@RobbyBevard:
You have ten magic eyeballs. Six of them are used up. You then know you only have four left. It doesn't matter how long each one lasts, or if you aren't looking at it when the technique ends. You know you are running out, and that you should try a different strategy. Even if the time for each eye varies, it does not matter, you know you are running out of them, and that you have lost a bunch in this one battle.
He died because he could not count to ten.
He chose to go rogue at the Kage summit to try and make a power play. He could have waited for a different time and place to have his battle. Or for someone else to soften Sasuke up first. Or not fought Sasuke at all.
His stradegy was to take Sasuke out with Izanagi. If he deactivated it Dazno would be dead since Sasuke is the faster and more powerful character. Sasuke tricked him and once again this has noting to do with counting.
He never choose to go rogue. They found him out. He never chose when to fight Sasuke. Madara brought him right to him
@Nobodyman:
Wow, this chapter was, dare I say…........good.
I mean, there were a few questionable parts that I could nitpick (how did Raikage survive the transportation? Shouldn't he at least have some damage?), but overall it was fine. It had another character succeeding where Naruto failed (even if it was that dumb swordsman guy who no one cares about) and, well...just that awesome last page double spread.
Not quite Raikage's Belt Gold, but I'll give this a Passable Purple.
IDK how Raikage survived, but in the spoiler script it said Raikage can survive, but surly not you Hokage.
How did the Raikage get his arm back? I thought he cut that one off. :S
Error or Tsaunde technique helped him too
@nizar:
The rikages arm isnt spposed to be cut
an i have aquation that was bothering me tsunade is the first grandchild so che have somme of hes dna why dose che not have mokton jutsu
Just because your their child doesn't give you their KK
@Hisoga:
i don't understand.. isn't that Hiraishin is some kind of teleport jutsu and was based on time and space jutsu or kuchiyose no jutsu?
yea, She placed a seal on her forhead so Mei can get their
@Strawhat:
Tsunade is dumb or what? How the hell does she want to use Hiraishin on Madara? And now she should have 10 minutes at most to finish this before she loses her chakra.
She was refering to Mei not Hiraishin. She wanted a way to get Mei their because of Madara fire jutsus can be contained by a suiton user.
@Outerspec:
Really enjoyed the Naruto chapter and finally we got to see that kid of the 7 Mist Swordsman do something. The Kages are looking pretty badass on the last page and I'm distinctly happy that Naruto did nothing but fail this chapter! Please let the Kages handle Madara by themselves or at least take out the Mummy Tsuchikage!
Naruto can fight Sasuke and Tobi or whatever. Let the Kages handle Uchiha Madara on an epic 5 on 1 battle! Well, 5 vs. 2 if you include the Mummy Tsuchikage but he's split in half and should easily be disposed of soon enough.
Bleach, bleh.
I hope so
@mr.french:
Just when I thought Kishi explained how stupid flying thunder god bird technique worked… And what's up with people knowing the technique now? ...I feel like, to read Naruto is the same as driving a spoon at the side of your temple and never to stop.
And whoever that kid is with the sword from the Mist. Kishi I don't care about him. You haven't developed his character at all, so don't start commenting on how much he's grown.
I hate Naruto.
Kishi has already explained how it worked. Tsaunde had a seal on her forhead.
Great chapter overall

What manga is that? I'd read it in a flash.
Color me surprised with this week's Bleach.
I mean, Kubo finally gave us some backstory on the Fullbringers. And I thought the execution wasn't too bad, not too drawn out but not too little details to have you say, "ok, what the hell was the point?".
You actually had to read each page carefully…...not too shabby. Out of all the flashbacks, I think I liked Jackie's the most. But perhaps my underlying questions are, a) what do the Fullbringers have against the Shinigami? Maybe Kugo brainwashed them or something?, and b) wait, how did Rukia use her Shikai as a doll when the Kido backfired previously?
Granted, Kubo could've done these flashbacks a little.....better, but heck, I've been asking info on these guys for weeks now. And I got some.
Off to read Naruto.

Read Naruto.
….Eh, I admit I like the fact that a. Naruto is not able to handle everything by himself and b. you've got the Kages ready to stop Madara. But again, I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed when we're still in this one desert area.
Naruto: Well that actually pretty entertaining. I actually felt excitement in a Naruto chapter, something that hasn't happen in a long while. Good show.
Bleach: So random people with varying lives all decided to band together…why? This is still not making any sense. What the hell is their goal? And can this stupid fight just end already? Its embarrassing watching Rukia getting owned so easily by such a simple ability. You have ice powers for crying loud lady. The girl just throws furniture and place people into toys. This should've ended before it started. Oh wait we gotta stop for exposition XP.
Kishi has already explained how it worked. Tsaunde had a seal on her forhead.
So the Flying Thunder God Technique of Stupid worked because of the seal on her head? I thought that was for X-treme healing. Do you know what you are talking about?
I kinda see Naruto now learning Flying Thunder Cat Technique from Genma and the other two guys. I mean why not? It would be refreshing actually. Less rasengan, and more of something else.

Tsunade was not transported with the FTG. She was transported by that technique the Raikage's secretary uses which is mainly for inanimate objects.
The reason why that technique is not used on a living person is because in most cases it's too rough for the human body to handle. That's where Tsunade's seal comes into play. It's a S-Class jutsu that when released (stored up chakra) it heals the user's body reversing tissue damage and even regenerating damaged organs like the largest one on the human body…the skin.
Actually aside from minor things I rather enjoyed this week's Naruto.
Bleach needs to pick up the pace. I mean it was nice seeing the the fullbringer's past and all, but in hindsight did we REALLY need to?
Bleach needs to pick up the pace. I mean it was nice seeing the the fullbringer's past and all, but in hindsight did we REALLY need to?
I think we needed to, but Kubo just really did it all the wrong ways and basically too late.
That's just my take on it though.
I don't know if he wanted us to sympathize with them or not but most of them I just hate more.
Yukio is a spoiled little brat. NotBradley is a psychopath murderer. Perona is a kidnapper…or I guess abductor would be the more appropriate term. And Kubo did nothing to explain the reasoning behind their motives and the grudge against Soul Society. Hell, he didn't even make sense when he was talking about throughout history the strongest were always the one with the numbers. Ignoring the many instances when the few strong suppress the majority of the weak.
Exactly Outer.
Not to mention the flashback seemed to come all at once anyways with little to no connectivity (or relevance) to the current situation. Like, it almost seemed like he took each of their backstories and put them in a blender, and called it good.

He must have seen an episode of 'Will it blend' and tried it on their flashbacks.

Since we are on the topic. Please explain why FTG is "Stupid'
What about when naruto uses Sage Mode, frogs, chakra arms etc…. main characters have main moves they will always use.
I actually really liked the chapters this week, and the ending pic in naruto gave me chills… cause naruto tried to join in the huddle and onokii blocked his face out, now officially one of my favorite characters
oh yeah and I got hope from this naruto chapter that the kohana 11 might fight the hosts too. but then I thought of something awful, what if kishi has lee go 8 gates and shows him being superpowerful only as a way to bump up sasuke, like he's sooo strong but now sasuke beats him cause he's uber strong, I thought of that and my heart sank a little
8 pages of flashbacks for the fullbringers and yet we're still no closer to understanding their motivations.
Daz, where are you?
Walter With Eyepatch's motivation is clearly to kill as many people as possible in the name of the Holy Watch (May Its Blessings Be Many.)

I can almost picture him quiety whipsering to it. "Tik Tok on the clock…amen" Then someone dies.

"Because Father said clocks slay time. He said time is dead as long as it is being clicked off by little wheels; only when the clock stops does time come to life."
The mothers weren't killed while they were pregnant. That would make it impossible for all these Fullbrings to exist. The mothers were attacked by Hollows while they were pregnant but lived from the attack and went on with their daily lives and repressed the memory where some seemingly invisible monster knocked them around abit one day. At least that's how it must have gone.
It was just a bad day.
But how did so many humans escape a Hollow attack they can't even see unharmed? I guess the Soul Reapers, but…
But how did so many humans survive an attack from an invisible monster? The Soul Reapers?
Anyway, I honestly think the point of these guys getting together is they are all sociopaths unable to adapt to society and they banded together. I guess Ginjo went around looking for recruits or something odd like that. Perhaps their grudge against Soul Reapers is them killing off the Hollow and letting them be born with these powers, but I am just reading between the lines.
Yeah I'm with most everyone else, this week's Naruto was actually pretty good. Even Kishimoto, the master of screw ups himself, can't ruin a top tier battle fest. And Naruto being cock blocked (literally ) is always welcome. Hope he doesn't screw it up next week. I'm only about 50% sure he will, which is quite good considering my usual "optimism" considering this series.
I'm thinking I'll read Bleach tomorrow. I try to only skim Bleach chapters these days, because of how boring and tiresome it is, but from what I can tell this chapter is a good lesson in bad writing (more so than Bleach usually is) so I think I will read it in full at some point. Damn you, Kubo.
The problem with this flashbacks is that they explained something but at the same time explained nothing, if that makes any sense.

The flasbacks were crammed and hasty ,of course we barely care about this people the all thing feels empty.
I really fear the upcoming Shuu-chan flashback.

The problem I see with the Fullbringers "working" together is that Jackie is not like the others. She loved her family, was grateful for everything and then her family dies and she's sad about it. All the others are indeed sociopaths and psychopaths. Did she not listen to their back stories at the team meetings? I'd figure she wouldn't work with them. Yeah I can see her following Ginjo since he lies and whatnot. But eh…I don't see a puropse at all. Next chapter best be a better explanation. None of this predator prey nonsense.
Ah I forgot about mohawk kid. He's just lovesick for Shuu so he seems out of place too.
So, I'm still confused about Notbradley. This chapter added more nonsense to his "I put a timer on things they have to meet or go boom" power (which was what it was originally unless I'm missing something). But somehow that translates to being able to hulk out or somehow putting a timer on his eye to kill his wife which happened but his eye still went up in flames… wtf.
The only backstory that wasn't terribly unsympathetic was Jackie's. Why would you test your power by killing your wife unless you're either crazy or retarded? Why would you be surprised that someone you trapped isn't returning your affection? Why do I care that your parents don't love you when I know that you're a god-mode prick that screws your dad over anyway? The Failbrings all have superpowers and feel isolated or whatever, but aside from Jackie it's no wonder no one likes them.
And where're Tsukishima and punk kid's motives? Or Ginjou's? Is Ginjou going to pull the whole "I'm a ronery sociopath with superpowers whose daddy didn't love me; pity me" backstory too?
so how come it is dangerous in Naruto to teleport people when they can teleport snake, frog, dog, raccoon, elephant, bird, cyclop, zombie, crates, ninja, and etc?

I'm not really trying to defend Kubo or anything, but I would think Jackie having her parents killed at such a young age would place her in the "sociopath" category, at the very least. That would be hard on any kid.
See, I think this chapter had a lot of potential if the flashback was split up into three or so chapters. I know Kubo is slow as hell and it would lengthen it, but in hindsight it may have made us understand this whole thing a lot better.
Let me try to explain what I mean. First, the organization of this entire flashback was terrible. It just… comes out of left field. More importantly, I had a hard time realizing it was switching back and forth from character to character. Also, why are we getting inner monologue for characters most likely dead? And to add on to that, the Notbradly guy looks much different younger, so I honestly had no idea it was him until he lost the eye. It kind of looked like Tsukishima for a few moments. It doesn't help I can't remember the guy's name. So to summarize, the ordering was terrible and was a jumbled mess.
Now, for the content...
For NotBradly, why should we care about this guy when he flat out murdered his wife to test out his powers? Now, if it was explained that his wife did something absolutely terrible to him like cheating or plotting to steal his wealth, at the very least you could empathize with him, even just a little. Instead, it seems like the wife is the one to be empathized with.
For Yukio, he is just a little brat who thinks he is better than everyone. If it was because of things his parents said/did to him that caused him to build walls around himself, Kubo should have given us a little more information on what his parents did that turned him into a social awkward outcast. At least then, we could see things from his point of view. Although, I doubt any of that would justify him killing his father and stealing his company.
For Jackie, I felt the flashback was the best done. I just wish we could have seen a bit more about how her father was killed and the aftermath.
For Riruka, I feel she has some serious mental issues. This is another example where Kubo should have given more information on what happened with her parents and how she got to be that way. Why would she go so far as to kidnap her crush to try and get him to love her? Unless her parents never gave her any love and called her a slut or something. I mean, it would still be a ridiculous notion either way, but at least then you could see the whole picture a bit better.
As for Tsukishima and Ginjo, I think more information on them will be revealed soon. Though I'm not sure about the mohawk kid. I like the guy, but he really seems out of place somehow. What did Tsukishima do for him anyway?
so how come it is dangerous in Naruto to teleport people when they can teleport snake, frog, dog, raccoon, elephant, bird, cyclop, zombie, crates, ninja, and etc?
Maybe humans can't withstand it somehow?
I don't think that qualifies Jackie to being a sociopath. I hadn't seen anything in her back story to say she lacks social conscious or wants to cause harm to others and doesn't care about anyone but herself.
But I think we can all agree Kubo has been pants at the whole flashback thing lately. And well general story telling…Fullbring is turning out worse than the Bounto thing in my opinion lol. But oddly enough I've been hearing that the anime is somewhat improving plot points in this arc?

You're misinterpreting the situation and his power. His power, as he explained it, is to set a condition that must be followed to completion within a set time limit. It is, like he said in this chapter, a contract. In this case, his contract was to "kill his wife instantly with just a glance". Just before he went to do it, though, he hesitated and attempted to back out, violating the contract. According to his explanation when his power was introduced, if the person attempts to violate the contract or runs out of time, they're consumed by the flames of time. In this case, his eye was burned, as his eye was part of the contract.
It's not perfect, but it does make sense.
8 pages of flashbacks for the fullbringers and yet we're still no closer to understanding their motivations.
Daz, where are you?
I'm currently stressing myself to death over choosing a masters thesis to write, and have forbidden myself from using this place too much until the choice has been made.
I've read the chapters through, and will most likely go off on a tirade about it at some point. So, so much stupid.

Holy shit, he has the power to kill someone instantly by signing some Godlike contract and he chose to hulk up when fighting a Division Captain? THAT was his powerup!? The dude deserved to die for sheer stupidity.

What you're referring to are summonings and it's not harmful to summon a person. Pa Frog summoned Naruto to and from Konoha on more than one occasion.
!
You can call it teleportation too if you like but many times teleportation can be mistaken for high-speed movement in this manga. When you summon someone or something to a place you need a summoning contract with that person.
! Hence, the reason Naruto could be summoned and vice-versa.
The teleportation technique Mabui was using on Tsnuade and The Raikage is quite different (it wasn't a summoning) and those two Kages could not be summoned anyway because they haven't signed any contracts with the people on the battlefield. The teleportation technique Mabui was using would have been harmful to any living thing.

Ah, Giriko.
I'll forget it by next week.
"Do you know what your talking about?" Ironic question, but i use to people here having no clue before bashing something. (Won't even bother explaining since Outerspec already did)
He didn't explain it correctly, and you're not paying attention. Let's go back, shall we? You said,
@Earlier:
"Kishi has already explained how it worked. Tsaunde had a seal on her forehead."
That's what you said was is in response to what I said about the Flying Thunder Cat technique, which was,
@Me:
"Just when I thought Kishi explained how stupid flying thunder god bird technique worked… And what's up with people knowing the technique now?".
So, you either mistook the subject about what I was talking about, or you thought the seal on her forehead allowed the Mist Kage to be teleported to their location. Because that is what I was referring to. The 4th needed to place his seal on an area and warp to it. This chapter changed the way the technique worked, because I thought I understood it perfectly. Who had the specific seal to warp the Mist Kage? Because the seal is apparantly unique and requires the person giving or placing the technique on whatever area it will be placed on knowledge of the technique. At least that is my logical understanding of it. The technique should be unique in itself to allow the user to choose to which ever seal he or she wants to move to instantly. That is why in the Gaiden, the 4th had his shinobi throw special kunai all over the place. And who knew the seal would be needed beforehand? And why were the 3 idiots also transported along with the Mist Kage? It raises too many questions that won't be answered. Not to mention, it was thought of, for over 500 chapters to be a technique only known to the 4th himself. But now 3 idiots have knowledge of it apparently. It would have been easier just to reverse summon the Mist Kage. It just makes sense that way. But Kishi most definitely wants to have Naruto learn the technique.
Since we are on the topic. Please explain why FTG is "Stupid'
Why do you care why I call it stupid? I hate Naruto. I hate how the technique reappeared for dumb reasons.

All deus ex machines. So? They all suck.

Because the object teleportation technique does not require a signed contract unlike summoning. Somehow writing you name in a scroll grants safety when being summoned. And Tsunade could have done the Flying Thunder God ritual like the Mizukage did, but she chose the Naruto-ish way of wasting vast amounts of chakra to get a simple thing done, just to show how GAR she is. However, she still ended up looking frail in comparison to the Raikage, who came out unscathed.
How can somebody dislike this weeks chapter? It was amazing. The sheer awesomness of how bad it was written had me rolling on the floor. Bleach is a really good comedy manga. lol
Saw the Bleach episode 346,fullbring ability still doenst make sense,is it me or faces are bit off especially Orihime,liked Chad appearence ( Riruka punching chad in the abs was bit funny,she got hurt),"he is hot " was even worse then the one in chapter no sense of timing, ichigo reaction to things was so…...i dont even have word for it.Lol at preview they are making Shuu-chan appear a bit too much and ichigo is present to see him.
Oh the drinking scene was weird,and it seems Riruka will be like Gin introducing fullbring aspects.

Tsaunde has it on her because she the 5th Hokage. They placed it on her beforhand, she didn't make the seal. The 3 idiots are the one doing the technique. It takes all 3 of them together to perform becuase they are not genius like the 4th Hokage. Just like Yamato wood style isn't on par with the 1st.

I think most posters are over looking one simple fact with these two.
They were children/ pre-teens when they did this. The most illogical age span ever. I don't think it will hit Yukio on exactly what he did to his father until he gets much older.
Especially since it seemed as though his real parents were in fact trying to reach out to him. He was a "know it all kid" in his rebellious phase with super powers… I honestly am not suprised.
Riruka was pretty much a love-struck girl who acted on emotion rather than logic, notice the guy she kidnapped was clearly an adult... yeah.
Don't get me wrong, their motivation isn't clear at all of what they're even trying to accomplish. But everyone's pasts except Not Bradley makes sense.

You don't get it, do you?
-the Fourth Hokage's teleportation technique required a kunai with a seal on it to be placed somewhere. This acts as a target for him to teleport to.
-these three random fodder are apparently using the same technique.
-however, there was nothing with that particular seal on it for them to target, meaning that (from what we've been told about said technique) it shouldn't have worked.

They placed the seal on her beforehand because she the Hokage now. tsaunde has the Seal on her body, which is why they are teleporting to her.
What was the thing they were standing on? Doesn't that have something to do with that? Otherwise she could've teleported them right were they stood. Or maybe I'm reading into this too much.

The teleportation technique Mabui was using would have been harmful to any living thing.
First off, summoning itself is not a method of transporation. Summoning is just the act of calling someone to you. You can summon someone, and they can walk to you, run to you, travel by plane, train, automobile or use instant teleportation. The summons in Naruto appear to use that last option.
Now the question is, why is it that the summon contract method of teleportation is completely safe for living beings, but not Mabui's method? The main difference between the two appears to be that there is no signed contract with Mabui's jutsu. In that case, what does the contract do? How does it allow for safe teleportation? Things like this really do need to be explained or else it becomes really confusing.
Yeah, this. I'd very much like this aspect explained.
Somehow, even though you can summon and desummon at will after signing a scroll, no one ever uses this to escape a dangerous fight.
Imagine, being able to gather information, or assassinate a target, and then just poof away without a trace to thousands of miles away. I can't see a single circumstance where that would ever be convenient or useful.
….
Oh. Right. Jiraiya could have gotten away from Pain incredibly easy. Especially since he summon Ma and Pa frog, and then desummoned Ma. Who in turn, should have been able to summon him away from there. But pft, that'd be strategic and useful for ninja stealth missions or something.
And we didn't find out humans could be summoned until it was randomly done to Naruto later.

The ninja world is still dealing with the complexities of the concept of retreat ever since Shikamaru introduced it in the Chuunin exam.
Oh wait, I think a few members of Akatsuki retreated a few times. That must have been their great advantage that made them such an intimidating force.
fodder ninja: lord hokage sir!!! the guys in ninja science have discovered something amazing!!!!
hokage: okay what is it
fodder ninja: it's something that'll save our men from dying pointless deaths, give us the opportunity to make a new plan, and generally help with our magnificent tactics of running headlong into sharp objects!!!!!!
hokage: hmmmmm…what do they call it??
fodder ninja: they call it..."retreating"
Just got around to reading bleach
My God.
Number one, rushed much? lol
Number two, I love how all the Fullbringer kids, with the exception of Femme Chad, all just happen to be horrendous and sociopathic. Maybe fullbringer powers make you psycho too. Faux Bradley's story is especially stupid and generally what the fucky. His desire to kill his wife came out of fucking nowhere (an impressive fault to have when the story is like four panels).
Number three,
Ginjou fifteen or so chapters ago:
"When you become a Fullbringer, you explode! You need another Fullbringer to contain the explosion or some such."
Now Ginjou:
Nah I was just trolling. Just like my "plan," that whole twist was utterly pointless! CACKLE
I really fear the upcoming Shuu-chan flashback.
Teen (teener?) Shuu-chan: Oh, me? I'm yet another born prick.
JUMP editor end chapter note: THE SECRET OF THE FULLBRINGERS–THEY'RE ALL JUST JACKASSES!

As for Naruto, I hope Tsunade gets to do something really cool. I still like her character.
Kishimoto, stop trying to make Madara seem cool by making him a stoic god or whatever. It's just not working. He's lame and samey. Nagato/Pain was way cooler because his threat was executed well, his fights were entertaining, and he had a character arc. Madara is just... bland. Underwhelming. When you somehow create a character who summons double-stacked meteorites that's as boring as Madara so far, it's not saying much for your writing ability.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
The only Fullbring I remotely feel sorry for due to these flashbacks is Jackie. The person I really feel sorry for is that poor sap stuck in the doll house and force fed sweets for who knows how long.
Holy shit you're right. Wonder what happened to that guy after his ordeal. Did he chalk it up to psychosis and is still coping with his kidnapping amnesia, wondering just why he would subconsciously fabricate such a ridiculous (yet lucid) and drawn-out fantasy; did he become an investigative journalist probing supernatural phenomena with an eye towards justice, but who will tragically never make progress on that front; did Riruka bin his body lol
THIS GUY is the guy that's the most interesting out of the flashback flashes!
Just read the latest Bleach chapter… Yeah. What the hell did I just read? Nothing more I can really add. You just have to wonder why Kubo thought it was a good idea to give four characters an origin flashback and have a fight scene in one chapter.
