@Sano I've theorized that Toei's pushed to rejuvenate/catch international releases up these past few years in anticipation for the live action series, piggybacking off the publicity and whatnot. Them having more of a handle over international distribution has also helped them in that regard as well.

@Blake-Bakes-Cakes To my knowledge, this dub hasn't aired yet. The show premiered on CN India in May in Hindi and other local languages, but not in English. The only evidence of this dub existing is through those two clips. Pretty strange developments.

Wow, nice! It most certainly will be a redub, because only 26 (possibly up to 52) episodes were dubbed years ago, using the 4kids masters. It'll probably also be dubbed into 5 languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam), as CN India's been doing that for all the other anime they've picked up over the last few years (Dragon Ball Z Kai, My Hero Academia, etc.). Looking forward to the new dub(s)!

@MugiMikey Sorry if my memory's faulty here, but wasn't there evidence via social media that initial casting/recording of Punk Hazard was being done circa 2017/18? We know for sure a slew of those TV specials had been in the can for a few years before their release, so I think it's likely that a least a good portion of Punk Hazard was done before the speedup was announced in 2019. Why exactly we were put in that limbo state is anyone's guess, whether it was lukewarm DVD sales and reexamining the whole release structure, Toei not being happy of no TV deal at the time, etc, etc. But I don't think we were ever truly canceled.

End of the day, let's be happy things worked out the way they did.

Other countries have been dubbing the recaps, so stands to reason we will too. And since they're included in the Japanese Piece's, they'll probably be in the Voyages.

@Zephray For whatever reason, the Nami special (along with the first couple of 2 hour specials) haven't been dubbed into as many languages as the later ones. You'd think Toei would want to prioritize having all the recap-heavy specials dubbed to reel in new fans like you said, but seems they have different plans.

Unless we actually do go back and start dubbing literally every part of the franchise we skipped over, I'd say there's a slim chance of it happening. But here's hoping!
