"
! Denden Mushi: "Save us!"
Luffy: "!"
! Denden Mushi: "Ah... it's cold... are you the boss?"
Luffy: "I'm no boss. It's cold there?"
Denden Mushi: "My pals are getting cut down, one after another! We're getting killed by samurai!"
Luffy: "Hey what's your name! Where are you?"
Denden Mushi: "Someone save us... doesn't matter who... this is- Punk Hazard! Gyaaaa!"
! Usopp: "Uwaaaaa! Someone got them!"
Luffy: "I smell trouble!"
Usopp: "Well of course it's trouble! They were cut down!"
Robin: "That may have been an act... it could still be a trap."
Brook: "Keeping calm~~~!!!"
! Zoro: "I hate samurai... Brook-"
! Brook: "Ehhh THAT KIND of samurai? That's what they call the swordsmen of Wano. Wano is a country with an isolation policy that doesn't accept outsiders. They're not a part of the World Government. The samurai are so strong that not even the Marines can approach."
! Usopp: "There's really a country like that?"
Franky: "But this isn't Wano. They said Punk Hazard, right? Is it that volcano?"
Robin: "If the man we spoke to was using a Mini Denden Mushi, the waves could only have come from as far as that island."
Luffy: "Alright! Let's go save that guy!"
Nami: "Nooooo!"
Usopp: "We're probably already too late!"
Chopper: "Samurai are scaaaaary."
Brook: "I'm scared as well."
! Tashigi: "Smoker! Just now..."
Smoker: "Shit. What in the hell kind of route have we taken? The chance is 1 in 3. That's usually what we expect... The three islands that the needles point to when coming from Fishman Island... "Risky Red Island," "Raijin Island," "Mistoria Island." I was sure the Strawhats would go after the needle that shook the most and end up at Raijin Island. Do they just ignore all guidelines..."
! Marine Grand Line Unit 5th Division "G-5" Vice Admiral- White Chaser Smoker"
! Tashigi: "But Smoker! Since the incident four years ago, Punk Hazard has been blockaded and uninhabited! There shouldn't be anyone there!"
Smoker: "Yes... we wouldn't expect that anything would be living there under these circumstances. But our only scent leads there. Move out, men!"
! Sanji: "Here you go! Deep sea fish bento!"
Luffy: "Uho! Fun!"
Nami: "How'd the lottery turn out?"
! Zoro: "It's us."
Robin: "Ufufu. What fun."
Usopp: "Someone replace me!"
! Nami: "Milky Road!"
Luffy: "Awesome! A cloud path! So you can make the kind we saw on Sky Island?"
Nami: "Ehehe. Because it's a cloud, make the trip quickly while it's still stable."
! Luffy: "Alright! Scouting party go! Come on, Mini Merry! This deep sea fish... delicious!"
Chopper: "Good luck you guys!"
Franky: "These guys... getting lucky with that lottery."
Sanji: "We can go afterwards, too!"
Brook: "Yohohoho go in good health!"
Nami: "Fight, Usopp!"
! Usopp: "Take my place~~~!!"
Luffy: "Oh, we're climbing! We'll pass right over the sea of fire!"
Usopp: "This cloud... can we really get back?"
! Brook: "Can they really reach the island on that cloud?"
Nami: "Hmmm... not sure!"
! Chopper: "Thank goodness I didn't win that lottery. I'm no good with the heat..."
Nami: "It's not like he could have gone alone. But as soon as they see that there's nothing there, they'll come back."
Sanji: "Alright! Now I'll make a cold deep sea fish dessert for you, Nami!"
Franky & Brook: "Whaaa!"
! Luffy: "Hey look! There's really an entrance there!"
Usopp: "Right, because there were people here a long time ago, but I can't see how anyone could live here now! That call before could've come from somewhere far away! Eh, Robin?"
Robin: "I didn't think it would be good, but it's actually delicious."
Usopp: "Why are you guys eating the bento now?!"
Zoro: "You don't want any?"
Usopp: "I wouldn't be able to keep it down! Ahh... the disease from two years ago has returned. Hey you guys, the truth is, I have "I can't go to this island sickness."
Luffy, Robin, Zoro: "We know."
! Entrance to Punk Hazard
! Luffy: "Thanks for bringing us this far, Mini Merry."
Robin: "There's no mistaking it. The name fits."
Zoro: "So the distress call definitely came from here."
Usopp: "We're forbidden to enter this island! Hey, Luffy, look! The marks of the World Government and Marines! So even if someone is here, they've got to be government people! Let's return from this fool's errand! You guys- this is a crime but-! Ah, well, pirates are criminals…"
! Zoro: "It was all burnt, huh."
Usopp: "I don't know! But do you really want to pick a fight with the World Government! Oh… I already did that."
Robin: "It wasn't always burning… some sort of disaster? An incident?"
Luffy: "This heat… anyway-"
Robin: "I dare say this was once a private residence… a government facility of some sort, a while back."
Zoro: "Think it was blockaded because of the danger of the fire? Probably wasn't a good place."
Robin: "And the fact that none of the needles pointed here… what have we found?"
Luffy: "Hey! Guy from before! We've come to save you! Get out here! Samuraaaaai!"
Usopp: "Don't call them! We'll be murdered!"
Zoro: "So you've finally got an appetite!"
Usopp: "Shut up! This is stress eating! But something is wrong… the voice on the phone... he said it was cold, didn't he!"
Luffy: "Oh, right. Cold in a place like this? I wonder if he's stupid."
Usopp: "What kind of reasoning is that!?"
! Franky: "Something wrong, Nami?"
Nami: "Yeah… if I look at the clouds closely, there's something strange about the air of this island. The other side is intensely cold."
Franky: "What the hell!?"
! Usopp: "Whoa a giant!"
Luffy: "No, bigger than a giant!"
! Quite a large bone is burning
! ?: "Gururururu."
! Usopp: "…! Eehhh! Ehhhh!"
Luffy: "Hmm?… It's...! This..."
Zoro: "No… a creature beyond imagination! It shouldn't exist!"
Robin: "But this form! It couldn't be anything else!"
! All four: "A dragon!"
Dragon: "Who are you?
Luffy: "Wahh?"
! The inhabitant of Punk Hazard- a dragon -

Nope, it's from the SBS.
I looked them up in the vol 65 thread.
They looked much wilder than I drew them. And Garp's scar is friggin old! He maybe got that since birth!
B2T:
PH being an area 4 Vegapunk to develop a heating system for his homeland makes much sense, but this theory also has a flaw:
Why should the WG spend so much money and build an island just to help Vegapunk heating up his homeland.
It'd make more sense if this heating system would have been built on every island that is too cold. -
This post is deleted!

lol, "Punk Hazard" sounds like it could be a stand in JJBA.

The idea of Zoro not knowing of samurai hadn't set right with me, I was sure he heard that Ryuma was a smaurai during their fight. I found it after some searching= http://www.mangareader.net/103-2574-18/one-piece/chapter-467.html he never said he's going to pretend he hnever heard of samurai like someone sugggested. He said "I'll take your sword, but lets pretend this match didn't happen ….. saumari of the country of Wano!"
[QUOTE=Roronoa Zacho;2507042What also came to my mind is that there is a ghost city in america where a fire burns underneath the earth's surface makin the floor so hot that almost no one wants to live there anymore. Experts say that this fire could burn hundreds of years from now on. IIRC that fire occured because of a gold mining plant.
On Punk Hazard even the sea burns so maybe Oda had his inspiration from that ghost city. If the ferric inside the island also is burning and vaporizing its an explanation why the Log Pose doesn't point its magnetic field there.
I remeber hearing of that city in a series on cable, think it was "Life after People" they described how there are tunnels under the town from the mining the fire started when, from all things, they did an old tatic - to burn an old garbage dump. THere were some cracks in the ground where the dump was so the fire got into the underground system and set a type of rock there that was exposed in the mining. This rock can burn and lasts a long time.
Of course thing in real life would be tamer than manga, so we didn't see no walls of flame towering over people on the show, but they showed houses and trees that burnt the ground was still emiting smoke because the fire still raging underground because of this rock it still will burn for years.
WARNING= NOT SERIOUS- HUMOR at work= It would be funny after all these thoeries, if Oda said the island and seas are burning because of someone set fire to garbage that still burns. When asked why the seas burn people will go "what the fuck?" when told there's a type of lowlying gas or oil that burns.
I don't understand why people even have difficulties with the island having no field - the log pose was set to the three islands that Smoker was talking about when leaving Fishman Island, so, since they haven't yet gotten it set again at one of these islands - it naturally still points to them.
Not to mention that the minister even said some islands do not register on the log, he never said those islands were "de-magnitized" , just some don't register. Nami asked how that could be, I would think if he knew of the magnetic fields and how the log pose works in the New World, he would then know if some are de-magnitized. But he never said they were de-magnitized.
-
Hmm, Looking back at the image of the gate, I'm thinking the Dragon is not meant to be there or at least wasn't there when the Marines built Punk Hazard. I mean, The gate clearly has no top, and is no more than 10 stories tall, so I assume the Dragon (which has wings) could just fly over it if he wanted to escape. So the Dragon is probably not why Punk Hazard was fenced off, and maybe just decided to live there when he found it (since few people would go there).
I'm also not sure that this is the Island Vegapunk was using to test his island-heating device, as it doesn't seem like the island's condition (from what we've seen) would make it worth abandoning. Also, unless he was heating the place with an unstable nuclear reaction, any island-heating device should presumably have an off switch or at least a hard reset (i.e. breaking stuff until it stops working). There must be some other reason why the place is abandoned that we haven't seen yet.
Actually, thinking about it, it might be that Vegapunk did use this island to test his heating process, but this worked a little too well, and unexpectedly attracted Dragons to the island (who maybe wanted to live somewhere warm) and that's why its abandoned.

yeah.. seems like some major mistranslations. thanks for clearing it up "ccc translation"

I hope Oda will clear this up in a SBS or sth.Oh ... and that chapter was the best chapter since the time-skip imo. Loved everything about it.
-
Franky needs to change his hairstyle again, I'm bored of the beetle look lol.
-
These past two weeks have been my favorite chapters in a long while.
-
Good to see Iceburg… and his new secretary. Jeez, 10 years old. How pissed would you be if a 10 year old (or 8 at the time I suppose) was hired over you for a job. I guess that just leaves Paulie and the other foremen, and Zambai and the rest of the Franky Family (minus square sisters) for Water 7 covers. After that we're damn close to done. Maybe Impel Down or something.
-
Franky's still rocking that hilarious beetle do, and Sanji cut the fish with a wood saw lol. It seems odd that Zoro is asking about samurai after fighting one on Thriller Bark and referring to him as such, oh well. I guess it's just an excuse for a little hype. Wano is getting about as much hype as Elbaf. Looking forward to both of those. This samurai will be a nice little teaser too. Assuming Zoro struggles a bit against the one, an entire country of them will seem pretty intimidating.
-
I love Smoker's scar (I thought he had one on his chest too, guess not though), but his hair seems weird. Like the sides are shaved off and the top combed back. He also gave us some nice setting about which islands are where. I've heard some grumbling about skipping Thunder God Island, but I can't say I understand it. I mean, there's no reason they can't still go there. I think the chance it was simply delayed is as good as the chance that it was skipped. More importantly, Smoker is living up to his title, proving to be a formidable hunter. He had Luffy read perfectly, but chance intervened. Now that Luffy can actually fight him, I hope he has a big role in the 2nd half of the series like Garp supposedly had with Roger. And the background marines are hilarious. Much more entertaining than the old bland "good" cannon fodder marines.
-
Nami learned to make the milky road on the blue sea, as many had predicted. Now all that's left is for her to ride around on a cloud. The group composition for this adventure is perfect in my eyes. Luffy obviously needs to go, Zoro needs to go with a samurai lurking, and Robin needs to go to unlock the curious history of the island. Usopp is there to be the designated freak out guy, but knowing what happens at the end of the chapter, it's also good that he's there for the sake of his dream. I also didn't realize how much stuff Robin was doing on my first read through, like steering the Mini Merry and feeding Luffy. She's certainly found a nice niche to fill.
-
Any thoughts that Punk Hazard was somehow related to Vegapunk got instant credibility with the reveal that it was a former Marine/WG facility. I'm always amused for some reason when Zoro just cuts his way through doors.
-
A dragon!! Oh, how I've waited for this chapter. I'm so glad we finally get to see one. And thus, my theory of how the island works is pretty simple and straight forward. I think it's a brutal winter island, and the fire comes from the dragon. I'm hopeful it works this way, because it would be an awesome display of power, proving that it's more than just another beast. I'm not really sure what to make of the log pose not working, though. The fact that it can talk is also pretty cool. I have a hunch that only Luffy will be able to understand it, but we'll find out for sure next week.
-
-
It's been mentioned..
I think they look very different.
So far, I agree. There have been no signs of those totem/aztec like statues the burning island Blackbeard was on. However, they could still be on the island–also, that chapter is depicting islands near the beginning of the New World so it is still quite possible it is the same island
-
Pretty nice chapter. As usual Oda comes up with some cool stuff and fans with odd theories. I don't really care to argue against them and wilk simply wait to see what happens, but I do have a question….
Has anyone who dropped knowledge about an island in this series ever been flat out wrong? I can see how people could assume that Brook's knowledge was outdated, but Oda has never been the misinforming author type. It would seem odd to have Brook explain something then flip and go, "sorry, your info is 80 years too late. Keep that ancient stuff to yourself old man."
-
Since Blackbeard was probably still at the beginning of the New World and there can be only so much burning seas and islands … i'd say it is Punk Hazard.
I hope Oda will clear this up in a SBS or sth.The Sea isn't burning. There are fish in it (not to mention a crappy dingy and San Juan). I don't see how it could be Punk Hazard.
-
It's buried now, but I said that the island is either on fire because of one of Vegapunk's experiments (sure, the earth heating whatsits) or because Ace destroyed it (it makes more sense than burning garbage). Also, I want to point out the oddity in the navigational choices between the Paradise Red Line and the New World Red Line. Both are required stops, one because of the current up the mountain (though Marines have circumvented that), the other because both options for passing the Red Line are the same geographical location, but different altitudes (over/under water).
When departing Laboon and Crocus, Nami was given a choice of which island path to follow. It would lock their path in a set line (barring Eternal Poses) and they could get within sight of other islands and not have their magnetic pull register on the Log Pose. This is similar to what's happening at the current chapter. The part that I'm unclear on is what choice Nami has at the second half. Are there only three islands to choose from and has Punk Hazard truly been de-magged? Are there multiple islands and only three are shown at a time?
I feel that the New World's navigation isn't as well defined. That can be on purpose, which is cool. It just leaves a lot of questions.

i'm dying to see the "do you dragons fart" question in the upcoming chapters

i'm dying to see the "do you dragons fart" question in the upcoming chapters
hahaha nice
poop not fart
-
It's not likely that Punk Hazard is the same island as in chapter 595. My guess is that the island where Blackbeard held Bonney is Risky Red Island.
-
I wonder if Caribou ever will make an appearance again in the main storyline.. :ninja:
-
Thanks for the image, I didn't watch that filler. Seeing that image makes those "dragons" look more like an overgrown archeoterex (spelling?) that birld-like dinosaur than it does a dragon.
isn't nami wearing a new bra? or was it like that for a while
IT's not a bra its a biniki top. Well since the mermaids are big on wearing Bikini tops I bet she Nami got a lot from Pappug's clothing shop. Anyone else remember that she, Usopp and Luffy took everything from the shop?
@gotta<3OP:

They are a different kind of giants and are not from Elbaf. But you still can be right about some giants there, since Oda said that there are several islands that have giants, not just Elbaf.
Nope, it's from the SBS.
Do you which SBS that is? I missed that one!
Since Blackbeard was probably still at the beginning of the New World and there can be only so much burning seas and islands … i'd say it is Punk Hazard.
@Dan:
The Sea isn't burning. There are fish in it (not to mention a crappy dingy and San Juan). I don't see how it could be Punk Hazard.
Thank you Dan, Seriously it's been pointed out several times, the island Booney and BB were at did nto have red and burning waters, while Punk Hazard does.We saw the seas when Sanjaun Wolf was complaining baout the fishes nibbling on him. But I want to add this=
1- we saw a town burining at BB and Bonney's location, We did not see half the island is buring. Only one town.
2-Why does any burning island have be the one island thats buring for years? Have these people not heard of the ruthless pirates that does property damage? Blackbeard is a pirate known for destroying towns, Bonney is a pirate that doesn't believe in being nice to others. Its simple math, that the fire in that town started in the fight when BB was catpuring Bonney. -
I want to know who the 'boss' of the guy on the den den mushi is. Also, who that was on the den den mushi. (Den den mushi guy for next nakama! You heard it here first!)
In all seriousness - I reckon the boss of that guy may be some revolutionary. The revolutionaries may not be 100% allies to Luffy. Thoughts?
Loved the chapter - especially Usopp. Always love usopp. I wonder if a samurai sword is coming Zoro's way? -

Is there any evidence of that or are you just freeballing?

He's got one already.

Don't know if any one noticed, but it was Molokidan who tl'd this chapter. He used to be pretty accurate. :)

Part of me wants the guys getting killed to be caribou's crew, but I guess that's unlikely.

I was simply stupidifying my argument to make a point. I just tought that some giant on Elbaf could be a little bigger than the rest. I know the head is most likely from a Oars like creature. :3

I think the island was a regular winter island where something went really wrong. Thats why it is really hot even tough the sky looks like a winter sky.

Best chapter since the end of FI. I don't know if Oda just wanted to get it over with or he just was interested in FI, but since then every chapter has been a 10 for me. Anyways, I loved that Oda brought Ussop back and we got some information on Samurai's. I didn't understand why Zoro asked about them through when he was trained in a dojo and wears Samurai cloting. I guess Zoro will fight the arc villian because I doubt Luffy fights the strongest swordsmen on Wano when they arrive their.

@The:
Yeah. But Zoro's pretty thick, like Luffy. He's very forgetful.
What I think is that maybe he wasn't sure it was the same samurais. All they heard was samurais, so I'm assuming he just wanted to clarify it was the same ones, although that is a bit of a stretch.:ermm:
