The second one I guess. Clockwork Island Adventure is great, while the first movie is pretty skippable.

I was rewatching some old episodes, and I noticed that during the Arlong arc, we see Johnny or Yosaku dancing during the party at the end. What is up with that consistent dance? Where they are holding the baskets with the chopsticks in their nose. Any info on the meaning (if any) on this?
It bugs me everytime I see it. :sad:

It first aired on RCTI, they aired one new episode at every sunday morning until the Jaya arc, but and then moved to Global TV. They broadcasted the anime from the beginning (re-broadcast) until the Jaya arc then continued until beginning of the Thriller Bark Arc. I think they aired one new episode per week until the Jaya arc, but then they aired one per day from Monday to Friday. In the middle 2008 they never broadcasted the anime again because reprimanded by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) for broadcasting the TV anime. But from september 2010 One Piece broadcast from beginning by Global TV with 5 episode per week.

it is unlikely to have it. Some of earlier eps were released in VCD (read it correctly, VCD) with 2 eps each VCD by Tora if I remember correctly.
Why don`t you watch it on Global TV (if you are Indonesian)? The RCTI dub is better than Global, but it is the only Indonesian dub available

this may be a question that's been answered somewhere else, but i haven't heard the explanation yet. is it just a business choice made by funimation, or are they showing commitment to their own site and simulcast or what?
it seems weird since they put it up on hulu a few days after it debuts on their site, anyway. why not slap it up legally on cruncyroll, considering that site probably gets more traffic and attention from anime fans overall? i may be mistaken, but it seems like the second best place to get it out there to people besides having it on tv.
Also, it's a children's comic from Japan.
Why are you comparing it to cultural engravings and burritos.

Also the stream for "One Piece" is currently only for North America, Toei Animation probably doesn't see a reason to play it on Crunchyroll as well.

I'm currently on Episode - 300 of the anime, I don't know if it's already been said in further episodes or discussed in another thread so if it has then sorry.
Where I'm at now, I can't understand why Zoro's two swords are cursed. When he got them in Loguetown the shop owner said they were cursed, but since then, they've acted like normal swords.

As far as I remember only one of the swords is cursed and he's learned to control it. I think there was a part in Whiskey Peak about it fighting against him but he's managed to get it under control. And something else happens later on but I'm not sure where episode 300 is so I'm not going to say any more.

I don't think he was angry so much as shocked. Of course, the question still remains, but personally, I would be disconcerted too if I saw my own grave regardless of the circumstances.

No. That's why its called "filler". Its almost entirely a waste of time meant to pad things out, and generally has very little positive value and adds little… often detracting from the pacing and story in fact.

! if nothing goes wrong with extra padding or fillers in general , episode 513 should be the start of it.. , however that would be late august… and TS merchandise doesn't come out until around half september, so it's anyone's guess atm when it could start.. but def. in or just before september

Ranking and Quality of One piece SUBBING (Fan and Official)?
I live in honduras so its not easy to get episodes so Some friends of mine compiled episodes 1-498 from various sources on a harddrive for me as an early birthday present. i have run into various differently subbed episodes from multiple groups. My friends have offered to redownload some episodes that we (all of us are fans the 7 of us may be the only fans here ;D) find to be rather badly subbed. I have run into Kaizoku fansubs, Hell-fansubs, H-k Fansubs, Balkongo fansubs, gerusama fansubs, Vegard Anue fansubs, desiboy fansubs, vegapunk fansubs, yibis fansubs, Horriblesubs fansubs, ADC-Elites fansubs, and what seems to be offical toei animation subs. I want to the ranking of these subs. i try googleing it but i get limited and conflicting info. ( i can't access the english form of google and I have a government issued isp so i am limited to what i can access for now so my my google is limited, my friends can afford someother isp that is eqvilent to having internet freedom in the EU and US) I want to know which are the best? Who they are? etc.. i request info. Help? -
Funimation(the "toei" ones you are referring to) have released 1 - 205 on dvd with absolutely superb subs, buy those if you can.
Otherwise use KF for 1 - 298
Vegapunk 299 - 377(some of the later ones are soft subs only)
Whatever you can find for 378 - 381

Thánk yóu. So I should keep the K-F subs i got, Keep the vegapunk, keep any funanimation ones, and use yibis for everything else in the latter part of the series? Someone messaged me that H-K is Superbad and to keep away and that adc-elites is a iffy but to keep vegard anue and desiboy? what doyou think? have you heard of desiboy and vegard anue? i will stop watching for now and can wait until i get the best subs but if i can continue without a loss of coherancy then i will. The goal i think is to find the subs that keep the message of what is said as close as possible to what the japanese writers had right? I don't think keeping the same idea is the same as keeping the message because in watching the variuos different subs and watching the same episode from different groups the word difference i see is almost comical like sometimes i can't tell who is closest because it is all over the place. i saw one where i guess the line was "quick turn the ship around !" and one sub had "Turn ship around…like letter U!" and another had "quick Turn the ship backward quickly" so yeah......i just scratched my head thats why i want to find the best ones but thank you Darkstorm i appreciate your help!:D

No, not really. The VS-subs were basically slapped together with the first raw I could find mere hours after the episodes aired, half the translation was either copy-pasted from various manga-scans, or just plain guesswork on my part since I really didn't understand Japanese that well back then, and seeing how said "group" was really only me and Elric, (aka SockPain as he calls himself pretty much everywhere except here) there was nobody to proofread those translations for accuracy, plus the timing was generally kinda sloppy as well. So there is a world of difference in quality between VS and Yibis, simply because we do have translation-checkers and editors to make sure the scripts aren't riddled with typos and otherwise awkwardly worded lines. Plus using about a billion times better raws, and actually releasing in HD. -

I don't even know what's available for the gap between Vegapunk and Yibis outside of those speedsubs of mine which I do not recommend, nor do I have any idea where one might find Vegapunk's files these days.

FUNisub, that would be a rip of the officially subtitled streams by FUNimation and Toei. The translations for those are largely competent, albeit with some occasional stupidity with name-spellings and such, plus some issues with consistency or lack of quality-control. If you're just downloading the series either way, you might as well go for the fansubs really.

But does anyone know how to get the vegapunk episodes? I just can't find them. All i do have is InstanzNP and AnimeSoftsubs episodes are they good realiable subbers. are the subs coherent and consistant? i don't know man i really like vegapunk but it seems impossible.
