Pain is lame. But his Metagross chair is the most expressive thing in the whole manga, dammit! I think the dialogue between Naruto and Pain is somehow strange and just blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Ok, the first thing. Pains parents got killed by a accident. I really want to know what the other ,,Pain'' for him is. Just hope that Kishi won't disappoint me.Why not? Nothing to lose but my life… and I got that for free!

I liked the shadow effect at the end with Nagato's flashback, but other than that, it just seems like Kishi is stalling for time until he figures out Naruto's final answer. (that and since most key villains not named Hidan or Kakuzu have "tragic stories", we have to bear…yeah, Zabuza doesn't either but he had Haku so that sort of screwed him in)

I thought it was a good chapter. We're getting to see more of Nagato's past. I'm guessing there will be at least 2 more flashback chapters before we see Naruto's answer. And I'm positive the other painful moment in Nagato's life is when Yahiko died. Also I have to say that while it seems insensitive, the death of Nagato's parents was their own fault. If they'd have identified themselves as civilians or something then they wouldn't be dead.

^sasuke wins, hands down. His life is just the pure essence of suck. I honestly feel Sasuke has the right to be pissed, but as for killing EVERYONE in konoha thing… he's a little overboard for that.

Pain 1 sucked. Hey the evil Konohans accidentally killed my parents. "lol kid, we're sorry." Kishi should've of made the Konohas who were involved into cold heartless bastards. Would've went with the whole war brings hatred and revenge. Instead he tried to make the whole thing into an accident while also painting the Konoha nins as sympathetic characters. Well here's hoping Pain 2 isn't a clusterfuck but something way bigger than Yahiko dying. It better involve someone's dog getting raped.
Knowing Kishi he'll have it end up being a Konoha guy during the great war is walking by a cliff and accidentally leaves his headband on the ground. Nagato and co walk by and Yahiko slips on the headband. He falls off the cliff. Nagato then runs to a dying Yahiko but he trips and ends up paralyzing his legs. Nagato then crawls to Yahiko's body once he reaches him the Konoha nin walks up and says, "lol kid looks like your friend is dead. Have you seen my headband. I forgot it since I was in a hurry to go to the Johto hidden village and pick up my pokeman ball, my bads." Nagato activates the Rinnegan. He kills the Konoha ninja pokeman trainer out of sheer revenge and steals his pokeman ball. Inside the pokeball is a Metagross. Nagato is really hurt by pain now since not only his best friend died due to stupid pokeman battle hungry Konoha ninja. But he didn't get the Jiggylypuff pokeman he always wanted.

Yeah, as much as Sasuke pisses me off one has to admit his life fairly SUCKS. He's being incredibly immature about the whole thing, but you can easily see why he's such a seething ball of ANGST.
Nagato's other "pain" had better be Le Miserables x 100 or he's going to come off as whiny, self-righteous, and delusional. Which he already is, but, y'know, moreso.
At LEAST Sasuke isn't bullshitting anyone by claiming that he's doing what he does for the better good. He just wants revenge, plain and simple.

Which is why just on the verge of death before he gets ultimately defeated Nagato will recognize the emo-pain potential of Sasuke (who just came to destroy Konoha) and will pass down his will to him. That way Sasuke would get yet another power up with the Rinnegan and become Perfect Pain. You've heard it here first.

I totally agree. He's not interesting enough at all to get one. Hell, 75% of the character's in this series aren't interesting enough to get a flashback.
